After riding Himalayan for 07 years and Scrambler for 3 months that too in city, highway and hills ride I have observed some points which may be issues for some or may be not, this will helpful to u guys before buying this beast.
This bike is class apart in its segment far ahead of Himalayan 450, i spent hours to pick the issues, because I really love this bike.

I 💯 percent agree with you on the headlight illumination part. The light throw is very weak and is not adequate even in city conditions
Aux lights are def needed if you are planning for highway touring.

Do you have lower back pain during long ride (if ridden more than 500km/day). I have scrambler 400x facing same issue.
No bro i have not having any issues even after having a long and tough ride of approx 600kms in a one day to chanshal pass, vlog is on my channel. Small suggestion start doing lower back exercises bro👍

I have travelled 550KM/day with Triump stock windshield.There was no back pain or fatigue as such .

@@gauthamsv7628 I believe cemented roads are the culprits for my backpain. These cemented roads are uneven where bike bounces at higher speeds.
I was so confused between Himalayan 450 and 400x,but frankly i was so inclined towards 400x,i took the test ride of 400x she really impressed me ,but I felt pain on my right elbow,not only me even the rider who took the test ride after me he too complained about the pain he felt,and we thought that might issue with the handle of test ride bike,so the next day i again went to Triumph Siliguri and this time i took my brother along with and i didn’t mention anything about the pain to him,I asked the dealership for the another test ride bike and my brother took the ride,as soon as he returned his first complain was the similar pain which I experienced,that was a heart break for me so went to RE and booked Himalayan 450 though didn’t got the delivery till date,I found people sharing their similar pain experience on the TH-cam comment section,but why no body is highlighting that issue still confused, I am in love with this 400X
Bro frankly speaking mild hand pains i also faced in initial rides because that much of wide handle bar os not common in indian market, but after riding 1k kms i became ised to it and no pain after that. Just a suggestion this bike is far ahead of Himalayan 450 in each and every parameter for touring just better windblast protection is having edge on Himalayan that it.

even i noticed strain on my shoulder when i tested with pillion but i saw video of bigbear youtuber who mentioned about posture for bikes with wider handler bar. your elbow should be out a bit than regular bike
@PiyushPatel10 bro that because the riding posture is different which u are riding currently, u will get used to it in future it has widest handle bar in this segment.

I also own one and has done 2k kms. Sorry I cannot agree with the cruising at 120 as you mentioned. The engine feels stressed post 100 and heavily stressed post 115

Get latest ECU updated bro, also from where u belongs because hot weather makes it more hot, i belongs to delhi so, due to winters i m not facing such issue as of now.
All valid points Kaushik. The one that really pinches me the most is the smaller fuel tank. I hope at some stage there is an option to get a bigger one.
Yeah bro, 15ltrs hota to maza he ajata, however I have ridden it on two long rides till date and having 300kms plus range just before reserve starts is decent enough where fuel pumps are available easily.

@@Kaushik_Pravesh I did Chakrata and Rohru not long after you went to Chanshal. The bike was very new and the mileage was low. I think from memory, the low fuel light came in at around 180 kms. I wasn't happy. And to top it off, there wasnt a pump at Chakrata. So it made me a bit anxious. I'm planning spiti in Sept. While I know there are pumps on the way, i am worried about the spiti to manali section. Might carry a soft petrol bag just for peace of mind.

@@Kaushik_Pravesh Yep... I didn't actually get to Chanshal. It was my fifth day on the road when I reached Rohru. Ran out of time and has to head back. My bike only had 80 kms on the odo when I started my trip.
Do have a few short videos of my ride on my channel (if you care). Not vlogs...just pure riding.
What are your views on Himalayan 450? Is it worth buying ? If not then which is the good option?
Between Himalayan & scrambler u can watch my comparison video for brief clarification, another option is KTM390 Adv is available. It all depends what kind of riding u wana do, more off road then Himalayan, high speed ride then 390 and u wana do everything thoda thoda then scrambler is the best fit wid best built quality and features in its price segment.

Functionality takes precedence for me over looks. I have removed the OEM windscreen and installed the tall windscreen from CarbonRacing along with an extender. Now I feel much calm during highway touring as wind blast goes over my helmet.

And i ve just clocked 550kms on my bike. My scram x is giving mileage of only 15kmpl in city traffic 😢😢. I am worried whther it will chnge after 1st service or not. I managed to get only 160km frm 10 ltr of fuel.
Satya bro, u can take reference from mileage test vlog of mine to check exactly ur real mileage, also try to ride and check on highway, don’t take beyond 6k rpm, i hope u will get gud mileage👍

I suggest u better compare this thing in the triumph service center with another Scram.

It all depends on ur riding style bro, if u want to have HD name in ur garage, likes cruisers then u can go for it, otherwise Scrambler 400x is far far better then 440x in terms of build quality, ride quality, features, all terrain accessibility and slightly lighter on pocket as well.

I own one but cruising at 120 is a pain in the ass on this bike. The bike is butter smooth till 90 and i dont wanna push it above 110 as the engine feels stressed. Best cruising between 90 and 100. No other negatives on this bike according to me
See bro, what i feel this bike is runs sweetly upto 6k rpm and i ride on that point on open roads, rest lower the rpm makes this bikes even more smoother agreed on that👍

Spare parts are also not available always. We need to wait for at least 10 days after ordering any part.
Thats a temporary issue bro as the bike sales are started, however what i feel 400’s spares will be available easily in near future as these will be the highest selling products of Triumph.

Hi Pravesh - I've bought the Scrambler in December inspired by your videos. Yes you have rightly highlighted the negative points. But you've missed one major which can cause injury ( other points only cause discomfort) as I experienced today re Engine Stalling at low speed/RPM . The bike fell as I was trying to manoeuvre in a narrow space in a crowded market on a downward slope Did you not experience engine stalling at all ?? I continue to have this problem despite the software update & a number of people all over India have reported it. Please do cover this problem in one of your future videos - I'm sure you'll find many of your subscribers who have faced a similar problem. Triumph has not yet found a permanent solution to this problem after all these months which is a pity as overall the Scrambler is such a good product. Your videos are very informative.Keep up the good work
Atul mere bhai, even i have not noticed at the tym of editing and even after watching my vlog several tyms, if u watch my this vlog again i jumped directly on 3rd point after explaining the 1st point of wind blast, after reading ur comment i again checked my vlog and observed this and checked the list also ki yaar stalling issue to likha bhi tha or explain bhi kiya tha par video me kyun nai h, its a error from my side bro, i will surely share this in my nxt vlog and explain it properly.

@@Kaushik_Pravesh I don't know what is wrong with bike makers. They do not give good light, good wide mirrors, center stand, they will give saree gaurd but no leg rest!

Center stand na hona ye scram ka problem nahi hai 400 cc segment me koi bhi model ho jaise Dominar, ktm 390 inko bhi center stand nahi ata. Mai 5 sal se Dominar ko moto jack use kar raha hu.
Yeah that’s not even a problem for me bro, but i have to include all the issues which may or may not relatable for others, even i also using the Motojack, small peace of engineering saves lots of efforts👍

I have bought my scrambler on January third here in mumbai..and from 1st day i am facing different kinda issues stalling...which is not sorted till now even after oem update...milage is also very bad after 1st service..hardly getting 20km..and now my bike is at service center from 2 days for the same issues...after ever two days i am visiting sercvice center for different issues..they replaced my horn...mirrors seat is also in transit..might be after sometime they gonna replace my bike 🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yeah I can modify the seat aftermarket to decrease the seat height as there is no option available at Triumph, I'm fine with the stock seats height bro👍

It’s heartening to see more and more newcomers taking up riding due to a wider choice of bikes available in India, specially the global options. More power to you sir and wish you many many years of happy riding. Just want to share that wind blasts specially if not from crosswinds or larger vehicles are a part and parcel of riding naked bikes and not a feature or shortcoming of a particular bike. One will either end up loving it or switch to cars at some point in time. Second, stronger headlights are not a required feature of bikes even in bikes costing 10x the price of this baby - that’s a problem with Indian road infrastructure- poorly lit roads - and with people adding stronger headlights to their vehicles (which btw is an illegal mod in most countries) makes riding or driving hell at night for everyone. Lastly, scramblers are not meant to be true off-roaders and the suspension travel in Triumph is just fine. Some scrambler manufacturers even specify a percent of road usage vs dirt biking of their scramblers in their owner manuals and it’s typically not more than 80:20. Any longer suspension travel will result in poorer road dynamics of the bike on tarmac.

Bro u can experience the difference once u ride both (wid and widout windscreen) bikes for 30-40kms on speed of 110 or above or u can ask some other riders. M not enforcing anything on anyone here its totally freewil to agree or not to agree wid my points, m sharing my riding experience wid this bike. To watch or not to watch video is also everyones choice here bro👍

Bro obviously i can give my opinions, however which are based on my observations and 10yrs of motorcycling experience. I not enforcing anything, but just shared some information. No intensions to hurt anyone who is the owner of this bike or not.
