    I'm not sure I'd ever put this motor in a 11-14 5.0 car seeing as you can replicate a lot of the same performance with a much smaller price tag, but if I had a V6 car or a previous gen-Mustang this would be a cool application.

      artsohc Being that our stock 5.0L self destructed and decided it would be fun melt number 8 piston we needed a whole new motor.       9 years later: for 5600 ( like 3000 back in the prehistoric days of when the original comment was made) you can get a damn near indestructible short block aluminator, bolt your motors heads and accessories on, and letterip

    When my warranty runs out I may go this route, if the 5.0 XS still exists. Maybe by then there will another version. This motor may not be the most powerful, but it's stuffed with Ford performance goodies, with loads of potential.

    Wow ford's new motors are pretty impressive. Honestly this engine doesn't make that much less power than the new Voodoo, although probably doesn't rev up and down as quick and isn't as light but I doubt its a huge difference.

    🤗..... I'm thinking about putting this in a Ford Explorer ST.... pairing it up with a Whipple Mega cooler extreme Cat-Back exhaust and a steda suspension kit with air bags.😅 I'm hoping I don't have to build the transmission or change the drivetrain..... but I think it'll hang in there if I don't drive it too crazy.... and with that cold air intake it'll probably be pushing around 700 HP so it's like a Ford trackhawk but naturally aspirated..... think I'm going to call the Ford Troll and put a troll badge on it.

    High compression wish it had a lower compression ratio option to add forced induction,great base line hp out the box I like that but would love 2 see that option. Instead of spending extra $ to do so..

    i have an 11 5.0 6 speed man trans and i really want to put one of these engines in my car in the future. I'm wondering if i can use my own computer and harness or do i need to order one with the engine

    Is the 4.6L dimensionaly the same as the 5.2L Aluminator? The reason I ask is I want to use a Pay-r dummy block for mock up.

    when my procharged v6 blows. (474rwhp) this will be in it next except the low compression version so I can go fi.

    Why would you put this engine in a car in "stock" out of the box form? You can easily get those numbers out of a stick 5.0 with basic bolt ons. Should have done FI on it like it was designed for.

    my question is how much hp can u get out of it saftey I keep hearing 1000hp if u upgrade transmission and such but I also keep hearing 800hp is a safe range?

      Only way to get those # are forced induction, upgraded fuel pump, higher octane 40lb or higher injectors exc..but safely idk how much power...it was designed to be naturally aspirated so it has a high compression ratio, I'd love to see this engin with a compression ratio some where in the 9s to run a blower or turbo..that's the only complaint I have with this engine but makes great power N/A

    Would there be a lot of work dropping a second hand Voodoo motor into a standard mustang GT?
    Same block, drop straight in? Little things like changing the tachometer, onboard computer, exhaust etc?

      This engine is sold with the 11:1 compression only. You would need to contact Ford Performance to see if they have a different option available. -Landan

      Yes, that is with a JLT cold air intake, Stainless Works long tube headers and a Bassani 3" catback. -Landan

    I'm struggling on what I want. The 5.2 aluminator or the 5.2 predator. Would the Predator fit in a 2011

      Yeah but the stock pan won’t fit near the K members. I’m sure Ford or summit has something for these swaps.

    Lmr, I know the 13-14 Roush mustangs with the stage 3 phase 3 option had this motor with Roushes TVS. Do you know by any chance what transmission came with that car? Was it an MT82? If so did they at least have upgraded clutches etc. Thank you.

      These would have been a stock MT-82 in these cars including the clutch. No other modifications were done to those cars for the power upgrades.

      I don't know if you found out or not but no its not. A vodoo motor is a flat plane crank. This motor is a cross plane crank.

      The XS is built with the normal 11:1 compression. Compression would have to be lowered to add any FI application. Otherwise, with some fabrication, it should work.

      +jackslater230011 Shouldn't be an issue at all. With the taller intake manifold you will more than likely need to run a cowl hood. -Landan

      Thanks. The hood for my Capri has a factory non-functioning reverse hood scoop, so hopefully, it won't be an issue.

    What is the rpm range for the cams? 3000/7500 rpm?

      marine0331inf FRPP hasn't put an RPM range on the cams, but we took it up to 8,000 rpms on our dyno when tuning the car.       dont you think 450 is not that much because there is some people making tha same numbers on boss manifold and CAI and LT headers

      hdashti2810 Ford rates the Aluminator XS engine at 500 'flywheel' horsepower on 93 octane. If you consider a 15% drivetrain loss, that gives you around 425hp. We had e85 in the car when we did the initial dyno pulls and made 457hp. So with that being said, those numbers are spot on according to Ford's specifications.
      You can run nitrous with a Cobra Jet Intake Manifold. -Landan

      It's still a Coyote, it's just a Coyote with mods. Same heads as well, just with CNC machined ports.
