    Great video! Just a word of caution though, I bought a brand new OEM Honda set off eBay for $60 and they were 5-volt injectors. I'm glad I tried to start the car before I did the resistor delete. Otherwise I think the 12-volt would have fried the new injectors.
    Better to crank the car and see if it starts before doing the resistor delete just in case

  • @merlin3921
    @merlin3921 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    So, just to confirm, you bought new fuel injectors and they were 12 volt instead of 5 volt? Is that not strange that Honda would create different voltage fuel injectors for the same vehicle?
    Oh, thanks a ton for posting this video - really well done and super informative.

    • @MyLooneyBin
      @MyLooneyBin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most fuel injectors are 12vdc, but yes, for some reason, Honda installed a resistor to drop the voltage to 5VDC for their fuel injectors, so if you buy AFTERMARKET fuel injectors for the accord you will need to delete the resistor - you should also get a tune. but that is hard to do if you don't have an upgraded CPU

    I have f22b2 accord can’t identify misfire issue due to missing wiring from the OBD reader under my dash. But it misfires and jerks on acceleration and release of gas pedal at higher rpm. Also now consumes about 5 times the amount of gas it should and smells like fuel in the cabin. It has a eBay cold air intake and aftermarket long tube headers and no tune could that cause air/fuel ratio problem? So far I’ve changed spark plugs and wires, it also has exhaust cut up to the catalytic converter. So now I’m down to either I need new injectors, fuel filter or pump, or even just my cat is clogged from having no exhaust? It runs and drives just misfires and backfires loud sounds cool but I know my motor is just screaming in pain. Someone help please thank you.

    • @MyLooneyBin
      @MyLooneyBin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not hear that ... interesting, because the resistor box is just taking it from 12vdc to 5vdc? I will have to check into that

      @@MyLooneyBin i think low impedance is 3 ohms and high impedance is 12 ohms. I think with the resistor box and low impedance for oem 95 accords. I think. For 420cc injector do i need to delete the resistor? Thank you

    • @MyLooneyBin
      @MyLooneyBin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RenzSantiano yes. If they are after market injectors they are most likely 12vdc. The OEM voltage on the Accord for that year was 5vdc so you would need to delete the resistor. With a 420cc injectors you will need an after market intake and the best spark you can get. 420cc is a lot of fuel for a standard setup. It probably won't work.

    • @MyLooneyBin

      it is a 1994 honda accord with NEW injectors - these are NOT OEM injectors, these are aftermarket injectors. Most after market injectors are 12vdc, the 1994 accord had a 5VDC injector system, so you have to delete the resistor to bring the voltage up to 12vdc

    • @MyLooneyBin
      @MyLooneyBin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably. If you are using aftermarket they are most likely 12v. You need to do the resistor delete. Just do it in a way you can change it back if you ever want or need to. Also if your injectors are too big the car can't ignite the gas.

    • @MyLooneyBin

      I am pretty sure the old injectors work off 5VDC, but I guess all you would have to do is meter the voltage coming out. I guess OHMS law is the answer, but either way, you have to delete that resistor that drops the voltage.
