- Just a quick, yet overly long, comparison of 6 lapdocks. I'm not sure anyone has shown them all in 1 video before.

Great post. Glad you addressed the palm rejection difference between the 360 pre-production unit and the Nexdock wireless. Glad they introduced that feature.
I'm wishing Nex had done a better job of mentioning they'd added the palm rejection. we spent a lot of time telling folks that there was none, not realizing it'd been updated. it's still not a stellar solution, but it really cleans up a lot of day to day issues

Cheers. I just go into these lapdocks after picking up a cheap 16" 2k monitor for my newly acquired Steam Deck. It worked fine but you needed a power bank for power, and a keyboard/ mouse. I did look at Nexdocks first but uPerfect has these frequent sales and I ended up picking up the Uperfect mini and the 15.6 4K one for a reasonable price. As you say, the mini is very plasticky but seems to do its job quite well. Palm rejection is poor but at least you can switch off the trackpad quickly and you can hook up a mouse to the OTG usb ports. The 4k one has a great screen but the keyboard attachment is a bit iffy. However when it works it's pretty good. Dex with 4k, you could pretty much just take this and your Samsung phone and do most laptop-y things including a bit of MS Office work.
Yup, I spent a big chunk of the last couple years working out of hotels and portable desks, and having a lapdock along has been a really game changer.
Seeing the Mini still hurts for all the wasted potential...
Timestamps for each would be awesome.
Very useful. Thx. It fascinates me on how quickly or slowly different people speak. I watched most of it at 1.5x normal speed as it was too painful at regular speed .lol.
The half keyboard one would be perfect if you fly a lot as it would fit the tray with the screen tilted back to see without the keyboard being too close, outside of that seems an odd choice, the mini I would buy straight away if it had usb-c power as its the perfect travel size
I always love the NexDock for having three USB-C port, but its limited availability makes me choose the UPERFECT despite only having two USB-C port for the X. However, UPERFECT is still ahead of Nex when it comes to detachable screen lapdock. Nex is still yet to make a direct rival to the UPERFECT X Pro 15.6.
I'm still praying for the keyboard attachment for the nexpad, but I'm not going to hold my breath. That being said, the keyboard on the UPERFECT X pro is hot garbage, and I'd rather not have that at all, and carry a full size bluetooth keyboard

Great video brother! I am looking for a portable display and or portable monitor with keyboard for my new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Dex.
Nexdock 360 (wired or wireless) are basically my go to devices. UPERFECT makes a ton of form factors, at wildly varying prices, so good deals can be had there too.
So many lapdocks ;) i was wondering which one you liked most and for what reason. Planning to buy one for RPi4 and Steamdeck usage

The NexDock 360 wired works with Pantera Pico PC Windows 11. Connected like Raspberry Pi. Haven't had any problems so far. Users were not supposed to update to Windows 11 yet, but I did anyway. So, no problems.
I'm too cheap to buy the wireless when I already have the 360 wired. Who knows what they will come up with next.
Using it with OnePlus 9 experimental desktop has one drawback. All icones on the phone are erased leaving an empty desktop on the phone. Happens every time no matter wich launcher I use. As long as I am in the launcher everything works fine.
Yeah, I'm not sure I'd spend the extra money to upgrade from a 360, to 360 wireless. But if I was lapdock-less, and in the market, the 360wireless for just $50 more is pretty compelling
@@boredathome8561 There is a few more drawbacks. It seems the keyboard is operated by bluetooth. That didn't work well in the first NexDock. No matter how I adjusted the bluetooth settings, it was very unprecise. The first version had camera and microphone. Haven't seen them since then. The good thing is both bluetooth and Miracast seems to be built-in in the newest version. The screen has improved a lot. I couldn't see a thing outdoors. Must be used in a dark room. The phone got between warm and hot using the external Miracast. So I really want to see what comes next.
@@jorgenquiding2334 well, you have the OPTION to use bluetooth for the keybaord/trackpad/touchscreen. you don't have to. you can just use it via USB-C if you prefer. but I mean, it's just standard bluetooth, it works just fine. I've had zero issues with the keyboard.
I'm not really sure what you're actually trying to say here. You are trying to compare to the original nexdock from 5 or 6 years ago?

14:09 Yes Very Bright. Too bad NexDock Touch did not provide controls to adjust screen settings. Also do you think theres a BT module of maybe the wireless version that i could latch on to the Touch ?

Do you know if these work fine with Linux or with other Android devices ?
Which one has the best build quality and screen?
Nexdock360, and UPERFECT X share probably 85% of parts, and would be my choice for the best built lapdock.
The Nexpad probably is the highest quality of all of them, but without a keyboard, battery, speakers, isn't the easiest answer
NexDock needs to make a NexPad 2 with battery this time. Speakers too would be nice.
I think the real intent of the nexpad is to be a secondary monitor, tbh. you're likely going to have better speakers on the laptop you've connected to it anyway. I still hope for the keyboard typecover, but I'm not going to hold my breath
Do you know by chance if the keyboard on the NexDock wireless can be used in bluetooth mode with the screen folded around to the back? Using it as a lap/desk bluetooth keyboard by itself? I have the NexDock 360 and once the screen is rotated around it disables the keyboard. Which makes sense that it does.

Could I ask, how is the Nexdock Wireless for photo editing in terms of touch screen accuracy and responsiveness - nothing crazy, just basic photo management, touch ups and tweaking (e.g. in the Samsung Gallery app)?
it's not too bad, but I'd really be wanting a stylus to be honest. I very rarely am without a bluetooth mouse, so I really don't attempt a lot of fine control via touch
Hello. What do you tink about the Zeuslap lapdocks?
They have a 15.6 inch option and it has more ports than the Nexdock. Perhaps someone could guide me to a trustworthy source where I can find more info on it because I cant find any sources on it

Zeuslap is just a generic, dropship company that puts their brand on other peoples products. wouldn't recommend
I want a firmware upgrade for my original 360. I have no palm rejection. Cost of early adoption I guess but hesitant to buy NexDock again ..
cost if being early adopter I guess. I talked to them about firmware upgrades, and it just isn't going to happen
Why can't one of these comp just clone the HP X3 Elite? Take the best 1080P screen available, best speakers, largest battery that will fit and make something that will push lapdocks mainstream?
its a tough sell, a 350+ dollar accessory... that being said, the new nexdock coming looks great
would that be the wireless 2 ?
