With our Australian year abroad being cut short in 2020 due to you know what we decided we would fill out our long term dream to convert a bus to live and travel in.

A little tip: when grinding metal it's best to protect your windows. The little balls of molten metal ejected by the grinder will fuse into the glass.
Thanks so much for the tip-we really wish someone had told us this before as we've heard it a few times now and we can feel the little specs of metal on our glass windows :/ definitely a learning curve.
@@ourroaminghome8943 well, here's another tip, albeit an obvious one: if you're going to tackle something you haven't done before, research the hell out of it. It is far cheaper to learn from someone else's mistakes.
Other than that, you can tell you've put a lot of hard work in it already. I'm hoping to get one myself in the near future.

Hi Lorna-thanks so much, really glad you're enjoying the videos and thank you for your support! aha yes very true, I'd say we've had nearly 10 nearly losing a limb moments on the chassis balancing act aha, but hopefully not too many more now :)

Thank you very much! We did even more painting right underneath the chassis today, and even though it's a tough job we're aware it'll be almost impossible to get under there once the floor is down so we're putting in the hours now:)

looking good guys, a little bit of useless info for you , if you take your battery on your makita charger off and on quickly whilst its charging it will play a tune instead of beeping when charged , lol

Hi Dan, thank you! Yes you wold need to take a C1 test if it is over 3.5 tonnes and if you passed your test after 97 :)

Are you in another barn?
yes-we moved barns about 6 weeks ago :) its dry and secure and has much more space
How old are you two?
Too tail heavy my friends. I know, because i made a similar mistake.
