      @@RadAdventureDude i wanted to ask you what is the best way to grip the throttle while standing up, because sometimes when i go fast over bumps on the trails standing up i accidentaly twist the throttle a little bit. Because i am on a 50 cc nothing really happens if i accidentaly twist the throttle, but it's always better to know

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like to adjust my hands so they are straight, and in the middle of the throttle. With you arms coming straight off the grips, this will allow you to have a good grip, if you hit any big bumps on the trail. You don’t want to have your wrist bent, or it will weaken your grip to the bike!
      Then gripping where you can let off the gas, or add more throttle is another important part. This way you always have the option to release, or add more throttle as needed!

    Do you only use the clutch point of motion when in first gear, so if your in second gear you don’t have to use the clutch paired with the throttle to move .

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! Anytime when first getting the bike rolling into motion, you will want to use the point of motion on the clutch. This is when you use the throttle, and clutch at the same time.
      Once in motion, and the rear wheel is spinning your next gear shift will not require this point of motion. You will just let the clutch back out, and reapply throttle!

      @@RadAdventureDude couple more here, when shifting down, do you need to pull the clutch in or just let off the throttle ? And when I’m neutral and you shift down into 1st, when going to second gear do you shift up once or twice ? I appreciate it my dude ! 👍🏼

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      More great questions! I always like to suggest that you use the clutch to shift up or down. So when possible use the clutch when shifting down.
      You only shift up once. Neutral is located in between 1st and 2nd, but it’s not a full gear in between. So when going from first to second, you will just shift once to shift into second gear. Barely tap the gear shifter from first, and you will be back in neutral. It’s weird at the beginning, but you will get use to the way the gears work! Thank you for watching, I have a video coming out next Friday on this topic in more detail. So make sure to Subscribe so you don’t miss out on that!

    sorry to be a pain but how do you not stall going slow around corners in higher gears ?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So if you are stalling around corners, then you will want to shift into a lower gear to help avoid this. You can also hold the clutch in while rolling around the corner!
      To keep the bike from stalling in the higher gears around corners you will really have to keep the bike revved up so it doesn’t stall out!
      One more thing could be how the idle is set on the bike!
      Hope this helped! Always feel free to ask any questions you may have!

  • @Tybone614
    @Tybone614 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey man quick question I have a KTM 200. I don’t have that point of engagment on my clutch it won’t move by itself like you showed, it just starts to bog out until I give it gas. Is there a way to adjust this so it engages?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is normal for two strokes! You will want to apply more throttle as soon as it starts to bog down. Then the two stroke motor will want you to rev the throttle to raise the rpms before letting the clutch out and applying throttle to get this bike rolling in motion!
      Let me know if this helps you!

    • @Tybone614
      @Tybone614 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok great! Thanks for getting back, so just apply more throttle while I let out the clutch slowly?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, and also rev the motor before you start to let the clutch out! Being a two stroke it needs you to keep the revs up to get the dirt bike going.

    • @gryyta9617

      Yes, but you can release the clutch faster and its more forgiving...

      It’s always good to use the clutch like this for the longevity of your bikes transmission! Once you get into the higher gears you will be able to go through this process much faster. This is because the rear wheel is already spinning, and the bike will not stall out! Hope this helps! Always feel free to ask any other questions you may have!

      @@cloutgod9748 you can theoretically shift fast whitout clutch, which is doable at the downshift...upshifting without clutch aint good for the gearbox and its really fucking hard. I have done it racing cars though
