My mom was arrested on her own property this month in sandy oregon because our neighbor the rainbow trout farm thinks our gravel road is theirs. Ever since the father of that place passed away and the son took everything over we have been having issues with the rainbow trout farm. Well long story short on the 3rd of this months cops came out and sent my mom to the hospital for walking on our own gravel road. Cops assaulted and arrested over a private property line dispute. She spent the weekend in jail after she was released from the hospital. She had a concussion and black and blue marks all over her body

Two guys I went to school with became cops. One, intelligent and caring, and one, a disgusting little turd. The first quit after his first shooting during a domestic violence call. The second is now a watch commander after 35 yrs of violating the proples rights. 😒

Also the police deliberately ran their yellow tape to obstruct the crosswalk when posts could have been placed by the concrete barricades. At the stop sign, could have hung a poster board stating bus stop closed use x street location as a sign of "courtesy." But the conduct illustrates their priority is to harass the public.
It took three ppl to harass a teacher. They escalated the entire time. Jerks.
I work in retail and have countless times walked with customers and helped carry their groceries to the bus stop rather than just throw out a finger and say 'It's over there.'
They just want that free money without a hassle. 😂

No sympathy. If he had been waiting AT the bus station then, yes, I would be outraged.
The legal term for this is "de minimus", of the least. The point of blocking the road is to keep cars out, and there is no possible way he can do any damage or cause any trouble by standing on a sidewalk that is closed by whim and not any law. He's not bothering anyone, leave him alone.

Trespassing is trespassing. Still no sympathy. Could the city have explained that the south side of the street is where the bus could be picked up better, sure. Could the police have been more helpful, absolutely - but the courts already ruled that's not their job, and after he treated them to then ask the police treat him nicely is non-sensical.

If that was in fact a professor, he was at his place of employment, campus closed or not. He has access to his “office” any time, any hour. He is not trespassing. Are those officers going to run the gardener, the electrician, Dean of education off the campus because it is closed? This was sad and pathetic.
