    Respect. This fellow has a passion for teaching. It really takes someone with a deep knowledge to turn a complex subject from word-salad to something that can be understood in a fun and painless way.

    your videos are. so so good I use your explanations in class in the university and everyone gets amazed at how easily I explain things, and no people can't go directly to your channel and watch cause I study in Ukraine and everyone barely knows English here, so all I wanted to say is basically thank you cause I memorize everything so easily after watching your videos cause I actually start understanding what is going on

      +The Noted Anatomist hey, could you do one on the axilla please? V popular exam question at my Uni.
      I love your style btw, make things sound and look v clear, and really like the diagrams you use, and your use of arrows and colours.
      Love way you look at things from different views (ie sup, ant, lateral views etc) - makes it much easier to create 3D model in my head.
      And love the relatively simple language you use - much better than trying to decipher jargon filled textbooks.

    • @TheNotedAnatomist
      @TheNotedAnatomist  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Marmite Moringa The axilla .. That is a good idea. What in particular do you find tough about the axilla? The 3D orientation of everything? Or the structures within it?

    5:39 The thoracic duct goes through the diaphragm at the aortic hiatus (T12). It drains into the systemic circulation at the left venous angle created by the join of the left subclavian vein and left internal jugular.
    6:03 There are three major aperarures in the diaphragm, the vena caval foramen, esophageal hiatus and aortic hiatus. A good way to remember this is I ate (8), 10 Eggs, At 12. I For IVC at the level of T8, E in eggs for Esophagus at the level of T10 and A in at for aorta at T12.
    9:45 If you have a right then you have a left... I wish this was correct 100% of the time because there are always those pesky exceptions like a posterior nucleus of vagus nerve but where is the anterior one?
    10:48 there are exceptions here, the right lymphatic duct in addition to those listed drains the left half of the heart, lymph drainage from the 4th to 10th segment of the left lung. The thoracic duct drains everything else and the right half of the heart.
