Guys (and Kraig) when crossing a river like at 16:49 please remember the two main rules: 1: don't cross perpendicular to the flow direction, face upstream and either walk sideways facing the flow or walk at a somewhat diagonal line 2: ALWAYS open the buckles on your hip and chest belt, NEVER cross with the buckles closed. If you fall the bag will drag you down or get tangled in the rocks, you will not be able to get out of it quickly. If you fall with your bag closed you are at a high risk of drowning. Also, have a lighter in a zip-lock bag on your person so if you lose your pack you can still light a fire.

That’s why I’m so adamant on living in the wilderness.. of course I want to be near civilization, but places like this are all I need and would ever want.
@Cassakis "A wilderness in contrast with those areas where man and his works dominate the landscape, is hereby recognized as an area where the earth and its community of life are untrammeled by man, where man himself is a visitor who does not remain."
Right. Like a very expensive camera and drones so that beautiful videos get shot
Did not plan on watching as much as I did. This was awesome! Really makes you think about how much speech changes things. Being able to focus purely on what's happening, rather than having to comprehend language, is so nice for stuff like this.
Watching this journey of yours through Alaska makes me feel like I’m floating on an endless ocean enlightened and determined to accomplish anything. Thank you Kraig
youtube recommended this to me for a second time. After watching it again months later, I am still amazed by how enthralling this very minimal video is. Props to you Kraig for making something so simple so pleasing to watch.
This is the most calm and serene thing ever. Love it, love nature! Stay blessed 🙏🏾😊
its amazing how well u can tell a story without talking and just letting the mountains talk.
Yes! Straight here after getting notifications. Need this so badly with everything that has been going on
My dude! At it again, surviving Alaska really is an achievement. Well done.
I am a 40 year Alaskan. Hiked some of the areas you filmed. Loved this video❤
Those moments... immersed in nature, hot soup and coffee in hand... Heaven on Earth.
This was hands down, one of the nicest well put together videos. Great photography, mellow music score and brilliant editing. 10 outta 10 mate. I will watch this quite a few times...
Cheers.
I legitimately got excited seeing this in my feed, been a while since i've felt that way about YT content!
Hi, two questions for your podcast how-to episode:
1. What was the experience of flying during the pandemic like?
2. Do you deal well with wet socks/shoes while hiking? It's my personal pet peeve.
Tx
Loved when you sat on the boat in early morning to the chirping of birds and the reflection,of the sky,of the almighty creator the great one in the calmness and serenity. A great video Kraig!
Oh man, you've done it again, another great hike!
Quick tip, always cross strong streams sideways, so you can "lean" on it
Cheers,
Chris
this video is perfection in every way imaginable
This is the quarantine content I like to see
That music in the first full minute of this video is heaven. Kudos to you Kraig for creating your masterpieces vs. working 9 to 5. You my friend.... are an inspiration to us all and we Thank You for that !!!!
hands down, one of the best vids I have ever watched relative to backpacking, good job man you killed this!!! So relaxing and peaceful to watch, never seen anything similar.
I just noticed he has to cross every river 3 times to get the camera back.
It's basically a day in the life of a rich kid.
@@ChicanoOne760 rich kids waste their time buying gucci and plain with shirts stamped with SUPREME. They don’t choose to go hiking in the forests and they definitely don’t make such wonderful videos.
@@alicia-hd2cs using your logic bezos and richard Branson have no business in outer space. All I'm saying is this guy has expensive gadgets.
@@ChicanoOne760 Yeah but it's not an average day in the life of rich kid. I doubt most rich kids do this.
In reality he or they only cross the river once...it's a team, he doesn't do it alone!
I always have huge respect for people who go hiking or do survival tours alone, its just way different
I'd agree. Nature hits different when you're alone.
Hi Kraig I have seen hiking videos from people all around the world. But you are an artist Kraig. You can make people feel peace with your videos. What you are contributing to the world is peace!
This is what I want to do rest of my life.
Me also
lets hang fam all invited to hike and wander with me in costa rica come along : D

The best part of this journey was when he was standing up inhaling with his eyes closed thinking no quarantine or mask needed just great fresh air.
People spread the virus. No people , no virus. Just you and nature
@Zac Exactly. Thank you!
@@più_lento_28_13 Media spreads the virus much more... they love to fearmonger.
Thank you for allowing me to explore nature through you. It was peaceful!
This Man put hiking to another level . 🙏🙌
this is backpacking asmr as far as i’m concerned
Oh yes, I had strong tingles when he went on snow
Man, another perfect video. Thank you! When possible, try one in the Highlands, in Scotland ;)
Bob Ross is from Alaska and he said "god was having a good day when he made Alaska"

He created all those places on the same day.
You changed my life with this video. This made me decide that this is what i want in life. This is where i want to live.
Another masterpiece Kraig, each video is really inspiring me and many others to go out there and try solo hiking themselves! (I incidentally also uploaded a "Kraig Adams Style" hiking video just a moment before I saw the notification for this one ha). Keep going and inspiring us to do more man.
Love how he eats things like ramen up there. It’s good when you don’t wanna carry too much but make sure you get your nutrition when you go back home! 😅
I’m leaving Alaska after a 2 week vacation. This was my second time going, and I’m sure that I’ll be back 2 more times. Ive always been drawn towards the mountains, but Alaska is something else. It’s very cliche but it’s easily the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to.
Pristine beauty, untouched serenity, matchless tranquility

Got a Gordon Ramsy masterclass ad before watching this, anyways now I'm going to get some oatmeal with a crushed granola bar topping.
Haha
Dude I laughed out loud at this so fucking hard 😂😂
Wow, thank you for sharing your trip with us! I just watched this in my room in Berlin in complete darkness, dreaming myself away to this far away place. Your videos remind me that I feel most like I belong in these kinds of wild places - and to keep seeking them out. There was such a heavenly atmosphere to the parts where the trail was flooded, all that water pouring over, it inspired me. I write music about these kind of experiences, made me feel like a song is coming on. :)
I am just mesmerized by your videos. Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your journeys!
My brother lives outside Talkeetna on the edge of Denali. I need to get back up to Alaska
Must be so incredible to be able to see Denali from where one lives. I can't even imagine.
great town, I could retire there
@3,14 _ the only bear he will ever kill is a winter bear
Absolutely breathtaking
I love watching your videos .,, makes me feel like im out there too😊
i think no matter how good you are , and how hard you hold onto someone .. you end up lonely, compeletly by yourself, this type of videos gives me this information every single shot and second .. and i like it a lot. Thank you ..
One of the most relaxing videos i'v seen on yt beautifuly captured jurney thank you Sir for this id love to do this myself one day so inspiring
Absolutely beautiful! After many hikes in Scandinavia, I definitely have to discover Alaska. I hope the bears don't like germans.
How is this so well made. Wow. I enjoyed it from moment one
So amazing. Very beautiful and inspiring. Thank you
First of all, thank you for this beautiful work. Second, I'd be so eternally grateful if someone would tell me the music being played over the fjords near the end. Please!?
I NEED THAT TUNE IT IN MY LIFE

It's like Bob Ross. But, instead of painting, he takes you with him out in the mountains and the wilderness.
Oh my gosh, yes!
This was truly amazing, loved it. keep up the good work
Non dialogue, non effect, non bgm... just ambience and you alone!!! Amazing !!
