This is a wonderful movie from one of my favorite books and authors. The changed a lot of the incidents from the book but kept the overall story the same. Gregory Peck was excellent as always, and I always enjoy seeing Edmund Gwenn.

The Lord Jesus Christ clearly said in scripture, Matthew 23:9 'and call no man father upon the earth: for one is your Father which is in heaven' and yet the pagan catholics of Rome once again decide to violate God's word. WHY????

Gregory Peck has amazing range. A priest, a lawyer, a gunfighter. He did it all.There is something about his demeanor which commands instant respect.
He projected an intelligent authority.
There is a level headed calmness about him
A true classic. I've watched this several times over 70 years and am still moved by this story.
