As a Pole I am proud to have such a marvellous pianist like Kristian. I remember him when he won the Chopin's Piano Competition and from that time he has been one of the best pianists of the world. Thank you Kristian!
It's a great pleasure to watch this record. Zimerman's interpretation is one of the gratest that i ever heard! Do you also have the Chopin concerto 2 played by him?
I think he just wanted to be sure he plays all the details Beethoven wrote: dynamics, tempo fluctuations, accents and so on. Mr Zimerman is a perfectionist and doesn’t like changing the text. Having in mind this is probably his last recording of these pieces, he wanted to make it as perfect as possible, to the slightest detail.
@@93220 Oh, I love you so much, I could kiss you. Thank you, thank you. I ended my membership two years ago, so I only recorded Zimerman's Brahms 1, and Bernstein Age of Anxiety on digital concert. Since this is newer, I never got a chance of watching it. So I really appreciate it, Richard. Thank you.
The greatest living pianist in the world.
Beyond a shade of a doubt
Along with Pletnev

Greatest pianist in the world, thank you, from Tehran.
Another great performance by Maestri Zimerman and Rattle! and the LSO!
