    This video really helped me. ❤️ Calmed and relaxed that it is hard time to time but with routines and calmness we will get there. 😊

    Thanks Sophie, really helpful. Good to know that I can still feed my baby just before she goes down and that she doesn't have to be fully awake either x

    My daughter is 7 months 3 weeks, and last night she woke up over and over and over again. She was kicking and punching me. It was horrible. She got her 2 naps during the day, although maybe they were a littler short. She sleeps in bed with me. I usually nurse her to sleep. I will try some of your tips here. Thank you! We do have a consistent bedtime routine, but maybe she was overtired last night. I just can't have another night like last night...

      You may be right. You're also right on the cusp of the 8 month regression, which is often timed with a big leap in physical development - often leading to babies being awake as they practise new ways of moving. Could be the case here? Sorry that you had such a bad night and hoping it's better tonight for you!

    • @sarahtara5546
      @sarahtara5546 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SophiePickles hmm okay, that could be a possibility. I haven't heard about this 8 month leap. Thank you for responding and so quickly! This is my first, and so far I have figured out that when she has a "bad" night, it is usually some type of phase she has to get through. You are spot on when you mention that we just need patience too lol

      I’m going through the same 8 month sleep regression now also cosleeping and feeding to sleep. Recipe for disaster lol. But sleep training doesn’t seem right idk.. having them sleep in their own room from 6 months on is better but even then you have to make sure they’re sleeping in their own bed at least first! Idk how to break this cycle now it’s so far gone 😢

    Do you put on white noise for nighttime? I’m putting it on every night since he was newborn as he suffered with colic but I’m just wondering if it’s normal and if I should get rid of it?

    Such a great video with so many useful tips. How do you know if baby genuinely still needs milk in the night or is only using breastfeeding to get back to sleep? My baby wakes up 3-6 times and won’t go back to sleep without feeding but he’s only just over 5 months so don’t want to force him to sleep through if he’s not ready and still needs milk and/or comfort :)

    • @SophiePickles
      @SophiePickles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At 5 months you would expect a baby to still need feeding through the night and it definitely sounds like he still needs it. The biggest signs would be pushing the milk away or not drinking hardly anything. Some babies will continue to need feeding through the night until around 18-24 months, although many stop waking for food around the 9 month mark x

      Thanks! That’s very reassuring to know as I was reading on a popular baby advice site that once babies reach 11 pounds they don’t need night feeds anymore! No way that’s going to happen here haha :)

    I have a 7 month old baby girl, and oh gosh she’s waking up 4-5 times… she wants to drink milk. She actually drinks quiet a lot. I just want her to sleep more through the night. I feel she had a sleep regression. She used to wake up max 3 times.

    I dont understand why everyone says "make sure your baby has a big feeding" because I cant make my baby eat more??

    • @moldyvoldy1231
      @moldyvoldy1231 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't think they necessarily mean feed them more, just that they eat what would be a regular feed for them so that their tummies are full and they don't wake so soon.

    Can we change the bedtime routine later? Like right now Bathtime is a part of bedtime routine but there might be some days we cannot do that.

    • @SophiePickles
      @SophiePickles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally! Whatever works for you. Just once you've changed it, try to stick to the new routine to maintain consistency 😊

      You shouldn’t be bathing it everyday anyway. That’s ridiculous

    Hi, what if they cry again as you put back down after burp or say I love you?

    • @SophiePickles
      @SophiePickles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't give a specific answer without knowing a lot more details (there could be a of reasons for the crying). I wouldn't leave them to cry though and would pick them up x
