I did one of these fights once. It was awesome. Took me about an hour total. My vette wasn't engineered right for this kind of fight and I repeatedly had to retreat and reboot to reset my shields.
I'd say they're grade 5 efficient beams, one of them with regeneration sequence and the other perhaps oversized, but I can't be sure. If it was me I'd run overcharged thermal vent and then a cluster cap distributor
Mainly because cap ships run on the "base" game strengh weapons, while every single other NPC has been powercrept using engineers. In fact what is most threatening with the capital ships isn't their guns, its their fighter wing! because these capital ships always had a special fighter squadron that they deployed when they first emerge in the system. That's nice and all, these fighters used to be very weak but be present in large numbers, on top of being in a wing meaning they would only focus one target at a time. but then the ship launched fighters appeared, and since frontier apparently does not know what variants are, they simply changed the code of existing fighters to create the "new" ship launched fighters. Very nice, but obviously these new fighters were given vastly increased damage to compensate for the fact that even the mightiest of vessels could just afford to launch one... exept frontier forgot these. And obviously these waves of fighters focusing on a single guy would spell disaster to all but the most shieldtanked of ships. I remember back when i was still a vanilla pleb, running around with a vanilla shield tanked anaconda. It had been more than enough to shrugg almost all enemies in the game, tho being more than challenging when it came to dealing with the elite engineered vessels. However against these shitboys i lasted exactly 11 seconds. Nowadays they don't always show up, so its better, but the balance of combat is still thrown out the side. There is a gigantic diffrence between Elite, non engineered vessels and elite engineered ones, and don't even get me started on PVP
Really not the type of battle I hoped Elite Dangerous would have. I wish they'd have multiple capital shipswith tons of fighters flying, strafing, bombing, and dogfighting. In here we just fly near those things, sit on our ass, and hold fire until the module goes to 0%. Not fun at all.
@@chand911 Because the lame mechanics that existed back then are still here. Flying backwards and shooting is still the best strategy against AI and most pvp encounters. But flying backwards / backpedaling looks and is extremely ridiculous.
@@blanknblank1 Why? It's space, you can fly any direction you want and point wherever you want. That's how space works. Sounds like you'd be happier in a flight sim
@@aennaenn7468 Elite Dangerous is very much a sandbox space sim exploration game. For the most part you're in space and there is no large object exerting a pull on you. That's why you can freely fly in three dimensions. It's still lame that backpedaling and jousting are the major ways to fight in this game. Most of the time you quite literally go near a ship, hold fire until your WEP is drained and repeat over and over again. If Frontier Developments want Elite Dangerous to be a successful game, they need to work harder on game mechanics and gameplay. But it looks like you're content with reverse thrusting and minimal manuvering. To each their own lol
Yeah or if at least instead of staying relatively stationary .. it /tried/ in even the slightest way to roll to keep those heat exhausts out of your firing arc.. or to point the broadside weapons back at you
I like your weapon loadout. Personaly I run rapid fire pulse and 2 huge multicanons (so kinda the other way round) but I have a similar setup on my Anaconda. Its good fun!

Bugged? Has anyone got recent footage of "pirates" in ANYTHING LARGER THAN ANACONDA? (still too green btw)
I like the green HUD wish you could change it on PS4
OMG which is the capital ship?!?
Holding that amount of fire in the chest lol
Capitol ships warp in and wreck everything . Is the greatest sound in Elite
I did one of these fights once. It was awesome. Took me about an hour total. My vette wasn't engineered right for this kind of fight and I repeatedly had to retreat and reboot to reset my shields.
What were you using? Bi-weaves?
how tf pirates got a fcking farragut ??
Jack Sparrow and Will Turner managed in the first movie.
Who sold a blueprint and a nanoforge to them guy ?

Cool thing about the corvette, it’s just a scaled down Farragut. They have the same model, the corvette is just smaller.
Wait... so you gained NOTHING from this?? What the hell Fdev the reward should be something like 3 mil minimmun
3 mil arent worth the time uploading this video, anything under 30 is not worth doing
dont forget how much he would have gotten from bounties tho
Maybe since he was in spectator the thing didn't show on the HUD.
What kind of beam lasers are you using?
I think they are from engineers. But not 100% sure
I'd say they're grade 5 efficient beams, one of them with regeneration sequence and the other perhaps oversized, but I can't be sure.
If it was me I'd run overcharged thermal vent and then a cluster cap distributor
Wow, is the music actually from gameplay? It's amazing
all of it is from the game. No sounds or music has been added. Elite has an awesome sound team.
How do you get the green holo display? My fav color and I want it haha... seriously tho is there a way to get that still?
You can change to color of the display with EdProfiler by DrKaii, google it and thou shall find. you can only change it on pc though :)
MarcoPolo damn... I play on Xbox... oh well thanks for the info tho
1 capital class ship vs 5 cobras? BETTER SEND IN ANOTHER FARRAGUT
Zeppeli The second Farragut was actually controlled by pirates. In that case, the Feds should have sent 3 more Farraguts just as a precaution.
A PIRATE FARRAGUT FOK FOK FOK FOK! GO FETCH MY BROWN PANTS COMPUTER!!!
That looked kind of boring. I guess this is late game with top gear so he could just ignore the guns from the ship?
that and he used multiple shield batteries to recharge his shields
that and well Capital Ships are very lack luster. I've seen people "kill" them in Sidewinders
There is a gigantic diffrence between Elite, non engineered vessels and elite engineered ones, and don't even get me started on PVP
ya know engineerings gone to far when ya can 1v1 a cap ship withought moving
I like how he was browsing his sub-targets menu xD
UNLIMITED POWWWER!

Yoooooooooo!!! Note to self, call marcopolo when ya dun fucked up and got yaself outnumbered again
could i have the color hud numbers please?

I can't wait to get my Corvette
I'm almost there I'm at 91% post captain
holy shit, an entire month to get it to 91%
supporting the fedaration like a good man, o7 cmdr!
too bad he couldn't disable the drives so it couldn't flee and be recaptured

Who sailed blueprint and nanoforge to pirate ?
(This is a starsector reference)
How do pirates even get access to Farragut Class ships xD
find a few broken ones and sow em together thargoids left plenty

Well we looked pretty doing it?
Really not the type of battle I hoped Elite Dangerous would have. I wish they'd have multiple capital shipswith tons of fighters flying, strafing, bombing, and dogfighting. In here we just fly near those things, sit on our ass, and hold fire until the module goes to 0%. Not fun at all.
This game came out 5 years ago and you're complaining about it now?
@@chand911 Because the lame mechanics that existed back then are still here. Flying backwards and shooting is still the best strategy against AI and most pvp encounters. But flying backwards / backpedaling looks and is extremely ridiculous.
@@blanknblank1
Why?
Yeah or if at least instead of staying relatively stationary .. it /tried/ in even the slightest way to roll to keep those heat exhausts out of your firing arc.. or to point the broadside weapons back at you
wtf are those guns oh my god
Size 4 huge beam lasers, aka death star lasers...
Imagine he goes bug hunt with them
The pirate what Farragut????
I like your weapon loadout. Personaly I run rapid fire pulse and 2 huge multicanons (so kinda the other way round) but I have a similar setup on my Anaconda. Its good fun!
