Sorry I have been away for a while, but I've actually run out of vintage 90s VHS tapes, so hopefully this will tide you over for a while. I find it hard to watch these too because I remember these commercials like it was yesterday even though it was 35 years ago and you're right, Christmas just isn't the same and I wish it was the way it was back then.

Funny how that works, I discovered these vids back in November, been binge watching these oldies, I’m 41 and it changed my holiday season, it’s been the best since I was a kid❤️

Right now it's 2020. CoVid19 or whatever it's called is attacking the globe. I am a high risk, heart disease and lung disease. So I am home quarrantined. Hoping and PRAYING I stay healthy. So I say THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO. It reminded me of how special life was back then. How much simpler life was. It was special and wonderful. Thank you.

Nowadays I pay subscriptions to avoid commercials and here I am watching an hour of them....lol
These commercials are a little slice of life, stories of goodness, cheer, generosity, and hope albeit commercial. Is today there even a hope of peace toward humankind during Covid when some people won't observe the least minimum of public health precautions?
Time does these things perhaps it's as if we are finally smelling the rose's that past realizing we embrace the rose's in moment along with fondness of yesteryear's 😊

I think the companies are usually focused on attracting the younger generation.
"Homely" doesn’t mean what you think it means. It’s sad that people are too stupid to understand their own language. Since I know looking up words is hard for morons, let me explain that "homely" means plain or unattractive. Maybe wait until you’ve finished fourth grade before trying to write anything, sweetie.

I remember half of those cristmas commercials like the poler bear drinking coke the hershey kisses we wish you a merry Christmas the m&ms with 🎅 the Coca-Cola truck with the lights and the snowman that melted when he ate soup the other commercials look really old

I remember the Sears catalog in December, when I was little!my wish book!!
Yes!!!! Hours and hours were spent pouring over that Sears catalog! I would fold the corners of the pages where I saw things I wanted. I remember one year I actually got the little oven and cake mixes (not easy bake, but similar). That was the most amazing thing to me. I baked so many mini cakes!
Yea I got one of those niko r/c Lobo 2 cars and one of the Lobo trucks...
I would circle everything i wanted and give it to my parents. I dreamt of getting everything on Christmas morning.

OMG, I just saw the Hess truck with Space Shuttle, so I went on EBay and found it and bought it for my nephew for Christmas this year
While I am grateful for my life now, my wish for Christmas would be to have one just like I had in the 60s&70s!! Simpler times. So many memories!

Oh my goodness this brings back so much memory when I was a young kid / teenager like seriously. I used to enjoy and love watching these commercials during the holiday seasons. I miss watching them they used to play them like crazy at one time during the holiday season & now they don't what a shame. Old-time classical Christmas commercials how much I miss watching these. Big time I wish they would still play them. Especially during the holiday season but you know that's never going to happen.
And now the world is full of pussies, offended people and toxic feminists.

I'd forgotten about Pillsbury, it used to be real treat of a school holiday activity. (My mum only got the ones that would have been too difficult to make from scratch like croissants, cakes and biscuits were baked properly).

August 2020. I’m sitting in a hot car watching Christmas commercials from the 80’s, waiting on my wife to get out of an outpatient surgery. I can’t go inside and wait because of the COVID. When will it all end?

It's kinda sad how a company like Sears in these commercials back in the day was as big as Walmart and EVERYONE shopped there, yet nowadays there closing stores left and right and are bout to close up for good due to bankruptcy. I worked for sears for a few years back and you can tell it has changed a great deal, how sad some superstores don't last or want to change with the times.

There was a wonderful commercial in the late 70's or early 80's. The premise was a widow lady had no family and couldn't put up her decorations, so her neighbors surprised her and decorated her house. I think it was a Folgers or Maxwell House commercial. Do you remember it and can you post it here?

I love these! I only have one minor suggestion. Next time, please make the volumes of each commercial closer to each other.
I remember having a lot of the poler bear and Santa Claus cokes every christmas as a kid and I also remember the pillsbury christmas tree reindeer snowman and elf cookies along with making lots of different kind of cookies every christmas eve day for our Christmas party on cristmas and night after church I would wacth a Charlie Brown Christmas frosty the snowman santa Claus is coming to town rudolph the red nosed reindeer the little drummer boy a Christmas story when I was a kid even though they are old movies I also uesd to watch the poler express the muppets Christmas carol mickeys cristmas carol home alone 1 2 3 and 4 Santa Claus 1 2 and 3 how the grinch stole christmas elf mickeys once apon christmas and a christmas Carol when I was in middle school every christmas thats how christmas was when I was a kid

I love the Atari 2600 commercial because they ruined the Christmas of many kids in 1983 with their rushed ET game.
