You know Qui Gon and anakin are similar in almost every single way which is probably the reason why qui Gon would of been the best if not the perfect master for anakin (they're both unorthodox, both formed attachments, both extremely skilled, powerful and both had a reputation)

This is very emotional. We can imagine what happened. We can imagine why attachments can be a problem. This is another example why Qui-Gon would be perfect teacher. I think you mentioned her, lomger ago. May the Force be with you too. Have a great day too

Personally I don’t think he would’ve stayed with the Darkside Qui-Gon followed the will of the force. Almost achieving what would be the equivalent of real life Zen, allowing it to guide his actions I think he would’ve naturally fallen back into that state eventually before a long time had passed. Using the dark side I could see that becoming something like a Sith Lord? I doubt it

The Jedi are taught to be honest with themselves and with the force. When this rule conflicts with the rule to avoid attachment, a paradox is made, the hypocrisy of the Jedi becomes obvious, and the Darkside is born.
Only by embracing two views can the flaws of both be seen.

From what I have gathered about Qui-gon over the years , he seems to me to have been more willingly open to the Force than Dooku . That being said , I think that he could have become a far more powerful grey Jedi or Sith than even Dooku . Darth Tyrannus and , possibly , Darth Ifrit ? Ifrit is a term for an evil male genie ( djinn ) .

I have always wondered since watching your channel, why Qui-Gon Jinn's saber is green. Did he build it green as a youngling, or is the saber he weilds in what we see of him a different one? It seems by all account of his prowess with the blade being so great at such a young age it would make more sense for him to forge a blue-bladed saber. But on the counter to that he was also extremely gifted in the force. So i wonder if he built a blue saber first, and then when he had a deeper connection and understanding of the force as he grew older and wiser within the force, did he then make or acquire his green saber?🎉

There are two mistakes in the content, in Legends, all Jedi Padawans, in order to continue their progression on the order were all required to pass their trials to become Jedi Knights, it was the same for Jedi Guardians, Consulars and Sentinels, if a Youngling was not chosen to become a Padawan or a Padawan failed their trials and lived to tell the tale, there were usually sent to the Jedi Corps, which were organizations run by the Jedi Order to help planets and populations that needed help, or to map and explore unknows places and regions, there were the Jedi AgriCorps, focused in aiding planets with problems to have sustainable food sources or were in shortage of food due to natural disasters, the Jedi MedCorps, focused on taking heathcare where it is needed like on planets facing epidemics or in the aftermath of wars, there were the Jedi ExplorCorps, which mapped hyperspace routes, discover new planets and made first contact with isolated populations. In this way they could use their training to help the Republic and also have a gentle way into a civilian life, outside the confines of the order. If they don't want to be on the Jedi Corps, they could work for the Temple, and if they don't wanted that either, they would receive a sort of severance pack, with some money, and help to find a place to live and start their new life and a recommendation from the Order to any job they might want to apply.
Also in Legends, the Jedi were not against romantic relationships per se, before the last Sith Wars they simply didn't seem to mind much with many Jedi bloodlines spanning for millennia, but after the war against the Brotherhood of Darkness the Republic passed the Rusaan Reformations, which among other things took from the Jedi their membership on the Senate and forbade them to run for elective positions, and to compensate the loss of their seat on the senate and planetary affiliations, they were integrated on the Republic's Justice System, it also imposed them a number of limitations, like training people only from very young age, and required that any Jedi wanting to stablish a family to receive a special grant from the Jedi Council, because it was a recurrent theme that Jedi that started training older and/or had attachment to their families and loved ones, usually end up having their loved ones being target of their foes, and it usually ended up on them falling to the dark side and eventually finding their way to the Sith, the Jedi Council at the time agreed with this, and were very careful in granting authorization for its members to have families, but there were exceptions, the Halcyon family from Corellia had special authorization to form families, due to their very specific affinity to the Force, the male Cerean Jedi were usually granted the right to form polygamic families due to their male to female ratio slowly driving them to extinction, and any Jedi that could prove that they can love and keep a family without the kind of attachment that almost lead Qui-Gon to the Dark Side, could ask the Council authorization to marry and form family, but they had to prove first that they are able to love without being consumed by love, do it was something very rare, so most Jedi were forbidden to form such attachments until they proved that they could handle the loss of their loved ones without going to the Dark Side, which was the Lesson Yoda attempted to teach Anakin when he went on to talk to him about his dreams of losing Padmé.

Qui-Gon was a pretty neglectful and often dismissive Master to Obi-Wan, though. When he found 13 year old Obi-Wan enslaved in the Bandomeer deep sea mines, he only thought Obi-Wan worthy of being his Padawan after he offered to kill himself by detonating his slave collar, to clear a rock fall to save everyone. He callously abandoned Obi-Wan on Melida/Daan at 14 without his lightsaber, to fight as a child soldier in a vicious civil war and watch other children die. Then not being very forgiving when a war traumatised Obi-Wan begged to be let back in to the Jedi Order.
That's why I don't buy the popular belief that Qui-Gon would have been a better teacher for Anakin. His first Padawan fell to the darkside and he put Obi-Wan through a pretty traumatic childhood and treated him as the ultimate latch key kid. And burdened a newly knighted and grieving Obi-Wan with training Anakin, making him promise as he died.
Qui-Gon was a great Jedi, but he wasn't a great teacher, especially when his Padawans were young and needed his support. Part of the reason Obi-Wan is such a stickler for the Jedi Code is that it was the only way he could cope having a chaotic, maverick, free-wheeling hippy as a Master.

Difference is that Obi Wan was born into the order and had a low midichlorian count so had to work pretty extra hard then most and Xanatos while his midichlorian count was not low or high but more Middle ground he had connections to his elitist wealthy family before he became a Jedi much like Dooku did so because of that there was more arrogance now what makes Anakin work with Qui Gon well is that Qui Gon found Anakin interesting because of his ultra high potential in the force higher then Yodas own as well as his mechanical and technician acumen plus his desire to do good and free all slaves in the galaxy he reminded Qui Gon of himself when he was younger with the latter part as well as Shmi having good relations with Qui Gon Anakin unlike Obi Wan was not born into the order nor did he have a low counter nor was he born into a wealthy yet bratty family like Xanatos plus Anakin had a desire to do good for people in general namely his Mother, Qui Gon, Padme, And Kidster plus Qui Gon saw Anakins situation first hand and had more experience at that point in how not to screw up like he did with Xanatos and a little with Obi Wan yeah.

    • @brianwright327
      @brianwright327 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@matthewmann8969 Also Keep in mind that Qui-gon's hesitation to take Obi-Wan was a direct result of his assumed failing as a master to Xanatos. Simply put Xanatos gave Qui-Gon the experience he needed to ultimately be the best choice of Master for Obi-wan And his experience with Obi-wan gave him the experience to be the Master Anakin needed. His own personal experience with Tahl and a few more nuanced points are also relevant, that is the gist of his evolution as a master. The student learns from the master and the master from the student.

His first padawan was knighted, Xanatos was his second, and while he and Obi-Wan had a hard beginning he made Obi-Wan a good Jedi. Nowhere in Legends or Canon content does he 'run off' and do his own thing except for when the woman he loved died. And Obi-Wan brought him back directly because of his training. While Qui-Gon certainly beat to the rhythm of his own drum he did his duty and he got results. Yoda and the council set Xanatos up to a test that he could very likely fail because they questioned his suitability. They even had another padawan waiting in the wings for Qui-Gon. As to his mistakes, Qui-Gon's mistakes are what would have made him good for Anakin. He truly understood failure and didn't fear it. Deleted scenes in TPM even show how well Anakin responded to him. @@jupupable4101

Here's something everyone continues to overlook about Kenobi. He too loved a women, who was brutally slain in front of him. Something that Anakin was fully aware of. I'm sure both he and Kenobi even spoke of it, and it wasn't like Kenobi didn't know about Padme. Anakin, fell bc of Anakins lust for power, not bc of anything else. He lusted over the power to defeat death. That's something that is a part of Anakin, regardless of whomever his master was, he would've fallen. It was his ultimate destiny as balancing the force required the culling of lightside influence so that its constant Flux between the 2 halves, not just stuck in stagnation.

Quite honestly as much as Liam Nesson’s Character as Qu-Gon-Jin he was the very few characters I liked before the other movies and had rarity of no other as character from the movie and as a character from the comics from what I’ve gathered on information he’s one of a kind you can’t deny that he was with the force but wouldn’t always follow orders from the Jedi that where on console believe me just as much as Padawan, or an apprentice in training they need to follow orders and same as for Jedi that where supposed to stay at the temple and protect but now as for Qu-Gon-Jin he was not for following the orders because he maybe of been taught by Jedi over the years but he always fought with honor and respect and with his own morals that never clouded his judgment just look at wise yoda he would often say that his judgment would be clouded by seeing things that weren’t worth mentioning even though he saw seeing and sensing the dark side of force and disruption to the downfall to the republic but the thing is that even if he would say the words he would be in a position with the other Jedi where it would be 1 against the rest of them that’s not good for odds so you can tell why there was no such thing as good way for Jedi to discuss things without one saying there’s a disturbance in the force which can lead the other Jedi to believe him so that can happen. But again it can happen again he’s a great character for his development for as being strong with the force of the light side with his skills with the light saber and other skills he requires but otherwise totally vulnerable to issues of Republic.
Again this is the reason why l like Qu-Gon-Jin a lot more before he was killed off.

Which i aint even mad thats the best thing we have gotten out of disney star wars was mando and grogu. Then here with qui gon now… obi wan with duchess satine of mandalore. Obviously anakin and padme. The only one we dont know about is count dookus girlfriend but he was such a badass boss he probably had several ladies over the years. I know ki adi mundi isnt in the same lineage (clearly cause he sucks and is the worst jedi in the entire orders history by far or at least during the prequal trilogy era and the clone wars) but it was said in some stuff i read the ki adi mundi was allowed to have multiple gfs or wives for breeding purposes because his species was endangered he just wasnt attached to them or his kids at all so if you needed a reason to hate this dumb jedi “master” even more he was also a deadbeat dad in addition to a terrible decision maker and tactician. And he always assumed the worst of everyone like yoda and ahsoka and anakin and everyone. Ki adi mundis species was known for having two brains thats why the head is elongated but that dude didnt use either one what a waste of two brains and a complete waste of a jedi and an absolute garbage jedi master hes an embarrassment to the jedi order and star wars as a whole and never should have been on the council unless you need someone to blatantly mess up so you know what not to do. If you cant make up your mind as a council it would be wise to put the decision on ki adi mundi and whatver he says to do do the opposite i guess in that way hes useful.
