    I like to make a big batch of steel cut oats in the instant pot then freeze individual 1-cup servings. Makes for such a convenient breakfast!

    This was really helpful. I appreciate the strip of parchment between the waffles. I didn’t realize a strip was enough in between each one. Thanks.

      So glad to hear it! 🤗🤗 Yes, isn't that funny. I'm always trying to get away with conserving as much parchment paper as possible so was so happy to figure out you really don't need much to make sure they don't stick. Or as someone else mentioned here, you could freeze them all separately on a baking tray first, and then once they're frozen, stack them in a ziploc. Doing that will work as well, I just never have space for a full baking tray in my freezer! Lol!

    We also love freezing pancakes. I make a dbl batch, lay extra on parchment lined cookie sheet, freeze then put in baggie. Since were frozen separately easy to grab just one. I also freeze my rice. Make as usual and cool. Spread on parchment lined cookie sheet. Once frozen break apart and put in baggie. I use a rubber mallet to separate any clumps then pop in freezer. Easy to pour out what I need, cover & microwave. Comes out like just made. Happy prepping.

      Love this!! I never have space in my freezer for a baking sheet but that is a *great* way to do both pancakes & rice! (And veggies that otherwise like to clump too! Bananas, beets, etc. 😋) Great tip thank you for sharing! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

      @@LetsEatPlants me too no space for baking pan but i use the tray for my ice cube and use that. I freeze my sourdough bread too and i cut up my used parchment to put in between slices. I also reuse the plastic that comes from my mom’s store bought bread.

    Your classes are way too expensive for me 😔

    • @LetsEatPlants
      @LetsEatPlants  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do understand that cost can be a concern and the course is not for everyone. However, I aim to provide a high-quality course that offers great value. I've actually had students tell me that they've already saved more than the cost of the course just by implementing the strategies they've learned! Food waste and over-buying unnecessary items is also expensive, and I know that meal prep can help with both of those. 😊

    Hi Maddie. Do you have a video with everything you freeze for meal prep ? Thanks !

    • @LetsEatPlants
      @LetsEatPlants  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just this one so far! That’s a great video idea though. 😃😃 Usually I don’t do a separate freezer prep, I work it into my batch preps, but occasionally I’ll make specific freezer items like I did in this vid.

    • @dovaillancourt
      @dovaillancourt ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LetsEatPlants Do you have a list or PDF by any chance ?

    • @LetsEatPlants
      @LetsEatPlants  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dovaillancourt I don’t. 🥺🥺 I’ll work on one! Usually it’s just beans and then I rotate staples that are easy to reheat: waffles, pancakes, smoothies, chili, soup, curry, etc. This makes it easy for weekend breakfast or lazy weeknight dinners. I keep a lot of frozen veggies on-hand too (store bought) so that I can always make a veggie side in a pinch, or throw some into smoothies. Always freeze store bought bread (sliced) to make it last longer, and tofu as well. And lastly specialty items that I buy a lot of and then freeze. For example if organic ginger is cheap, I’ll buy a lot and shred it in the food processor and then make it into cubes to pop out. You can do the same with garlic. 😊
