great video man. I wasn't born back then, but things looked much more entertaining and exciting than today. You had no internet or smart phones, and family gathered to watch tv and enjoy. I think you had far better back then. Films weren't spoiled like they are now by internet and dumb arses on you tube.
I did have Astro Wars from Grandstand and also Snoopy tennis with that Game &Watch from Nintendo. You wish that you kept this stuff prisistene back in the day, considering its worth a bloody mint. Did you have MBs Connect 4 Gareth?
Brilliant memories of the best days of my life.. In 85 I was lucky enough to get a Tamiya radio control car.. the type you had to build before you could run it.. fantastic times!!!!!!
Wonderful video! So many great memories of that era, thank you! Always wonderful getting one of those selection box/stockings of chocolate bars (the only time in the year we'd get to eat all those!). Also 1985 was the year we got our first VHS recorder, and I remember taping things from this Christmas, with our Scotch Tape (labelled Tape no.1) being Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory and The Fog (which was broadcast at Christmas on BBC1!). Still kept hold of that same tape now! Like you, I coveted so many of these toys, was lucky to get some, but others remained out of reach, including Mr. Frosty and Soda Stream!
I was nine year old and I somehow remember almost all of these clips like they were burned into my synapses and since forgotten, but now resurrected like media zombies. Insane nostalgia I didn’t even know I had 😂
I had several of these including the Tomytronic and Speak and Spell. Never had a Mr. Frosty, though 😞
Lucky git

There's a Woolworths ad with the same music, where a 16 year old girl wants a Stooges album for Christmas ; Gal had bad ass taste.
