Honestly the spiders playing nursery ryhmes for the townsfolk is kind of cute. Like the spiders noticed the humans weren't sleeping well and got together to try and find a solution.
But it was not the soothing kind which tells me the spiders who live in houses with kids either didnt show up or nobody listened to them
i always liked the idea of spiders (or anything most people find terrifying, really) actually being sweet and caring and loving humans but they can't communicate so we don't realize it. something about things that incite a primal fear/feeling of danger actually being kind and loving just makes my day lol

In all fairness regarding the swan post: Swans are probably more feathery than most dinosaurs were. Because they need those feathers to fly.
Some paleoartists seem to overcopensate for the others, putting on feathers that probably wouldn't have developed until a few million years into powered flight or choosing to base their colouration on modern birds. Like, it makes no sense to colour a velociraptor after a hawk. The hawk has a white belly and a dark back because that colouration provides them with a measure of camouflage when flying (being bright from below to be harder to spot against a bright sky and being dark from above to be harder to spot against the dark ground). Dinosaurs, like a lot of modern day flightless birds, would probably sport a more consistent camouflage.

as someone from pittsburgh, the pittsburgh bathroom also often contains a shower so the steel mill and other industry workers could come home from work and go into the basement to shower and use the facilities without dirtying the family washroom with layers of soot and dust from the mills. I lived in a house with one and it was the best thing ever to come home after work and not have to worry about destroying the bathroom with filth and grease from work. 10/10 would recommend for current industry and tradesfolk who dont have showers in their locker rooms at their place of employment.

The Pittsburg potty is also in Dundalk, Maryland, just southeast of Baltimore. It’s really weird, the toilets were just at the bottom of the basement entrance stairs. I suspect they were in the basement with the utility sink so a man could get home from the steel mill, and go right into the basement to clean up before going into his clean house without getting slag dust everywhere. The houses with the Dundalk Flow were all built in the 1910s to 1930s, when the steel mill was making steel for the navy. It used to be a nice town
