Taiwan is definitely more influenced by Japan because Taiwanese are polite like Japanese, Chinese are often rude and impolite. Taiwan and Japan often helps each other out, while China is always threatening Taiwan. Taiwan is always helping the world, but China is always creating chaos in the world. If you visit Taiwan and perhaps live here for a while you’ll know that it’s completely different from China and Taiwan is truly an independent country.

@God is great- America is great if Taiwan is part of China, then you tell me why the CCP cannot do anything to control Taiwan? The objective answer is that they cannot control Taiwan and there is no CCP or PLA presence on Taiwan. You can't deny that the critical elements of a provincial government within the People's Republic of China simply don't exist on Taiwan. Taiwan is independence and that's a fact, even if you wish very hard it weren't

    • @redcar9949
      @redcar9949 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@God is great- America is great they don't need to declare independence, they are already independent. It's simple logic. Other countries don't need to recognize Taiwan, because whether it's recognized or not doesn't change the fact that the PRC cannot control Taiwan directly. It can somewhat control it through diplomatic and military pressure, but if it passes a law concerning Taiwan it can do absolutely nothing. The people of Taiwan do not pay taxes to the government of the PRC and Taiwan has no representatives in the government of the PRC. China simply doesn't own Taiwan

We have our own governmental system, our national flag and passport, of course we are not part of China. However, people from China really like saying something untrue via Yutube, Facebook which they are not allowed to use in their country in order to brainwash other people who don’t have clear understanding about Taiwan. That’s why most Taiwanese hate Chinese people so much, it’s too ridiculous to be part of them, but as you know, in all aspects, China is almost the most powerful country in the world, they do not only control other developing and undeveloped countries by loaning them funds which those country could never pay back on time just to control the infrastructure of those countries, but also try to stop Taiwan from attending to some international platforms. Just one example, one month ago there’s a country located in South America passed the free visa policy for Taiwanese tourists, we are happy with that, however, when this news came to China, just one day, that country canceled the policy. So I guess it’s pretty reasonable why we hate China so much. And we will never consider ourselves as part of China.

No matter what you say, Taiwan is not part of China, we are not under Chinese Government’s control as everyone knows, we could travel around the world, do whatever we like, say whatever we want without China’s permission. I can even say something humiliating the president Tsai and whoever I want to on my land, would you dare to do the same thing in China? Do you dare to make bad comments on Xi? Just keep living in your own fantasy where the things will never happen.
BTW, look what you did to HongKong, I’m pity for my friends living in HongKong, and Taiwan will never be the second one.
We live in a society with liberty, and I’m grateful that I’m growing up in a place where freedom is more important than anything, where people like you could never experience unless you leave your country.

I was so sad bc I tried so hard to defend myself to defend for Taiwan that we are Taiwanese, Taiwan is a country, but then ppl just keep doing the same thing, which is saying that Taiwan belongs to China, it upsets me a lot. Maybe u guys would be surprised that how come a sixteen years old girl has that strong thoughts ab these kind of things, I don’t know either, I don’t know why I’m so sensitive about my identity(Taiwanese) but the only thing I know is I’m Taiwanese I’m from Taiwan no matter what the condition of Taiwan gonna be in the future. I have only and truly one identity which is Taiwanese! 🇹🇼

My parents for example would never approve due to their traditional and old school thinking. I hope they become more informed that it is nothing like what they heard. It is sad how many are so brainwashed by the media and other unreliable sources and believe everything they say. It is not just older people but my older brothers who are only in their late 40s are very bias, ignorant and close minded about many issues about the world not just the gay marriage issue. It is a big issue in the US too but the US is progressing and gay marriage is legalized in San Francisco already and soon other states and cities will legalize it too. Taiwan is not part of China nor part of any other country but itself. It used to be part of Japanese territory up until the end of WWII when Japan ceded the territory to the victorious Allies at the Peace Treaty of San Francisco. So legally speaking it is in the same legal standing as Guam, and Korea. As a reward for China's contribution to the Allies, Pres Truman invited the Chinese Nationalists to govern the territory without a de jure transfer of sovereignty. So Taiwan is a country of its own by the international law.

Totally wrong on no.9. The reason why China airline belongs to Taiwan is that the official name of the nation is Republic of China, which is different from the People's Republic of China(PRC), the china you usually know. And Taiwan is more progress and wealthy than (PRC) decades ago, so it registered the name “China Airlines” before company from PRC. That is the reason why there are many companies titled “ China” is coming from Taiwan.
And about Taiwan is part of the PRC, that it never happened. PRC was founded in 1949. However, Republic of China, Taiwan, was founded in 1911. And even before that, Taiwan used to rule by Japan, the qin dynasty, the kingdom of Tongning, and the Dutch Republic. There is no one day that PRC employs authority on the land of Taiwan. Moreover, the Taiwanese aboriginal people are more closed to aboriginal in New Zealand and island in the pacific.
Using the name of Republic of China is quite confused for people who don't know about Taiwan. Therefore, people in Taiwan right now prefer to be called Taiwanese rather than Chinese.

Taiwan is not a country, it is recognized as part of China, IT IS CALLED THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA and they have to go under the name "CHINESE TAIPEI" for olymics. Yet it is a sovereign state with their own political system. I know a lot of Taiwanese, including ppl from my school that try to be like " oh we are independent, screw you Chinese ppl" but still, even though Taiwan is pretty much independent but it is still recognized as a part of China no matter you like it or not. and no hate pls just stating the facts that I, as a TAIWANESE, have to admit. Apparently, most Taiwanese are covered with mindlessness and blinded by the mask that hides the truth...

P W P W Taïwan IS a country ! It’s not a part of the PRC aka mainland China. Since 1949 Taiwan is a independent country, the Taiwanese elect their presidents for their country. Mainland China has nothing to do with Taiwan . The only reason why Taiwan is not recognised by a lot of countries is because of the pressures from mainland China. Remember that Taiwan was recognised as China in the NU since the creation and until 1972. Mainland China required a choice for the countries, whether The Republic Of China (Taiwan) or People’s Republic of China (Mainland China). If you chose Taiwan, ROC will stop all the economic, politics supports and officials relation with the countries. That’s the truth.

*sigh* it is part of China it is part of 1 of the 2 Chinese states that claim to be the true Chinese government
the communist regime known as the peoples Republic of China or (PRC) is the larger more powerful dictatorship that most people call "China"
the 100 year old Republic of China (ROC) or better known as Taiwan still lives on the island of Taiwan to this day and is the governing figure over the island and sense 1975 has lived in a half life as most of the worlds nations including the U.S do not see the ROC as being the real China
but behind closed doors the ROC and the west still trades with each other and the west still sees any hostile action on the ROC as a ct of war as many western nations still see the Republic of China as the only weapon that can beat the communist regime to the ground
and that is a quick history of the situation between Taiwan and China

@@thedoctorairsoft6813 yes, you know it and I know it too; however to most others, China without elaboration simply means PRC, and this is confusing to most. We don't need anyone to be confused by it.

Sean Ryan U r right. Taiwan is not China. No one would say Canton is China. Taiwan is only part of China. Taiwan is part of China. Mainland and Taiwan are seperatedly governed by two governments as a result of China's civil war during 1945~1949. Taiwan is never a country. Taiwan is just a province of China, no matter you refer China to People's Republic of China or Republic of China. Never deny the history and never try to seperate Taiwan from China.
