Water pie is an actual thing: it's a Great Depression era thing when most ingredients were limited. You only needed a pie crust, water, sugar, butter, flour, and vanilla. It's siblings are the buttermilk pie, which uses buttermilk, lemon juice, and eggs; and chess pie, which uses cornmeal, vinegar, milk, and eggs.
That makes sense though, it looks like something you'd eat if you were extremely desperate for food
@@Marcelelias11 It actually doesn't taste bad, it's kinda bland but it was good enough for the time period and it became kinda a retro dessert families made from time to time, by grandparents especially. I prefer buttermilk pie myself. Edit:. The flavor is like buttery and sugary, kinda like a vanilla sugar cookie I guess? Texture wise it's kinda gelatinous and wobbly. If you do it right it should kinda have the same consistency of like rice pudding or a curd, it's like, not solid but not liquid either.

That first picture is actually called a depression pie, it was popular back in the time when pie fillings were a lot more difficult to get a hold on, so they made a water filling. Real disgusting after youve tried good pie for many years

Well technically there is such a thing as too much coffee. Actually if you drink major amounts of coffee every day your body would slowly begin to feel worse. It's one of the reasons western working people feel like shit a lot doing ordinary jobs.
