Wow. I'm so glad I found this channel! I've been into competitive shooting for about 2 years now and was referred to his book to help my mental focus before the match. I definitely have the problem of overthinking and worrying too much about how the other competitors are doing. The self image is key! Looking more to more videos/podcasts!

do baseball teams really not have mental coaches? thats mind blowing. this is an avenue still in its infancy. Im happy to be a part of it and occupy it. I wish i could do more work on this avenue but i dont really know what to do except make youtube videos and write a book.

what percentage of the mental game is dedicated to discipline?

i feel like the mental game is 99% discipline. letting your mind be the master of your body not your body master your mind. like you said changing the mind is similar to changing the body. and it boils down to controlling your mind specifically your attention. these mental leaks come in the form of being distracted (in a broad sense of the word distracted) 99% of the time. So if we can be disciplined and control our attention and where its directed this is the key to a strong mental game. I imagine Lannys lifestyle when he was at the top was extremely disciplined.
