@@sh22rk then my budgie laid 2 more eggs...but 2 of the eggs remained unhatched...while the other two hatched giving birth to two baby budgies...one them has blue and white feathers while the other has blue and yellow feathers...both r male

I'm really confused about their differences.

The other parakeet first it was coming in as pink/brown and now it has turned a milky blue. Can you tell me what that means. Frankly, I do not care what sex they are, I love them much. Please answer. i've had my parakeet, Millie, for 3 years and their cere shows zero signs of aging?! It's completely smooth and a light purple color (like a young male) and has no crusting and hasnt even turned blue???
My other two females, Link and Angel, have brown ceres so I know that they are females and are old
but what is Millie?? Is this normal? Can their cere's just stay the same color as when they were babies?

I had to come back to watch this because I recently added a 3rd parakeet and things were fine at first but now the original two I had seem to fight at least once a day wrestling in mid air all the way to the floor of the large flight cage. I noticed the new budgie (Hawk) cere had turned brown but it was bright deep blue before and turned back to that bright deep blue the next day and has been that color ever since. The 2nd budgie (Felix) has a lavender color cere and I am sure he is a male. I adopted him from the pet store. Jack, my original budgie rescued from the wild at my outdoor bird feeder, also has a deep bright blue cere. So then I spotted Hawk outside at my bird feeder much like I had with Jack. He even looks a bit like Jack so much so it is hard to tell them apart except for Jack has a long white tail feather while Hawk as a long black/really dark blue tail feather.
I did the whole separate cages close by introduction thing and for the first couple of weeks after moving Hawk to the big cage things seems find but then it all turned upside down. One source suggested that it could be that I have 3 birds now instead of an even number so one bird is left out. I have considered adopting another male from the pet store. The flight cage is plenty big enough for 4 birds. Jack seems possessive of the other wild caught bird (Hawk) that looks almost identical to him. Felix is now being harassed by Jack where previously they were close and friendly. It is Felix and Jack that are fighting with Jack being the instigator. I am not sure what to do. This is my first time having more than 2 parakeets at once time though I have had 2 at one time before.

Both of my two budgies currently have purple (or lavender) coloured ceres, one of them has visible whiteness around their nostrils. They are said to be a boy and a girl individually and both still have black eyes (one of them no longer has stripes) so I'm not entirely sure.

In your 1st budgie if you can see it's cere is purple mix a little bit pink than its definitely male if it's cere is light purple or blue and the more is white than its a female

My budgies cere is pink and I'm sure it's turning slightly purple but he is getting white rings around his nostrils. Now someone is telling me my male is actually a female
What if my budgies cere changes color? My budgie Kori sometimes has a plain white cere, but sometimes it looks like a young male's pink cere, currently Kori is about 5 months old.

I have 2 white budgies that are about a year old and had light pink cere all their lives and their cere have never turned dark, crusty or brown. Does this mean they're Males? Also their eyes are solid black and the white part of the eye 👁 👁 doesn't show, only black.

How can you tell if there color of the cere isn't fully developed

It should be obvious by its nose color
Males are usually blue

Someone has now made me question the sex of my budgie. I'm pretty sure he is a male. I've him 5 weeks and he's about 13 weeks old now. He has a pink cere but now when I look at it in some photos it looks white around his nostrils. So does that mean he is actually a she. He acts nothing like my previous budgies who were all females and he like to groom me and let's me stroke his face sometimes

My baby (less than 3 months i think) budgie's cere has a little white on the nostrils alot pink on the bottom of the cere, but all the colors are lightly mixed, is this a male or female im not sure 🤔 (also he or she is very vocal, he or she doesnt bite much and if he or she does its light to the touch and not agressive 🙂 also, he or she has lightly colored feet and not dark colored feet). I read somewhere that males have symmetrical spots beneath the beak, and female spots are more asymmetrical and scattered...What's your opinion in that matter? P.s. Your channel is great, the only channel I found with detailed information on budgies. I'm owner of two male budgies and thinkin about third one 😊 Best regards!
Thank you for your kind words, looking at my flock I can't see any difference between males and females on their patches or cheek spots, with that being said, the spots will differ from one budgie to another depending on their mutation

@Gabby :D one is white with grey on their stomack and their backs aren't covered entirly with their classic "waves". The other one is the same but in yellow. Instead of grey it has green.
