Checking the injectors and running cleaner through revealed a leaking injector which would leak fuel into the engine even when it was off creating a rich condition in that cylinder. Also it would cause the car to be hard to start from loss of fuel pressure in the rail. Connecting the wires to the battery to turn on the injectors is dangerous and pressurizing the injectors is dangerous. The pressure could release spraying the cleaner in your eyes. Goggles a must and face cover. Try at your own risk.

Hint: Disconnect fuel pump connection. Start car until It dies from fuel starvation. Release gas cap. Remove positive lead at battery. No fuel In the line. No danger of spark.

If I unplug one fuel injector on the motor the O2 sensor picks up more oxygen it tells the ECu to pump more gasoline you get worse mileage and the motor runs off balance. If I use one less injector in the can The motor still runs smooth the oxygen level does not shoot up.

Mine has been bogging down until I hit about 3-4K rpm and won’t cruise higher than 70-75 even if I floor it in 5th gear. It’s manual. It’s a 98. Changed spark plugs, fuel filter, distributor. Map sensor is fine. Tps is fine, air temp sensor is fine.
Did you check the air filter, Fuel pressure regulator, or the fuel pump could be on its way out. Sounds like an issue with fuel pressure or ignition system any codes?

I want to put three injectors on the side of a tin can under the hood use vapor to run the car and cars O2 sensor EC you program to control the gas the car uses.
Let us know if it works. Why are you not going to use all 4 injectors.

Very nice vid. I have a big leak on the second injector counting from the driver side. Fuel is leaking from the top of the injector or from the injector ramp iself (I cant tell since I can see on this angle). I ve never taken a thing like that before. I need to at least stop the leak so I can drive to the car repairshop. It as 2.2 1996. At least the injector part looks the same in your 1994. Any advice or guidance would be very appreciated. 38911bytefree it's probably a bad rubber ring seal. It's under pressure I don't think is any way to seal it temporarily. cover it with some good tape do the gas don't spray everywhere then carefully drive to the mechanic.
Great video also well u had every thing taken off u should of clean the EGR passages out as they get clogged over time an can cause a miss fire at idle if it’s clogged

Hey Chris i don’t know if you will respond to this but did you have to torque the injectors down and if so how much did you torque them to?
kohn gaming just snug up the 3 nuts. The injectors are just held in by rubber seals and the 3 nuts.

It's either fuel spark or air. Did you just change the plugs for tuneup?
If it does not respond it's either not getting fuel or air. Is the air filter clean? Could be the valves too they have to be adjusted in the accords.
I got a 98 civic. Sometimes when the automatic transmission gears down it will rev like crazy. Ive changed spark plugs wires and dist cap. I took off the intake and cleaned the throttle plate well. Ran a few cans of seafoam through. Its still doing it. I bought a set of injectors and a egr gasket because i watched a video on cleaning it. Ive had the car over 8 yrs. Drove it 5 yrs started doing this so i just parked it. It sat 3 yrs. Ive been driving it the last 2 months. Aby idea what it might be? Usually i can determine what the issue is off info and videos but i cant find a definite cause on this issue
Your wasting money man. It's an obvious transmission issue. Maybe the torque converter.

My car had the same issue. I'm guessing it could be dirty throttle body or egr system needs cleaning I have a vid on that on my channel. Otherwise might just be because it has a basic computer that is slow to response changes and is noticeable when a big change happens.
+joseolg I noticed a similar issue with mine and after many a trial and error it turned out that my catalytic converter was plugged just enough to restrict the exhaust in the higher RPM ranges. It started suddenly bogging out under load (open road, up hills). The more clogged it got the less and less power it had. So, it can also be on the other end of the power production system.
Also, if you're hitting the pedal and the engine is sleeping/lagging before it wakes up, check for slack in the throttle cable. If it has stretched out over time you can adjust it until it's taut. Its super quick and easy to do. I could keep going with suggestions but I will just hope you've solved you're issue!
thanks for your suggestions i found what the problem was it was my timing belt someone put the time wrong way off but now it runs great thnaks guys
Yep people that dont know what their doing when i took off my head to check for coolant leaks i should of made a video. But i marked the belt and cams with paint so i didnt have to redo the entire belt and was careful not to turn the motor untill i had it back together and it ran fine but it was so screwed up from being messed with by other owners i sold it.

I just put on a new head on a 95 accord 2.2l I got everything back together. and when I try to prime my pump the check engine light stays on. does not turn off like yours did. it's getting power and I replaced the main realy. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. I also check the file pump fuse. everything seems to be ok. but my fuel pump is not pumping?!?! ahhhh please help.
check your electrical connections to the pump. it could be bad also. you might not be turning the key correctly it's the point right before the starter would engage. Also check for fuel leaks.

What did you connect the fuel injectors to test if they worked? Where did the wires you put in them come from?

I haven't worked on newer Honda's. It is just annoying to hear a comment about my voice when i'm making videos to help people. Maybe i was too far from my camera who knows.

is it possible to pull the fuel pump fuse and run until it stops to drain the fuel before doing this if not no big deal

is the return line directly draining the gas tank? how much is going to come out when i disconnect it?
You have to release the fuel pressure first by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the car and letting it use up some fuel to release the pressure. Its just a return line only the fuel in the rail will come out.
@@chriss4365 i don’t even know if it’s the fuel injectors, what could cause the car to run perfectly with a brand new battery but stop working 20 minutes later? It cranks and stutters a little when i try to start it.

Will this fix the issue where I try to accelerate but my car hesitates to accelerate then 5 seconds later it accelerates the amount that my foot is pushed down? First time it happened I pressed down an awful lot and it tested track (scared the shit out of me) it’s worth noting that I have to let off the gas and press again when it starts doing it to “reset” it. I look forward to your reply it’s getting cold so I would like this issue addressed asap
These cars are not designed for rapid acceleration. When you hit the gas the transmission is always slow to respond. Could be several things. Start by checking for codes.
Have you cleaned the throttle body?
How do you know which connections is ground wv power
If it just clicks and nothing sprays out its wired the wrong way.

+Randall Shaw sounds like low fuel pressure. Try turning the ignition on and waiting 10 seconds before you start the car. oing that allows the fuel pump to run you can hear it running when done right.

+Randall Shaw no, don't ever just throw parts at it. You need to try to narrow it down, it could be dirty injectors too. Watch my video on cleaning injectors.
How do u know how tight to tighten throttle cable?
They are steel parts just snug them up pretty tight.

Not sure but i assume they are 12 volts because the electrical system is 12 volts.

Can this fix a no start
No start is probably a fuel flow issue or distributor issue. Check for spark first before messing with the injectors even clogged ones the engine should still run but it will run bad. Turn the key to the on position right before the starter would engage listen for the fuel pump you will hear it, if not then that's the issue go and check the fuses first before replacing the pump. Could be a clogged fuel filter too if the pump is running.

Make sure the crush washers are installed and you torque it tight.

@@chriss4365 tried again give up now the three bolts that hold on the fuel rails they just keep spinning they don't come off I'm just going to buy a new engine
Just go to junk yard and buy the injectors harness. You may be able to remove the old studs and put reg bolts. The rubber seals on the injectors is what keeps them from leaking the 3 nuts just hold them in place so the fuel pressure doesn't pop out the injectors.
Tell me why. You may save me a lot of trouble.
One of those things if it works why isn't everyone doing it. I have seen a lawnmower run on fuel vapor. But a car is controlled by computer it will have to be reprogrammed to run on vapor fuel.
chriss4365 The computer is still in control the O2 sensor will still have an input on the ECU program. The way other people do it it's just a bucket of gas evaporating.my way the injectors spray in the can they won't know they're not in the side of the motor. So more fuel will go to it first second third gear less in fifth gear. Once I'm going down the road in fifth gear I can manually switch off one fuel injector and maybe go to 30 to 1 gas ratio instead of the 22 to 1 gas ratio my car has. Look at my avatar that's the dash display 150 miles to the gallon. Yesterday I had 150 miles to gallon for 11 miles today 146 miles to the gallon for 9 miles.

You know if you replaced one you should of not been a tight wad and just replaced all 4 of them
This car ended up being a piece of junk the previous owners screwed it up cut wires installed that stupid air intake. I ended up selling the car so I was not going to replace all the injectors not about being a tight wad it's about being smart. I even replaced the head gasket in that car and the computer. After about 1k in repairs I got rid of it. Modified cars are trash only buy stock. If a car needs alot of work do the minimum because after 1k you may say screw this and have wasted your money.
