I remember when I was a child Building the forgotten prisoner. and I have recently Built the model Gillotine and this model kits were a lot more cheaper Back in the seventys and for ig sample I paid fifty pounds for the model Gillotine witch is smaller than the 1/8 Gillotine model and there models are very good to construct and it takes a lot of time and patience to Build a construction kit and am Going to Build the forgotten prisoner some time in the late future
I got a few of the Aurora monster models in the 70's and they were $2 - $2.50. Now some of these reissues are going $80 - $100. Ah, the good old days.😏
I have one in the stash. I love the old kits like this one. The first kit that I bought and built as a kid was The Mummy. I also built Frankenstein and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Many of the others I missed like The Bride of Frankenstein. Hopefully the ones I missed will get reissued. Keep up the good work. ~ Thomas
Just bought The Creature last week.😃 I already have Kong, Dracula, The Bride and the Munsters Livingroom in my stash. Never had any of the others. Some are available, even in stores now, but NOT cheap.
@@plasticbuzzardmodelshop9715 I've got another 2 years til retirement but doing a lot more modelling is definitely part of the plan. My day job is the reason I can't put out more build videos than I'd like to.
Thanks. It was indeed a fun build. This was one of my kits I really looked forward to building for quite some time. Remind me to tell you the story of how I got my hands on the model next time we meet, hopefully soon.
I built this kit recently and noticed that if you switch the locations of the skull and the rat on the right it seems to be a better fit, like the snake is actually going after the rat. I think it was an error on the instructions.
I did notice that the 'slot' for that rat was a lot bigger than the stub under the rat so it's very possible the instructions got it wrong. The skull on the floor looks so much more realistic than the one on the figure. I can't figure out why they made them so different and then put the worse looking one on the main figure.
@@TI4438 I find that it really depends when you upload. It takes longer weekends when many youtubers upload. I try to do it off-peak times like weeknights and it does make it a bit faster.
No, I don't sell my models as I'm just having fun and put them on my shelves to enjoy. These days the shipping changes would make them very expensive and not worth selling anyhow. Sorry to hear you cannot paint yourself anymore but if having someone do some painting for you is what you want and you are anywhere near a hobby shop I would ask them about local builders willing to help out. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Nice Aurora figure, it came out awesome. Like your electronic idea.
Love monster models. Loads of fun and cool to display.
A Very nice build Dario, great work.

Thanks. I think you will enjoy seeing my next model. Not a monster .... stay tuned. 😉

@@dariosmodelbuilds The NOT cheap part is a problem for me. Retirement is great but it has it's drawbacks.

Cool build, looks like you had fun with it. Great idea removing the backing to the entrance and adding your own bars and lights.

Very cool! My dad been building these figure kits for a while, I don't have to guts to try one yet
Nicely done! I’ve been considering doing a video on kits like this one…you may have inspired me!

Well done. I'm itching to take a crack at something like this.
The HD version is still being 'processed' by TH-cam. LOL. Thanks!

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. More Aurora monsters coming in a few months.
