I'm waiting for updates to this wonderful emulator, is a shame how the other big guys (no$gba, desmume) are so unoptimized and don't give a good experience in 1080p, neither a good sound emulation, or even basics as hotkeys. And above all, I'm waiting to see progress in the DSi emulation, there are a BIG library of games that can't be played nowadays, except with a real DSi or maybe a 3DS.

I've been a bit too busy with personal matters to keep up with this channel over the last few months. I've really only had the time to make some videos for the RPCS3 channel and dip my toes into making patches/cheats for a handful of games on that emulator. I hope to get back to it soon, but I may approach the update videos a bit differently when I do.
nice video, just a thought though. can you make a series where you compare different emulators for the same systems and how they differ or how a new emulator for a system that already has a well established emulator, goes with a different approach. like ps2 with dobiestation, play and pcsx2 or ds with desmume and melonds or no$gba (never seen that being used though or maybe ps1 with epsxe and beetle psx. i don't want to start arguments between fans but this seems pretty interesting.
The only thing that sucks is when I want to use a recording program, the framedrops start to creep in. It's 2022 and this crap shouldn't even be an issue.
it's a great emulator but i had some problems with save states, sometimes, especially with the JIT enabled, save states can be corrupted, and loading them can cause a game to crash or behave weirdly, this happened to me in pokemon white and new super mario bros, if i'm able to find those saves i'll record some footage, but i just wanted to give out a fair warning since i don't know if this was just the specific build i was using or a consistent problem with savestates in this emulator
Yes. It's just as, if not more accurate, than DeSmuME and it runs far better on far weaker systems. Even if you have super powerful system it's still better if you care about higher resolution graphics, because you can get x8 the resolution of the original DS for example, and have the game still run fine. DeSmuME on the other hand, no matter how powerful you computer is, would lag is you tried to run it at x8 the resolution.
@@RegalPixelKing I've been using DeSmuME for years but the x8 resolution sounds really nice, like bumping up the resolution on PS1 games such as Ace Combat through emulation you get amazing graphic enhancement.
@@kev1nno The reason is because for whatever reason DeSmuME renders EVERYTHING via the CPU. RPCS3 and CEMU renders graphics via the GPU and everything else via the CPU. For that reason high resolution graphics are very costly on DeSmuME.

The DNS codes aren't working for some reason, I have tried every DNS code that their is to use but they just give me the error code 20110. The 2 DNS's match and everything but it's still not working. So if someone finds a solution please tell me, Because I want to trade/battle with a friend but the I can't due to the DNS not working :/.

i am trying to download melonds but everytime i try it downloads quickly and shows the internet explorer symbol when i pull it up in my files when i try to open it it shows me my downloads on internet explorer and i try to open it but it never works
dunno why the jit/dsi build run very bad on my pc for some reason while the stable run fine(but like 40fps on mario kart ds due to my laptop's processor)
if you alter the primary dns of both the emulator on your pc and console to the currently working unofficial wfc server, you should potentially be able to do that.

The emulator still doesn't have local multiplayer supported, although that's in the works. This is more so you can play with the "actual" online feature on some games.
Anyone having problems upscaling games? For example, I tried Dragon Quest 9 and it ran like a dream, upscaling and all, but Dragon Quest IV and Tales of Innocence don't upscale at all. Golden Sun DS upscales the overworld graphics but not the battles. Weird stuff.

Nice video. in my case i use Melonds to do self Musical in pkm Black to get Tiara props which is can not obtain without local connect. I using 0.9 build no winpcap, npcap install. With previous build i always fail with error connection prompt or freeze both of emu. Lately i check wifi thread on melonds, disable limit framerate and so it works like a charm, but having two issues one is cpu 100 usage, two is now they run and connected but the emus speed is too fast.

The only problem I have with that is that DS games looks washed out on the 3DS screen and yes before you ask my 3DS has an IPS upper screen.
@@jm8080ful there's a homebrew app that lets you change the scaling filter used. obviously won't look as sharp as on DS but you can make it better.

Flash card is mandatory to get the DS bios! It's not cheap as it was before, so good luck trying to get them.

@@RegalPixelKing It only does if you use the SoftRasterizer. The OpenGL options DeSmuME has use the GPU and are still slow.

melonDS is more accurate than DeSmuME and also runs way faster at high resolutions. It also has DSi emulation.
