This was a great starter workout Joe. It felt really good to get the heart pumping and get that sweat. My wife has chronic kidney disease and will need a kidney in the future. I'm the same blood type as she is, but doctors won't test me because my BMI is too high. I'm hoping and praying this gets me to where I need to be and could help my wife. Thank you Joe.
Tony Gorga wow! I wish you the best! I have a good feeling that you can do this! Prayers to you and your Wife!!!!
hows it going? Still going? If so then best of luck ;)
Thank you guys. Down almost 10 pounds. I appreciate the Love!
Tony Congrats!!!! You are a great inspiration!
I almost cried Reading this... I have kidney disease too but my doctor says it's likely I'm going to need a kidney in the future and I know my husband would do what you're doing! You are amazing!
I lost 10 kilos from this workout... loved this workout as I’m always sweating at the end of each workout... now I have 20 more kilos to loose ... please encourage me ... UPDATE I have now lost 15 kilos in three months ... I’m buzzing .... from now on I will be updating my weight loss journey here
UPDATE I have now lost 30 kilos .. I’m buzzing 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
UPDATE I have now lost 35 kilos … I’m so close to my goal weight … to think that I wanted to lose 30 kilos to begin with ….
Goodgirl Ryeo how long did it take you doing this daily to lose 10kilos? Thanks
maria catherine Jimenez hi it took me two months ....
@@goodgirlryeo7639 how many calories did u eat as well ..
Ruth irwin I didn’t count calories but I ate a lot of veggies and fish ... I cut out sugar, bread, rice etc
@@goodgirlryeo7639 good for u thats prob better than counting calories...im trying to cut out those too .... but i need one treat per day lol
I'm doing these exercises for over two weeks. I added after the first week, 5 push ups at the end of each exercise. I have lost 5 kg (11 lb), I'm eating a lot of vegetables, legumes and meat. I'm not even hungry or tired. I feel more energy and hapiness. Thank you for your time Joe.
Please, can you explain me how you do it?
I don't understand the time intervals.
30' you do, but I couldn't understand when and how much you rest???
This is my favourite workout I've ever found. It's challenging (for me!) but not so hard that you give up and walk away. It's so much more 'beginner' than Joe's other beginner HIIT which is so so so much harder!
If you're a bit unfit or older, or both - this is so good and not too hard on the joints.
Hi Joe, am 58 years old, started 5 weeks ago with your low intensity workout for beginners. Am overweight and unfit and have really enjoyed it, so far lost 6 and half inches from my waist and several centimetres from my hips and bust. Now moved on to the high intensity one which is a bit more challenging but will get used to it. You are such an inspiration, thank you xx
How are you now?
I’m 61 and just starting to get fit. I’m eating healthily and try to do 10,000 steps a day but today it’s soo wet and muddy I opted for this workout instead. I nearly died but I enjoyed it so will definitely be back for more. Thank you 🙏
I don't remember WHEN I added this video to my HIIT workout playlist. But today I FINALLY tried it. I have a long way to go to doing it at your level of Fitness but I'm proud that I got up and did at least TRY and was able to finish this workout. 2nd workout of 2022 done.
Ive lost a total of 75 lbs over the last 18 months. I had a set back in November, when I caught pneumonia which sidelined my efforts. I gained back 10 lbs. I am finally feeling better, and found this channel since I haven't been to the gym much, as I am mom to two toddlers. Your workouts are fun and really get my heart rate up! I look forward to trying the more challenging HIIT's as I grow more comfortable. Thanks!!!
Took me 40 minutes to complete this workout. Heart beat keeps rising fast i guess due to lack of workout for a very long time since i entered an office job. Today was my first day and felt really great
I will post my results after 2 months of workout ( 2 sessions of this exercise pattern a week, with low calorie and carbs diet plan with high protien (120 gms) intake and no junk foods or fast foods)
took me 35 mins in my second try and 28 mins in my third session. Still sticking to no fast, junk food and carbonated drinks.
took me 25 mins to just do the 3/4 sets and completely drained. Only difference was attempting to do this exercise in the morning.
Took me 30 mins to complete the hiit. I was able to complete 3 sets without rest. Great improvement. Looking for ward to finish this entire workout without any intermediate breaks
Hey do you have any updates on your progress?
Hey did u lost any weight?
Absolute transformative moment finding your videos, Joe! At 37, with a house to do up, and a father of two children, I struggle to find time for exercise. Now I get up half an hour before everyone else and am going through your vids sequentially. I feel stronger and leaner already and can't wait to continue. Might even get my Uni bod back! Cheers mate and keep them coming!
I am 37 with (just) one maniac boy and run a small company. I have no time for anything. A year on Rob, how you getting on?!
2 yrs on ?
@@shister30 Still 100% the same. Gutted when a day arrives and I can't do a HIIT. 40 now 👍
@@wtluke sorry just saw this. 40 now and still going strong. Hope you've given it a bash 👍
@@geesonrob Good man, through the yrs I've failed to commit, I'm 44 now and in the danger zone cue ( top gun theme) 😂 I'm feeling pretty commited at the moment , but always do early on 👍🏼
This looks like a great hitt workout for a beginner especially if you are like myself edging on the far side of middle age and find the routines with pushups or too high impact on the joints unsuitable to do. Hope to see more routines taking your more elderly fans into account.
+
Karen Mathias, try watching a few of Joe's videos and then pick and mix the exercises that suit you best. I have a bad shoulder at the mo, so I can't do press ups or mountain climbers, so I substitute another exercise in. If you download the Seconds app you can make your own workouts, although I prefer to work with Joe, who wouldn't 😉
agreed :)
i used to do all your intermediate workouts before i had my kids and now i’m at your beginner level all over again because i lost so much muscle mass and strength after pregnancy over the years. thank you so much for this. looking forward to starting your tougher workouts real soon ❤ to anyone who’s struggling to get stronger, i’ve done it and so can you!
That wonderful feeling of progression when you go from having trouble with this to using it as warm-up for a tougher routine.
Those videos are the best. When the coach not only explains the exercise but also he does the whole workout at the same time.
Got two minutes in, think that's enough for this week
Starting here on the recommendation of a friend. Knee replacement last year and have never been able to make myself stick it out. Just finished my 3rd round of this workout (this week). Still hard, but easier than the first time. I'm determined to make this one stick. Not going back to where I was....too many years left and need to be around to watch my grandkids grow up. Thank you Joe
This is great Joe!!!! Found this through a story of a young lady who found you and lost half her weight. I myself am a retired US Vet with a left arm disability that renders useless to lift weights or do push ups, cannot lift or put weight on it!!! I have been looking for something other than just a treadmill (I can't stand) and this is wonderful, had me sweating raindrops. Please keep up the great work and thanks!!!!
That's awesome, so happy you found my channel and you enjoyed the workout 😊
I'm not american but just wanted to say thank very much for your service and hope you are doing well with your exercises in spite the arm disability
I'm glad I read these comments. I was absolutely KNACKERED. These comments made me feel better. A fantastic workout. I will be doing it every day, alongside an easier one as a warmup.
Just finished this work out for the 1st time & it was brilliant. Started my fitness & weight loss journey 17days ago & have been training 5days a week & I've completely changed my diet too. I'm doing a mixture of weightlifting, cardio & yoga. It's been going good but this was exactly what I needed.
Thank your for providing a beginner workout that can actually be done by beginners! It was so hard for me to find a video I could actually do. There are others called beginner that, while they may seem beginner to a fit trainer, just left me feeling deflated and like giving up. This is great!
I’m going to do this everyday.
DAY ONE: only got up the 1st round and felt like throwing up. I’m not fit.
Day two: after math not so bad, I think my body can adapt to thing quickly if I really try. I’m starting to lose balance at the stretching knee ones, where you slap your knee and stretch. I can’t keep my ground, hopefully I’ll be able to get to that. I’ve gotten half way through the video. I think if I really try maybe be able to get the whole video done. But for now, maybe for the rest of the day, I’m going to practice the first two rounds and try my best. My liver sore, I’m going for a shower.
And a nap.
Day tres: today was easier on the first two, when I ventured into the third one, gave up that the second last move. I still can’t do that last one.
Day three part b: did it again because I didn’t really try as much as day two and one. It’s 00:30 and I’m dead. But I did it! I pulled through and finished part three. JEEESSUS! I did not think in quarantine I would be working out! I tried something different I gave my all at the start then slowed down from there, at some points I did that exact speed as part one! The punches are easy, tense my arms, stretch the whole way and I’d get like one more than the guy in the video. OH a tip if you are going to do this and reading this comment, you don’t need to go at the same speed of the video! Do it at your own pace and try to speed up for every part.
Okay I might do part four, I’ve got nothing else to do.
DONE I DID IT! It was actually really easy, it only took me around a Minute ima kept practicing this workout then try the beginners one.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 keep going 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Started with the Beginner workout but failed badly so was glad to find this. Have been doing it 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks and already getting the benefit and able to do it in one go without extra rest. Will go back to trying the other beginner one in a week or so!
Thank you for posting this! I used this as my first HIIT workout ever. As a sedentary person I only managed up to 3 rounds and it has made my heart rate to up as expected. I'm excited to use this to become a more healthy person and include it with my once a week yoga class.
You are so awesome!!!!! I’m someone who never works out but I come to this video as a beginner start and its easy but it gets me sweating and I feel the pain but it’s great. I have used this video countless of times when I restart working out again and it’s so efficient. I love how positive you are too!!!! My favorite is that you are constantly making sure people are feeling good about themselves and you mention how you are sweating and how it’s hard for you even though you’ve done much harder workouts. So motivating and positive, thank you!!!!!!
my first hiit session in my whole 28 years of life! wow and i thought i was fairly fit but clearly this "beginner" session has pushed me hard and i am drip sweating!! thank you for these amazing sessions. i will stick to this for a few times until im more confident and move on to some of your other beginner hiit sessions. thank you!
Thank you for this video. Most beginner workouts are still too hard for me and I feel like a total failure afterwards, but this I could do and I feel great and motivated. The explanations were really helpful and motivating too. Thank you.
So I decided to do these 5 days a week for two weeks since I have not had a consistent workout plan in over a year and I needed somewhere to begin. Then move on to a more vigorous level. So far I have done this Saturday and Sunday. I took Monday off since my legs were killing me. And today is Tuesday and I just got done with it.
I have been able to do this without having to pause the video but the first two days were really hard and I was a little lightheaded. Today it was not so hard and I even used two three-pound dumbbells for the fourth exercise all 4 rounds.
I am trying to lose 50+ pounds and have been eating healthier since the beginning of the year.
Will post update to share results as frequently as possible.
how is it going?
I loved your comment!! I'm trying to lose weight, too, kind of 20kg and this is my first step too. Greetings from Paraguay!! If you want a friend, I'm here :)
How is it going dear ?? I’m trying to loose weight too
your brace to do this for nearly a week, my lags are killing, :)
Been running about 5km 3 times a week for past year, just tried the beginner workout and knackered after 2 rounds! Massive difference in intensity and hopefully benefits.
I had a serious operation last year and my recovery was slow. I’ve got to the point now where I walk 3 miles a day, but I need to get myself fitter and stronger. I tried to do the easiest workout on a HIIT app this morning and I could no where near complete it- but this is actually do-able!! Thanks joe 👍
me too i had appendicitis
Hi Joe, it's my 39th birthday today I'm 6ft and 18.5st and about to be a dad. I've just finished this workout and really enjoyed it. My aim is to be 14st a year on, wish me luck.
How's your progress going now? I'm 5.8ft and 17.5st i started this workout lastweek and really enjoying it. Was just wondering how you're getting on now?

I just started this too after watching Joe's show in C4. Im 5'6 and 12.5stones and need to lose 2 stone this by August for my brothers wedding. How are you getting on? Good luck with it!
The first time I did this workout, I was going to pass out by 10 minutes in, I was majorly struggling, however done it another 3/4 times and it's a day and nigh difference, I am so much stronger and getting to the end is much easier
5 years on and I still enjoy this HIIT workout, thanks The Body Coach 👍🏻
I watched this video and thought...piece of cake. Then I started to work out with him...by the 10min mark I was screaming obscenities!!! The dude kicked my ass!!!!!!!
Same!!

Hi Joe, I’m a 25 year old stroke survivor, I put on a lot of weight during my recovery and lost a lot of my confidence with it. Just trying to get myself back again starting with my health and fitness. Thank you for making achievable exercises for so many different fitness levels and time scales!
My first exercise session for a very very long time, perfect level, great for my dodgy knee too. I'm hot, puffed out and sweaty but could keep up. Thanks for this, feel confident that I can actually do it and reach my goals!
I just did my first real workout of my life and I'd like to thank you for putting the video together and helping enable my first step in getting fitter at 45 years old.
Thanks Joe - from another 50+ wanting to keep fit. Really appreciate you putting these up.
Hi Joe! I've been doing this workout faithfully for 5 months now, feeling great! Have found little ways to 'up the ante' as whenever I tried other videos- yours and others- there was too much impact for my 60+ body. But I love this one, and am having good results, AND- I love hearing your springboard at the end of the workout each time "and 'ave a lov'ly daiiii!"- wishing you many lovely days yourself!
Finally a hit training video that my special needs teenager can do. She really wants to get into better shape and seems like most of the work out videos are too complicated for her. Thank you for posting this great video.
Yup and really enjoying it- tried it out on my 14 year old daughter. Received it from a friend and we are passing it on. Easy to follow, short enough to keep attention long enough to make a difference.
I have been doing the absolute beginner workouts for two weeks now and really enjoying it and feel great 🙋♀️
Have you started noticing a difference physically yet? I have a 3 month old baby and am really unhappy with the weight I've gained and the state of my body so thinking of fitting these in when my baby sleeps x
This is the perfect start to HIIT work outs. I have tried so many and this one is the best so far. I look forward to progressing and getting better and fitter.
This was better than a class at the gym!!!

My first Joe Wicks workout. Great place to start. It’s a good workout. Will focus on this only for the next few week.
Great way to get back into exercising after being poisoned by fluoroquinolone antibiotics which affected all my joints, ligaments, tendons, muscle fascia, and so on. I look forward to improving my fitness, maybe even getting back to pre-poisoning level. I was 66 then, pushing 68 now. Thanks for these videos!

Have not worked out for years, tried this and feel like it a good start as I can’t do a lot of the other stuff. Totally doable fo me for the most part and what I can’t do I modify a bit. Subscribed immediately!

After putting ON too much fat over the past year I am taking action in 2021, today I did this work out, my very first HIIT workout, and my first proper work out for over 2 years! I loved it! Worked hard, built up a sweat, got aching muscles, but absolutely brilliant. And I was able to do it in my office! Thank you
Brilliant, was harder than I expected, I’ve got a long way to go! The exercise I thought would be the easiest (the knees up with the shoulder press) was the hardest, wrecked my arms and I felt it, and I thought my arms were strong 😅 will be carrying on with these, I’ve actually got your DVD but I find these TH-cam pens easier to use and more efficient as I can make a playlist of exactly what I want in any order, rather than stopping to do change menus etc.. and you can ofc do them anywhere, cheers Joe!
Been slowly losing weight by making the right food choices, and I have been doing it for 2 years, as a lifestyle change. I have to be honest I’m not a massive fan of workouts and I am really lazy when I get home from work In the evening. But I really want to tone up after the 2 Stone I have lost so far, not just to get more fit but also be yin due to be married in June. I have heard so many people talk about these HIIT workouts in the past and I would just roll my eyes and think it was another trend. But as the weather is crap and I don’t fancy going for a run in this wet weather I thought I will give a work out a go, so I searched for beginners work outs. I have to say it’s like Joe is in my living room he really speaks to me and boosts me, I did the workout and yea I was tired but by the time I was tired and ready to stop, I had done the whole workout! I’m really pleased with myself for actually finishing the workout, and I have saved this workout so I do it again and again until I’m ready for the next stage. The bonus was it was free my partner pays to go to the gym I got the workout done in my living room. I hope these workouts help to boost my weight loss ready for the big day in June! Thanks Joe!
I call it
The Quarantine Workout
GHOSTYMPA i like it🤣🤣
My dearest Joe wicks I do this workout every morning and I feel energised and ready for the day, thanks to this one I am in much better shape and not feeling poorly or aching in my knees, hip and back as much, will move onto the next level when I can get through the first round, until then I'm staying with this one, thankyou so much, you have made losing weight much more fun for me, oh yeah, fiancée has just started and doesn't get through 1 round but he watches your video and we do this together, I do all 4 rounds great workout and worth persisting with it
Hi Joe, tried your ultimate beginner HIT workout today. I thought it looked easy......Oh how wrong was I. Really enjoyed it and got a good sweat on. 😅
thank you! i started lifting free weights at 57yo and your beginner workouts are great for my rest days
You’re channel is just what I needed! Thank you for being such a great coach 😊.
Thank you Joe, ideal to do your sitting senior exercise as had a recent left knee replacement followed by op to decompress spine and now have torn root medial meniscus on ‘good’ leg (right). So vital to exercise when a walk outside is just painful on right knee. Used to swim regularly, yours is my replacement exercise along with 7 minute yoga for seniors. Oh, and I’m 73 years young.
Great work out for beginners, 20 minutes goes so fast, thanks for your time bodycoach xx
Starting doing this workout 4 times a week at 9 weeks postpartum. Gained a stone since having my baby, and really wanna lose that plus alot more. I've got this!
Day one; done the whole workout, no problems other than stopping for a few seconds on the last round as my legs were on fire but I pushed through! Feeling great.
this is my PE lesson now, thank you
What does PE stand for ?
physical education, like gym class basically

Thanks Joe. My first ever hiit session in a bid to regain my fitness. Absolutely knackered and know I'll ache tomorrow but seriously pumped to be exercising again. Thanks dude! :-)
Great work out for beginners, haven't done a hiit workout before but it really got me sweating. I'll definitely try to tackle this again along with some of your other workouts!
Hello Joe, I am the "other side " of 50, I tried this video for the first time today, and I am buzzing, I am so fixed on getting and staying fit for the rest of my life, I have put Day 1 in my diary for a new start to the new me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart xXx
Joe your videos are awesome! Have totally changed the way that I view fitness
Was looking for a hiit workout and this was the first one that came up! I do follow you on Instagram, but I’ve never had the motivation to get my butt in gear and start exercising! I’ve put on nearly 4 stone from having my daughter two years ago! I’ve had knee issues due to my weight, which in turn has affected my mental health (suffer with anxiety and depression). After this workout I feel tired, I’m sweating and I’m actually happy! My shoulders are burning! And I’ll feel it tomorrow! :) but thank you for making it easy to follow!
Hope you're still doing it, Ruth! Good luck! I'm struggling with the weight but Joe's videos are so inspiring.
This channel is so great!! Thanks so much!

Just started this Monday. I'm by no means the fittest person I know, but no way the unfittest, but this is testing. Thank you. All HIIT beginners I've seen are way too advanced. This is a great intro.
Really enjoyed this! So glad my friend introduced me to your books and videos, really changing my life 👍🏻💕
First time completing this HITT workout yesterday and boy did it feel good. I haven't been to the gym in over 2 years and with a 2 year old at home, this was perfect I worked hard and looking forward to completing this 2-3 times a week from now on, my muscles are in fire today.. No pain to gain!
Oh. My. Flip. I made it!
How does the 30 sec rest seem like a tenth of the 30 secs exercise?!
I’m coming back.
Thanks for including this. I recently stopped doing weights and started using your HIIT workouts since i received some shoulder and wrist injuries. I am aiming at doing this for 20 minutes a days at least 4 days a week. Hope i can get in some good shape as well as lose some weight. Cheers mate.
Thanks Joe. You help me a lot with your videos, gretings fron Argentina, bye man!!! Sorry my english only speaks spanish🤗🤗
Finally got through a full workout without taking prolonged rests. Can't wait for tomorrow's hiit
My most sincere "THANK YOU" Joe!
20 minutes flew by. After not going to the gym for over 4 months this was a great way to get back into fitness. Aim to do this at least twice more this week if not more. Thank you for sharing

Hey Joe, just what I was looking for. As someone who used to be superset but had a terrible illness a few years ago that took my health at the time, I'm looking to get fit and strong again. I really want to avoid the gym and don't want to spend $ on equipment (I've alredy got some bands and dumbbells), this workout will be my first 30 days. I'll look towards your other workouts to see if I can mix it puma bit in the first 30, and then look for more rigorous workouts for the 2nd 30 days. I'm striving for a 30-60-90 kick start. Thank you so much, Joe!
Hi joe! Just Started your beginners workout today! Great first session! Feeling pumped already and slightly hot.. even doing this from Cyprus. Trying to get nice and smart for summer ☀️ love your channel! 😀

After initially losing 6 stone about 5 years ago, i was really into my fitness, now 40 and have had quite a severe back injury,
i've gained a few extra pounds and i've been wanting to get back to fitness, this was perfect! Squats were a challenge for my back, but the rest was great! time to start the healthy eating too and get back on it!!! managed to work up quite a sweat, thanks Joe!
Awesome stuff, Ive been looking for excercises to do at home, im almost 90 kg so im trying to lose some weight, gonna start these tomorrow
Corvo Attano how it's going?
Did it help?
he's dead....
I'm aged 47 and besides weekly running done nothing for years. I just found out I've got really high blood pressure so need to lose some weight and take more exercise, just did this workout for first time and surprised myself with how uncoordinated I am but stuck with it and got a nice sweat on and deffo felt like I've worked, thanks for the content!
Hi Joe
As this workout above is for 'ultra beginners' (I can manage this) which exact routine would you recommend next for abs and core for ultra ultra beginners. Three babies (1 via section) later I don't have a core not sure if I ever had one but would love to/need to tone up! Help!
TIA
Hi Joe. Did this today for first time today and absolutely loved it. I already do 2kettlebell classes a week and walk my dogs approximately 3 miles most days. I still struggle to lose weight despite lowering my calorie intake. I can only assume my body needs a bit of a shake up! I’m 70 and consider myself quite fit. Losing weight and keeping it off has been the number one thing I’ve failed at all my adult life. On the plus side, I suppose that if I hadn’t kept trying to lose weight I’d be 20 stone instead of almost 12 - but at 5.3” - that’s still not good - so I don’t want to kid myself! I intend to do your HIIT workout at least 3 times a week on top of everything else and I’ll let you know what happens. Thanks again. 🤗
At last one I can do.
I’ve just completed your workout. Shattered now. Had to keep pausing it after round 2 but I did complete it. Didn’t want to rest too long as I wanted to keep my heart level up but I’m so proud of myself xx

Hi Joe
A bit late to the party but only discovered you this week!
I live in tiny hotel rooms most of the week but I managed your absolute beginners HIIT in a floor space of 6' by 2'6".
Feel delightedly knackered! Thanks for this video - can't wait for tomorrow when I get to do it again!
