We agree with this review. Viking has been great for us in our trips. We adapted the 500 bags to our 1100 but I bet this solution is better. They look amazing. We also have Viking handle bar bags and sissy bags as well. Great products!

quick question. do you have to drill the holes in the bag for fit? or do they come pre drilled. Great video btw.
Yes, you will need to drill the holes yourself to ensure installation.
Is there a best practice for positioning (like, should it be even with the fender, or the pillion)? My fear also is I'll screw up drilling the holes and getting the bags to line up uniformly.
A possible way to help you figure out how to best position your bags is to get a cardboard cut-out. Place a large piece of cardboard against one of the bags, trace the outline, and then cut out the outline. Place it against the sides of your bike and draw holes on the cardboard cut-out where you will need to drill. You may need to relocate your turn signals before installing the bags along the sides near the rear fender.
Will you still be able to use rear footpegs with these bags?
There should still be enough clearance to make use of the footpegs.
I have a Burley sissy bar on mine, and it goes in the same bolt holes as this will. Are the bolts long enough to accomodate this, or would I need additional bolts?
If you wish to install a sissy bar with these saddlebags, you will need longer mounting bolts than the ones we provide to ensure fitment along the sides of the rear fender.

Just now came back to this comment, just so I can give an answer. I put the saddlebags on my Rebel with no trouble. As it turns out, VikingBags sends you a LOT of bolts/screws/washers etc... so that no matter the bike, you will be ok, and sure enough, the long bolts they sent were the perfect size. The Burley bar acted as the perfect spacer!
