I'm trying to find their website. I watch Snake Discovery because I love snakes but don't want to commit to all that care and space unless I actually own my home, but I love keeping tarantulas and insects. I don't live in Illinois, but her animals and enthusiasm really bowled me over.
I actually just realized I bought two tarantulas from her at the Philly Expo! I kept her card. I got a little A geniculata and a B cabocla. They're healthy and growing very nicely. I wish I had spent more time talking to her now, she was really friendly to me but I have agoraphobia so I was just trying to get stuff and run!
My daughter introduced me to your videos in a bid to convince me to get her a snake. It worked and our family Now has a lovely female western hognose that we are all obsessed with. So thank you for you’re informative videos, my 10 year old certainly appreciated the help!
Fizzy Potato I am a kid but my mom hated reptiles but I was a good kid and already owned multiple dogs and took good care of them then I watched a video about leaf geckos loved them asked mom for a Gecko agreed if I cleaned my room I could get a Leopard Gecko my mom loves her
You breed and buy responsibly, and are incredibly educational. That’s such a wonderful and unfortunately somewhat rare thing to find on TH-cam. Thank you SO much for the service you are providing!
Emily saying 'nothing' and running away with her reptiles is me when my mom finally finds me in the garden center at home depot with a cart full of new plant babies
She is great, so funny and informative. I'm not all that into bugs, but I'd definitely get one of those blue death feigning beetle setups from her, they're so cute
A year ago I didn’t even know reptile expos existed. Now...honestly I kinda want to go to Tinley one day! My favorite animal in this video was either the vinegaroon or that giant female ball python.
Pretty much me too.... sometimes I even sleep through the like 7 alarms I have set, 2 on the digital across the room and the rest on my phone next to my head.
Char Wright right?! I’m not really into invertebrates, I get the creeps with a lot of them (I don’t even really like the crickets I feed my frogs) but those little beetle were pretty cute
Haha, it’s ironic because the poor audio quality means that my partner and I can actually enjoy more of this video together. I know it’s not a deliberate or malicious thing, but none of the reptile youtubers that I’ve seen regularly caption their videos. My partner is deaf, and it’s very disheartening to see that most the info on TH-cam is basically blocked off from them being able to access and enjoy. Is it possible for you to add captions to your videos? I know a lot of past videos have the option for community captions, and that’s a really great way to get your backlog captioned, but I think you can tell from the fact that most of them remain uncaptioned that this isn’t something you can rely on. I know it’s extra work but imo it should be part of the process of creating a video just like editing is, and you were willing to do it here where the lack of them would also affect hearing individuals. I’m sure as an educator, you understand how important getting information out there to as many people as possible can be! I know my partner isn’t the only one who would benefit from this feature :) This isn’t mean to be a mean or call out type comment, like I said before I know people don’t mean this maliciously. I’m only commenting this because I love snakes, I love your videos, and I would love to be able to share what I love with the people I love
Why couldn't you do the community captions since obviously you are aware of the importance? Think not of what others can do for you, but what you can do for others. Don't put the guilt trip on obviously busy educators. Do your bit.
I'm at 28:18!!! It was amazing to meet you in person. I don't have a snake yet, but after I move out I'm thinking about a hognose. Thanks for reminding me of my childhood love of snakes. Because of you, I'm in my first year of college studying ecology and herpetology. Also, I went on Saturday, came home, and slept for two days straight! There was just so much, and I've felt so much more independent since. It was a huge confidence boost for many reasons, and it's made a huge difference in my life. Thanks for everything.
Do you know if they had western hognose snakes there? I can't find them anywhere in illinois and if they have them there I'm definitely going there next year
I loved the grey/black/white urban camo! My fave by far. I am partial to axanthic and anerythistic snakes so the urban camo was right up my alley. Your new viper boas are gorgeous as well. Loved the slide show. I have a small "bucket list" and meeting you is on there as is making it to Tinley.
The First Lady was like so sweet especially the way she loved all of the animals she had on offer it was just so cute how she was like “that’s because they’re AWESOME”

PPS - The animal that I liked best were the sand boas because I am so tempted to get one someday.
Oh my God I laughed so hard at 07:05 “draw me like one of your French girls”. It’s 3:27am here in the UK and my neighbours are probably thinking I am insane 😂 I love you and this channel so much! I used to be terrified of snakes but now I actually think they are beautiful and would consider having a smaller species! - (the big poisonous ones still scare me tbf) my only worry would be somehow it getting loose and my cat either being terrified or eating it, or trying to eat in and getting hurt! She’s our fur baby you see! P.s it is the sweetest thing that you put all those photos together with the fans at the end! You didn’t have to and it shows how much you care!
First of all. The first lady was absolutely hilarious, second of all I was looking for myself the whole video! I saw you guys but for some reason I didnt make the connection that you were snake discovery...i was beating myself up about it but maybe next time lol

i love how excited people are to talk bout their passions, especially the first woman you interviewed!! despite the mic issues, loved the video like always :D
I'm amazed by Emily's ability to look genuinely happy in every single photo; her smile reaches her eyes every time and you can just tell that she's not like, "ugh, _another_ picture?!" I guess it should come as no surprise since she works with children, doing her reptile shows where she can share her passion with others, but, surprising or not, I'm so glad she seems to enjoy her hobby so much and that sharing it with others, both on and off the internet, really brings her joy! I wish we could all be so lucky! 😊💚
That was so interesting about the sand boas! Mine has a stuck piece of shed that just won’t come off. I’ve tried everything and am just waiting for his next shed. If it doesn’t come off I’m going to try switching substrates.
My 11 year old reptile (and animal in general) loving daughter made me look up your channel. I love watching your videos and going back to the older ones :) You and Ed are so genuine and it is easy to see your passion, not only for the welfare of your animals, but teaching and bettering people's understanding of them. Just seeing the photos at the end of this videos shows how much you enjoy meeting and sharing with your followers. Thank you for being so inspiring to both kids and adults :)

Woman:B O O look it’s dead
Me: how could you kill it?
One second later
Oh its fine
I have to say that all your videos are great, but so far this is my favorite “tinley” video of all the youtubers I’ve seen!
IM SO HAPPY RN THAT YOU UPLOADED THISSSSSSSS I'M GOING CRAZYYYYYYY YAYAYAYAYAY
It's finally here!! I had such a horrible day today but you've made me feel a bit better, thank you.
I would have never gotten snakes if it weren’t for you and I’ve always wanted to go to a reptile expo
I found your videos about a year ago when I first watched your bull snake hatching videos. I wasn’t even interested in snakes, it just looked cool, and now I’m obsessed. I’m going to my first reptile expo this August and I’m hoping to get a ball python! Thanks for the awesome educational videos and congrats on 1mil!
Oh my gosh!!!!! Those urban camo ball pythons were so cool!
I love the beginning! Keep showing your enthusiasm, it’s wonderful! :D
0:09 when you found out you were 2 hrs late for school
I’ve been out of school for years and I still have nightmares that I’m late for class...
It was so nice to meet you guys! Thanks for not freaking out when I kind of ran/sped walk towards you to say hi and thanks for dealing with my stuttering. I was part of the group with the baby GHI Mojave ball python. My friend named him Scipio
I think I am early but I don’t know what to say so thank you Emily for making this amazing video
No apologies lovely Emily! The content is amazing, sound issues aside. I had SO much fun at Tinley! It was my first and (so far) only reptile show. I can’t wait until the next one!
