    I CT scan historical fish specimens, I really enjoy it as I think you learn anatomy in another way and true placement opposed to diagrams and where you cannot do a dissection.

    What is the correct direction for a CT scan of the chest? Does the patient enter the device from the head or from the feet? I hope for a response

    Hi Dr. Morton, I'm a first year med student. Sooooo.... Can you recommend a website or textbook that can be used to learn/practice with CT scans (and/or other imaging modalities)? Thanks.

      Hi Levi, the website radiopaedia.org/ is an amazing resource and i highly recommend it. Plus, the University of British Columbia has an APP for radiology teaching that i find very helpful (called "UBC Radiology"). I have it for my iPhone so i am not positive it also is available for Android. All the best.

    • @lydiafosu6173
      @lydiafosu6173 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I get it now!The ct scan of the body is not flipped because the body is still in the anatomical position.I think what confused me was the position of the picture of the feet and also when he said from foot to head.I still don't get that part though😅 if I could get further clarification @The Noted Anatomist
      Thanks!

    • @sangtiimchen5675

      @@lydiafosu6173 After months I think I understand it now, we’re suppose to assume that we’re looking at the CT from above and the person facing me. So eg- the person is cut transverse from the abdomen, and that person was facing me and I’m looking at his contents from above, so my right is his left and vice versa. 😅 I hope you understand now, sorry it’s a rough explanation

    • @bebosamy9245
      @bebosamy9245 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its pretty stupid that they scan from foot to head which makes it hard actually.. but anyways imagine your head inside patients abdomen where the patient spine is at your neck and his umbilicus is at your hair and look upward toward patients skull .. now his right becomes your left and your left becomes his right
