I was 9y and I remember clearly the Batman-frenzy during 1989 in Italy too.

@@VideoTasties absolutely; during the summer of 1989 the Batman logo was everywhere in Italy, same for the Prince's score.
Stories about the hype only scratch the surface, the ads, the billboards, the merch; for about 2 months, there was a bat symbol within your field of view just about everywhere. One of my classmates even got the symbol cut into his fade. Then when the movie came out, it was a sea of black and gold t-shirts outside the theater.
It was certainly everywhere that year
There's a rarity. A V2000 version of The Empire Strikes Back. I don't think I've ever seen one until you put it up. Seen the standard UK VHS and beta many times in the distant past.

Water has been OOP on DVD for quite some time. Though it did get put out as a freebie for one paper, I can't remember what paper now. Optimum Releasing put out a DVD series of HandMade Film titles like Mona Lisa Bullshot, Bellman and True, Withnail and I, Water etc.... many years ago. I've never seen that Polygram/Decca records soundtrack of Water though.
I understand there are other versions: *The Extended Version of Superman: The Movie. *A box set of all four movies plus Superman Returns * A box set of all four movies plus the Donner Cut
