Another great video & info. I made it to the top of Half Dome 5 times over my life (77 now) so will be watching your climb as I do not think I will be climbing it again. When I climbed it, no permits were needed, camping was easy, not many crowds. I still think the best view of the Valley, Half Dome & most of the falls, is from Glacier Point. Good news, I can still drive to that look out point.

Have been fascinated by mountains all my life, by mountaineering most of that and by the history and stories about climbing. Though I’m scared of heights and will never climb them, it’s been clear for a number of years that things have gone too far, at least in Nepal. Good on ya for speaking out on this.

Man i love living on the west coast. I definitely live in a special hiking part of the world. Also Kraig, look into the Lost Coast trail in northern california. Not really a mountain hike but a beach hike for 24-25 miles but certain parts you can only cross when its low tide. You can literally unalive if you get caught by thr ocean.

HUGE fan of this new format. Forgot to comment on the Vancouver vid about it. You're so good at recapping life with the Instagram story exhibits. And I love the honesty with the paid sponsors haha. I think I've said this before : the static hiking shots are incredible, but I definitely get more out of the explanations afterwards. Keep it up 🙌

Great video! I am curious how long it take to dry your boots and socks after crossing the river and getting wet. For me, I would take boots off before getting in the water, maybe it's a little unsafe, but I hate walking in wet socks or boots more.

Really enjoy this format of your content (silent hikes with Kraig Adams). I originally started to view your content because of this format, your cinematography is really nice. For me this format was just really relaxing to just watch. I am glad you are bringing it back more consistently. For a while for some reason I felt you were moving away from it when I was starting to see more content with your wife and group hikes etc.

Hey Kraig, I just finished up hiking the great ocean walk in Victoria Australia. It’s a 6-8 day walk from Apollo Bay to the 12 Apostles. Breathtaking scenery, you’d love it and you’d also Love Melbourne which is the second largest city in Australia just two hrs drive away. Think about it, I’d be down to meet you for a day or two as well. (I’m an American living in Aus & your vids are inspiring)

There’s a bit of both. Nearly all camping is in the backcountry away from roads, sometimes in clusters with other campsites and potentially other groups, some by themselves every once in a while. Depends on where you go and how much solitude you want, or don’t want I guess.
