      Speaking Truth
      You have a point.
      For example all the games and media about ww2. We all recognize that the man with the weird mustache is an evil person and I’m also pretty sure that nobody will follow his ideas from the game/movies.
      Same thing with these.
      I didn’t grow up to be a racist, homophobic pig because I watched “bring it on” as a kid. I just learned that some things are pretty rude to say and not be a jerk. I understand it’s uncomfortable to watch jokes like that but it SHOULD be uncomfortable, you are understanding it’s not good to say those things in a real world scenario.
      In modern days it’s kinda like walking on eggshells around everyone so I say we should just leave the good movies in the past. I don’t want another good series to get canceled. If we removed all the jokes and funny things from the 2000’s it would just be...dull.
      There isn’t anymore good high school movies, all of them are trying to be hyper realistic now and I hateeee itttt 😭 (another problem I have is when everyone has “the gay friend” where that’s his only personality trait. Not every gay person is a loud mouth just saying)
      I have a lot of problems with modern shows but I’ll stop my rant here before I say something I regret.

    • @FanGurl4TY
      @FanGurl4TY 4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @Speaking Truth yeah but someone being lowkey racist in a film shouldn't be something anyway as to get over and suffer through like the world is already f'd up enough let hating races not be where there supposed to be enjoying themselves

    • @amandahuang9767
      @amandahuang9767 4 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      @Speaking Truth
      Well no. Just because we realize they’re problematic doesn’t make it right. Like in the Kissing Booth, Elle knows the guy is misogynistic and toxic and violent, but doesn’t actually try to get him any help. He just continues being toxic, misogynistic, and violent.
      Recognizing theres a problem doesn’t make the film unproblematic.

    You know, as much as this movie is beloved, it was the beginning of the end for Amanda Bynes. Apparently, when the movie came out there was a lot of praise for how much she looked like a boy, and Amanda said that although they were compliments they made her insecure about her femininity, and it caused her to become depressed. Which really sucks, because I really don't think she looked that much like a man, but that's just me. I always love this movie and I always love Amanda Bynes, but it does make me a little sad because she was so incredibly talented, and she ended up getting burned out.

      My theory is that if she has her hair down, it's easier for a stunt double to be edited in since the hair can conceivably hide their face. Although Amanda apparently did most of her playing so maybe this movie was just written by a man who does not know the struggles of long hair.

      yasmine mixon the roles are already reversed men have been objecting us and making us fear for our safety our entire lives and we’ve never been equal, we can’t even walk down a street without having to worry. So women saying they don’t like males is simply them making light of it, obviously they don’t mean all men but it is simply a joke since that’s the least we could say after all men have put us through, whereas if men said it, it would not be a joke because it is already true. I’m not meaning to be rude and I’m not angry at all, simply trying to educate and spread awareness.
