Super good video. You really achieved to reduce the complexity of the several parts composing this game, it was instructing yet entertaining to watch. Game is beautiful
Great teach. Best how to play videos I've seen. Nice pace to follow and good light and sound. Like and subscribing. Played this game for the first time tonight with 3 players and really enjoyed it. Some raidcards were devastating, but I guess losing it all and rebuild it before game ends is part of the game. It is really mean ⚡👊⚡
Thank you kindly for the words! Yes there are a few cards that can be brutal! I mention it in the review a little but this is one game that will grow in strategies the more you play! Thanks for watching!
I just got mine yesterday and am so excited to play! The one complaint I've seen often if that the game can be very random at times. Are there any cards that you've removed to tighten it up?
It's quite odd but the "random" tends to balance out. The game has many "Wow that's powerful" moments but there are enough of them that there is plenty to go around. I would actually only suggest removing the one Extra! Extra! card and then playing a few times to see if any cards prove to be frustrating for your group. Thanks for watching!
I was super happy they kept true to the theme and designed a very solid game. Aside from the gameplay being unforgiving to bad play (think terra mystica here) its super enjoyable. Review will be live.... I think Saturday or sunday I don't have the calander handy but that sounds about right!
very thoughtful review 👍. I do have to push back a bit on the idea that stonemaier games having hand holding built in. I can only think of wingspan having a starting set of cards but that's even a response to fans saying the cards are too random to start. I certainly don't think it's a style they're going for. Points being close doesn't always mean hand holding. Dune imperium is highly interactive and brutal at times but I've never had a game where the scores don't end up being close.
Close scores doesn't mean hand holding ;) Stonemeier has a few games now where the game does a very good job guiding the players to the most logical thing to do. Wingspan you mentioned. Viticulture with its VP cards and Grande worker that breaks the basic rules of all worker placement games. Tapestry starting cards guide your starting couple rounds. Even Scythe has a very limited starting move set of possible moves. It's not meant as an insult, trust me. Some designers are known for certain designs. I would never recommend a Lacerta game to a new member of the hobby but I would definitely recommend a Stonemeier game because of the ease of access. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
I can definitely see stonemaier appealing to more the masses because of it's ease of access although I don't believe it's any more on rails than a lacerda. I'd argue that the starting card choice in wingspan is way more open ended than the start of games like CO2, gallerist, or Kanban but of course each decision in a lacerda is more interwoven. Thanks for your response, love the channel.
Hi, thank you for the video! Tell me pls, if we gonna use 3 news cards instead of 2, how much time a party will spend? For 4 players I can wrong but looks like 2 cards can be not enough to do all you want to do in this game) And sorry for my english :D
Your English is perfectly fine! Adding a news card doesn't "break the game" but it does slightly diffuse the design that forces you to make tough choices. Less possible moves means each choice has to matter, adding in more moves means each move doesn't have to be as maddeningly tough to choose from. Adding one card will make this game run about 1 hour per player, which for me isn't terrible since I enjoy the game but it is up to your group if that is okay. I would suggest going through the Extra Extra cards and pulling out a couple if you plan on playing this way. Some would be EXTREMELY game breaking to appear late game as a 3rd card (Market Crash would cause a table flip). I think it is the "CRASH, Market Crash Wall Street In Panic" card that would make someone table flip if it was a 3rd card...... Thanks for watching!
You might want to clarify ORDERS rather than ACTIONS. The Action Turn allows you to issue only one ORDER of the 15 available. Great video with a LOT to teach but only a few minor misuse of words (action/order; vehicle/car)
Still the absolute best 'how to play'-Video.
In this video you answered all my questions I had, after reading the rules!
Tank you so mich! 😁
Very enjoyable and educational... looking forward to your solo mode teach!
Sometime this weekend or early next week!

This looks pretty cool. I really haven’t seen any good gangster type board games.

Really great How to Play video. Felt like it was almost done in one take. Good grief you must have been thirsty!

Really good point, in a game with a strong set of definitions I should have taken the lexicon fully into account.
