These looks are tremendous. Super high-end. I'm curious why you clamp the muslin to the softbox instead of leaving a one-foot buffer between them. Wouldn't the extra distance further soften the light?
Thanks so much! Well in the one scenario I literally had no space to move the light back! We were also getting some serious spill and I didn't have any more flags haha. I think It should theoretically soften It though
Jon, do you set your camera to MF mode during interviews? I have the same set (FX6 and 35GM). And sometimes I have the impression that focus may stutter a bit. Anyway, if you use AF - what AF settings do you use during such interviews? :)
Nope! I use AF face only. The only times I have issue with that lens focusing is in extremely contrasty areas where a light source may be in frame. It works great otherwise and has been my bread and butter for interviews!
Bro this grading looks DOOOPE!
Great vid yet again Jon! Keep it up
A dedicated work space always makes a huge difference.
@@DavidMonostori no doubt!!
My new favorite channel! Great video! I learned so many things from this! Keep at it! Love to see a fellow NY videographer crushing it!

@@b-awake-media it was!
I think you got great shots!!! Clients don’t typically freak out over some of the stuff fellow videographers might notice. Great job, man!!
@@benarnoux I really appreciate it! You’re also totally right but that’s the fun of this. It’s a puzzle that always seems to get bigger
Love it! Keep em' coming.
Thank you!!
