Hi, the Jag manual shows how you must close the bonnet from the front of the car pushing down by the vents. Obviously this is get even gaps all around, as much as one can on such a large ali panel.
Great job resurrecting this F-Type. I am glad you enjoyed driving it 10 hours at a shot. Better to have a less than perfect car and drive it, than to make it perfect and worry about driving it.

Made no difference to mine, that probably just stops it from going out of alignment over time
