It's nice to know some guys still take the time to look good like that. I knew someone in high school who did this style pretty much every single day... Nice... :D
Hello. I find this really beautiful cut. Simple to do and without the fuss . BTW I am inspired me to make my own but differently . Jai the same technique except that instead of every dish I do the same as well-rounded with a wave and only a portion is curved to really make a wave
Man you know the hair looks great! Great video man....can't wait to see that Elvis video. I personally like to see some hair hanging down in the front, the neat look is cool but I like that tousled bad boy look.
First guy hair video tutorial I see and I love it hun. My sister and I are into this rockabilly or vintage Styles. Most of all it looks great on you, you can really pull this look off:D
So much respect, to the hair, to how you cut to music to focus on the styling, to the windsor knot on your tie. If their was still a 5 star rating i'd give this 10 of em but for know a sub (with from subway) and a thumbs up will have to do.
very cool man. I use layrite too but add a top coat of Murrays Light, Tres Flores, or AGS 40wt Pomade for shine. My front isn't long enough to get a high pomp like yours plus I'm starting to notice it thinning on top some :( I hope I dont lose more cause I like the look. You manage to get your part nice and straight which I struggle doing. I like your method for parting it - I will try that to see if it makes it easier. Great video demo man. Thanks.
Nice i really Digg the High Greaser Pompadour hairstyle if i didn't have this high reseding lines i Would definitely Go back to Rocking my Pomp hairstyle:)
superhold on this one and it does not stiffen up feels like your hair is just wet only with hold and works best on damp (semi wet. towel dry) hair . that way it wont dry up as quick also depends on how long you take to style it.
i use to use murrays . b&W . sporting waves well ive experimented with a lot of pomades through the years back from '06 to now and im sticking with Layrite superhold ..cheers! and thanks for watching
@Eddiediana3535 well thats all layrite superhold but only thing that sucks its only shiny when appliing when it drys up its gone and looks like gel .. if royal crown doesnt satisfy i use to use Murrays surperior that hold awesome and perfect shine only it melts in the sun and super tough to get out of you hair id suggest a water type pomade really good shine with medium hold and washes out
LOOL I love the differences of men explaining hair tutorials in contrast to women. They just kind refer to things as "this thing or whatever," or "just do kinda this thing." But it makes so much more sense, much simpler LOL. Rad hair, man xo
@sxeeverardo Thanks for the compliment on my question. Just wanted to let you know I've been going back to the same barber, and he's still awesome. Does a great fade and pomp-y brush back on the front for me. Have been getting so many compliments it's not even funny. LOVE finding a really talented hair main, man!!
Would you say your hair is the same length all over? (other than the bottom etc) It's just I've got mine cut as an almost fake pomp by having it cut as a flat top and just raising it all upwards a bit like psychobilly hair but less harsh and still rounded at the front.. but with super short shaved back and sides too I think I have a lot of growing ahead of me to reach this style instead..
RealJ Diamond in this video not as much with Layrite just applied ..slick back .. applied a little more .. and style ..thanks for watching this video is super old lol
@sxeeverardo yea i have thick hair myself but i really wanna try this hair style and my hair is preety long now and ive been trying to make the style with gel and it wont work do i have to use hair grease inorder to get the same style? and when i go cut it what do i tell the barber just taper on the sides or what hit me back up thanks!
@YamiAura i agree but as the years go by u start to hate the greasy pomades and how it causes you to break out as you can see in this video my acnes almost completely gone cause ive been useing layrite but thanks again i hope to make more videos in the future
Will pomade put my hair back? When i use gel my hair just goes back forward. Thats why i just do spiky bur im in love with the 50's decade in music, fashion and just evrything and my hair is the last thing to make me into a 50's person :)
depending on the pomade you use some come in light . medium. and heavy hold i recommend layrite or suavecito always and only because ive damaged my hair before with heavy pomades and dont want that occurring to anyone else .. cheers!
What did you use here regular Laurite deluxe pomade or Super hold and if you did use Super hold does it stiffen up while you comb cause it look like you had no trouble because I use Suavecito Firme hold and it kinda of hardens up a tad bit while a slick it back or did you wet comb.
I'm trying to do thats pompadour cause i have a classical fifties hair style ( a side and the forme is rond in the back ) and i whant more rockabilly/rock'n'roll hair style
@sparkalanio well to answer 519onyx question its best to have thick hair easier to manage hair while combing as i have thick hair myself .. as far as haircutt is i just get a taper leave everything else as is
More or less yeah, but rockabilly usually comes futher forward than a normal pomp, and this modern 2014-15 pomp (which I hate so much) normally has something like a 1 or 0.5 on the sides, where rockabilly usually has a 3 or so and is combed back along with the rest.
How long is your hair all over? Isit more or lessthe same legth before the first cut? Because I have the back and sides shaved short with a big quiff shaped flat top, like Kim Nekroman from Nekromantix. So the front can be slicked back fine but the rest is too short. :/ I think I want to change to this style, it even looks fine at the beginning of the video all slicked back.
I just used black and white pomade it's got a lovely smell and hold but it doesn't wash out. Ill stick to Vo5 rework washes out really easy. I think pomades will really damage your hair over time.
Am i able do to this for my thick puffy wavy dry wild hair? haha. I've been trying to find tutorials for crazy hair like mine but no luck. What kind of product would you suggest?
@Britishguy18 the regular layrite hold fairly well but the superhold oh man like Murrays just washes out completly i recommend even though its about 15-16 bucks i think its worth it
@nereidsprite best question ive gotten by far... and yes i have to pick the one with experience . picking a rookie wouldnt know much to do with my hair so i only ask for a taper but with an experience barber i can go all out and ask to trim with the clippers or take some off the top and he/she will know what i mean .. the most success ive been getting is because of the clothes i where n stuff most of my barbers know what i want and how a pompadour should be. mistake made leting a rookie cut dew
thanks . i only dress like this cause i was going to work and had alot of time on my hands ha but thank you i dont have my hair like this really tight because i use johnnh B hair gel now instead of the pomades but still good to watch once in a while haha
Welp guess we all can't have hair like back in the day...good tip (if u don't already know) with layrite or any waterbased pomade after your done just put a light coat of hair tonic or three flowers any light grease on the outside of the pomp u get great shine but with hold of the better product cha-Ching
your sides will be tight but combable when u add the layrite also works if you taper the sides completly (morrissey style) .but just ask for a taper #1 and a #5 above the taper..and the part is optional the barber can use the trimmer to make the part for you so that you'll have the perfect part or you can just do it yourself . and thanks . cheers!
Awesome it worked a lot better :) it's not 100% perfect but it's due able :p do you have Any idea how to do a forward pomp. Like it goes forward then slick back not just straight up? Thanks!
i went to cuba and youngsters were all rockabilly.. really stuck in the 50's.. even the cars... lol.
I didnt know that, thats cool af. Love the classic rock and roll look, wish it would make a comeback.
I personally preferred how you did your hair before, but this is still fantastic.
It's nice to know some guys still take the time to look good like that. I knew someone in high school who did this style pretty much every single day... Nice... :D
Good to see this style finding it's niche today. Now all we need is to bring back the music & the cars. Go Cat Go!
Great vid man . Just the right amount of product and you have a great pomp ! Nice touch with the shirt and tie , looks very professional .
1950-1970
Damn 20 Legendary years
semra928 the most legendary were 55-63
Semra ne haber 😅
Hello. I find this really beautiful cut. Simple to do and without the fuss . BTW I am inspired me to make my own but differently . Jai the same technique except that instead of every dish I do the same as well-rounded with a wave and only a portion is curved to really make a wave
this style looks fantastic.
love your hair!
This has now become the way I pomp, it's so easy and looks real good.
Man you know the hair looks great! Great video man....can't wait to see that Elvis video. I personally like to see some hair hanging down in the front, the neat look is cool but I like that tousled bad boy look.
Wow!!! You really know how to do a true classic pomp! Some guys don't even come close to doing it right.but you..I can say. Dayuum!!! I give you an A+
Great job. Superb, Fantastic..... I really liked the way you did it... You seem to do it so so so easily....!! Excellent..
That's a perfect looking pomp . Really nice man . Good job .
His face kind of reminds me a little of Zachary quinto
First guy hair video tutorial I see and I love it hun. My sister and I are into this rockabilly or vintage Styles. Most of all it looks great on you, you can really pull this look off:D

You look very fancy smanchey! Very nice. Keep up the excellent work! :D
All good, found it in your other vids, "Layrite"!! Just ordered some, can't wait for it to arrive (in Australia :()!!
very cool man. Thanks.
Gotta love a guy who knows how to do a pomp properly! Haha
Nice pomp hun,u make it look so easy
Tatal greaser...Love it! Nice brows too.
When you go to the barber what size or sizes do you ask for, for the sides? Or how do you tell them you want your haircut? If possible reply soon
Have you experimented with other pomades (e.g. any DAX product, Mr. Ducktail, Murrays, etc.)?
Nice i really Digg the High Greaser Pompadour hairstyle if i didn't have this high reseding lines i Would definitely Go back to Rocking my Pomp hairstyle:)
superhold on this one and it does not stiffen up feels like your hair is just wet only with hold and works best on damp (semi wet. towel dry) hair . that way it wont dry up as quick also depends on how long you take to style it.

Dude every pomade you use, your hair is suuuuper shiny. I'm jealous! That's awesome bro! Stay greasy my man!
LOOL I love the differences of men explaining hair tutorials in contrast to women. They just kind refer to things as "this thing or whatever," or "just do kinda this thing." But it makes so much more sense, much simpler LOL. Rad hair, man xo
What will i do if my hair is thin?
im new to this hairstyle. how long should your hair be before doing this hairstyle?
My favorite pompadour that you do in videos
nice tutorial man
may I ask which kind of haircut to get before styling it?
what are the lengths for this type of Pompadour ? If i were to get a cut at a barber shop?
@sxeeverardo Thanks for the compliment on my question. Just wanted to let you know I've been going back to the same barber, and he's still awesome. Does a great fade and pomp-y brush back on the front for me. Have been getting so many compliments it's not even funny. LOVE finding a really talented hair main, man!!
Daaaaamn, man. Buttery ass hair! Good shit man, keep up the good work.
Would you say your hair is the same length all over? (other than the bottom etc)

very good job, probably the best pompadour i've seen
holy hell that is the most perfect part ever i'm so gonna try this in the morning
My bf has fine straight hair and struggled with a quiff so got a flat top , you're super cute though x
Should you style it damp or semi wet?
How much gel or pomade do you uses on your hair?
RealJ Diamond in this video not as much with Layrite just applied ..slick back .. applied a little more .. and style ..thanks for watching this video is super old lol
@sxeeverardo yea i have thick hair myself but i really wanna try this hair style and my hair is preety long now and ive been trying to make the style with gel and it wont work do i have to use hair grease inorder to get the same style? and when i go cut it what do i tell the barber just taper on the sides or what hit me back up thanks!
Hey man nice vid. When you go to get a hair cut, do you use a buzzer on the sides and back or just have em do a scissor cut.
Holy crap, perfect! I wish any guys I knew would wear their hair in a pomp. So hot.
@YamiAura i agree but as the years go by u start to hate the greasy pomades and how it causes you to break out as you can see in this video my acnes almost completely gone cause ive been useing layrite but thanks again i hope to make more videos in the future
You have the best hair!
Will pomade put my hair back? When i use gel my hair just goes back forward. Thats why i just do spiky bur im in love with the 50's decade in music, fashion and just evrything and my hair is the last thing to make me into a 50's person :)
If your hair is long enough it should put it back. Pomade is added mainly to maintain the hold and shine throughout the day
depending on the pomade you use some come in light . medium. and heavy hold i recommend layrite or suavecito always and only because ive damaged my hair before with heavy pomades and dont want that occurring to anyone else .. cheers!
You can put water on your hair then put a dab of pomade then you slick it back, but if your hair is short you can't slick it back.
don't use gel the pomade will put your hair back
What did you use here regular Laurite deluxe pomade or Super hold and if you did use Super hold does it stiffen up while you comb cause it look like you had no trouble because I use Suavecito Firme hold and it kinda of hardens up a tad bit while a slick it back or did you wet comb.
what do you use for your hair? oil, wax, gel
Looks awesome.
Yea ! I can see now , Layrite . Not available in the UK that I know of .
Nice, nice, nice hair, thanks for this video!!!!!!!
I'm trying to do thats pompadour cause i have a classical fifties hair style ( a side and the forme is rond in the back ) and i whant more rockabilly/rock'n'roll hair style
Nice pomp man ! really classy . What product do you use ?
Badass buddy, badass. I dig it.
@sparkalanio well to answer 519onyx question its best to have thick hair easier to manage hair while combing as i have thick hair myself .. as far as haircutt is i just get a taper leave everything else as is
what pomade do you use??
cool video, what did u use in ur hair to hold it so well?
Its beauty makes my eyes rain!! q_q that height is so enviable
thankyou :) cheers!
@sxeeverardo I REALLY hope you do. I love your vids man. Great haircuts and slicking and very instructive, too.
Hey man sweet do! What hair product are you using, or at least what style of product? Thanks
difference between a nromal pomp and a rockabiliy? just the sheen/shine?
More or less yeah, but rockabilly usually comes futher forward than a normal pomp, and this modern 2014-15 pomp (which I hate so much) normally has something like a 1 or 0.5 on the sides, where rockabilly usually has a 3 or so and is combed back along with the rest.
looks great man!
in 2006 i did with a beenie helped alot overnight an easy to style b4 school .. cheers!
Damn you made that look so easy
Very smart ! well done .
Great vid KOOL CAT, all I want to see now is drive up in a rat rod or a flat black 55 chev :)
cheers from australia
How long is your hair all over? Isit more or lessthe same legth before the first cut? Because I have the back and sides shaved short with a big quiff shaped flat top, like Kim Nekroman from Nekromantix. So the front can be slicked back fine but the rest is too short. :/
I think I want to change to this style, it even looks fine at the beginning of the video all slicked back.
What did you put in your hair to make it stay... when you style the front it stays so well.. myn just falls.
very cool!
Awesome! Have you tried Suavecito pomade? If so, how do you think it compares to Layrite?
looks great man! love your videos
one of the best pomps out there!
stay greasy!
@sxeeverardo thanks man! Yea cost isnt the problem, ill try it out sometime! Nice pomp man and thanks for the info!
What kind of haircut do you get ? And I do my pomp straight out to.
Men, this is the best video Tutorial about how to Com like a Rockabilly Men Hairstyle ¡¡¡
Great
Nice hair dude!
@Britishguy18 the regular layrite hold fairly well but the superhold oh man like Murrays just washes out completly i recommend even though its about 15-16 bucks i think its worth it
Love ur hair bro but I have like super curly hair so what do I do to make it straight
Good stuff man. Like all your vids

What product did you use in this?
thanks . i only dress like this cause i was going to work and had alot of time on my hands ha but thank you i dont have my hair like this really tight because i use johnnh B hair gel now instead of the pomades but still good to watch once in a while haha
what sort of product do you use
Lets bring it back in fashion when men had cool great look
which product do you use for this?
Sup man whatever happened with that Elvis do video? How are you combing your hair now?
About how long is your hair? I'm trying to figure out if my hairs long enough to get this style rockin'. Thanks!
How long would you say your hair would need to be in order to do this? I would love to try this.
MrColosus99 At least down to your nose.
When I come my hair it just get all flat and weird. You use pomade right?
Sherlock Holmes yes layrite superhold or suavecito pomade don’t use heavy wax anymore
Looks cool but after a while it's a pain in the butt everyday
my hairs thick...and wavy but u can achieve this style with the regular Layrite for thin hair
Welp guess we all can't have hair like back in the day...good tip (if u don't already know) with layrite or any waterbased pomade after your done just put a light coat of hair tonic or three flowers any light grease on the outside of the pomp u get great shine but with hold of the better product cha-Ching

It's not really a modern hair style, because it's retro. But it looks good. Well done.
what do you use to put on your hair?
Awesome it worked a lot better :) it's not 100% perfect but it's due able :p do you have Any idea how to do a forward pomp. Like it goes forward then slick back not just straight up? Thanks!
