I have been watching your videos, I got my GTX 300 limited just a weeks ago unfortunately missed the summer, But if you have new adventure for the summer of 2023 let me know we can adventure together!!!
I'll forgive the goofy way you Canadians say de-cal for the excellent review of the product, you earned a follow from me here in the states, I'm hoping to scoop up a 22 gtx ltd this weekend 🍻
I’ve been waiting since October 2021 for our fishpro trophy… we are considering a gtx 300 Ltd too but hopefully we won’t have to wait so long! Your video was great and made me feel less angst about the wait. All the best Bob thanks!
Hi Bob, Looks like you found the rubber piece that goes to your phone holder. Looks like a nice ride. Sea-Doo did also put some sort of a boot around the carbon seal to protect it more. Very nice Ski, I'm excited for my Fish Pro. Can't wait for another Tobermory video!
I was just behind ya on a '22 Fish Pro Trophy. Was ready to choke folks by the time they got the electronics etc installed. Like 13 hours into lake time, love it so far. Big heavy bugger soaks up the waves well. 300 would be pretty snappy!
@@bobsudeyko4088 Thanks! Me too! heh heh heh Was wondering. Figured my luck, I'd get it just in time to winterize it. Washington' season ends by October! I'm eyeballing the SWITCH. Have a nod in on one for next year. At this point, not sure if I'll upgrade, or just have more options (and costs!)...... Interesting watching the different waters vicariously thru some of y'all. Some "kids" outta Florida cause me to go Fish Pro Trophy. Bowel control would be an issue for me 30 miles offshore fishing for stuff that could eat me! Keep up the good work.
Any sign of your new sponsons and catch can yet ? They make a night and day difference in chop, I ride west cost Ireland so very rough and as such I have mine dropped all the way down, it tracks much better, but you should put them one down from top that’s the sweet spot 👍catch can is also a must, you don’t only need it for high speed riding, it very much helps with what they call BLOW BYE from the engine, Seadoo’s are very susceptible to it and it will clog your intercooler over time and reduce your performance, Weather looks great over there, enjoy your ski… great video again
I’m in Central Alberta and got the call last evening that my two 2022 RXTX 300s are now ready for pickup. We ordered them almost a year ago! Now I have to wait until after the long weekend to access the bank and get everything in order. We are extremely excited to get them out on the water. Fingers crossed that many others will be getting theirs soon as well!
Appreciate the review as I am looking myself. I am certain I don't require 300hp but may go that easy we will see. Would've appreciated hearing costing not sure if you mentioned CDN invoice #
@@bobsudeyko4088 thank you very much has seen them selling at 33k privately new condition so probably not with added items you have.. Regardless of price. We aren't here long so enjoy! (PS a good deal imo)
I have gotten an opportunity to buy the 2023 GTX 300 Limited model. But before this opportunity i was looking into the Sea Doo explorer pro (due to its hull and more loading capabilities with the linQ system being standard). Do you have any experience with the adding additional accessories, as the extension module for the linQ system to the back of the GTX 300? Also great video! Thanks!
@@DerWixer666 I have non Seadoo platform that I bought out of Florida that allows me to add an extra two linQ products. The Seadoo product is probably the way to go. A friend has added it and the extension platform to his 2023 300. He likes it. I am in the process of of buying a new machine likely the explorer pro which comes with everything mentioned above including the large travel bag. I have never really ever needed 300 hp. The explorer also uses regular fuel. I also hardly ever use the sound system on mine.
Hi Bob, nice jetsky I'm looking at getting the 2023 GTX 170 or the FishPro Sport 170. I can't see getting a 300 because in U.S Michigan waters you can't go any faster than 50 mph if you want to go 55 mph you have to be a mile offshore. The 170 would be more efficient for Michigan U.S waters if I lived off the ocean I'd definitely get a 300.
I suggest you will have a longer lifespan on that 300 if you take care of it. Components built to greater strength etc precisely because you don't go WOT frequently. Its a theory. Meantime you have more options for cruising.
No supercharger = less things to worry about and no rebuild after 200HR +- , 170 is better on gas and the difference in top MPH is not that great, exhilaration is a little slower of course. Just my 2 cents
Good luck with your new craft! I have idf on my GTX 230/2021. Works flawlessly. When I first got it, I tried it twice within 20 yards of my put-in just to be safe. I've had to use it once in a real situation when I sucked up some sand, shells and small rocks, and it worked as advertised. Also have added the Garmin 62cv GPS with the in-hull transducer, and Riva Sponsons. Love both additions! The sponsons have made a world of difference in rough water handling, and control in Rhode Island sound waters. Safe travels.
@@bobsudeyko4088 At first, I had the setting at three and it worked great. I then moved them to the fourth setting per the recommendation of Kevin Shaw of the WCJ. WOW! Do they bite on a turn, and the handling in rough water has changed my riding experience. So much control, and a new confidence in 2-4-foot chop, and wind. Craft tracks true. Have you watched his video on adjusting the sponsons? It's worth a look.
@@bobsudeyko4088 I'd set it on three. Right in the middle. Works great. I only moved it to the fourth hole out of curiosity after watching the video. I am a tourer like you. Last week on Narragansett Bay, just for fun though, I was cutting around a series of buoys and had to hang on so I wouldn't get thrown off. Really improved the handling in rough water. They do bite hard! Have fun!
@@donaldwest9103 So you prefer 3rd or 4th hole for open sea touring? I'm currently on middle hole (3rd) and I still can spin the tail a bit if I really turn hard for fun in sports mode.

Hey bob. Great review. I finally got mine 3 weeks ago. Iam also looking to get the garmin touch screen. Which one did you order ? Also DM me I have great ideas for the trailer. Don
Hi. Great video. Still waiting on my sea-doo . What is the exact app you use for navigation? I searched and there is a plethora of options. I may order the Garmin too.
Garmin is of course great but yes having 2 options for navigation (at least) is best depending your use. Some bad data areas one works the other doesn't...saves the day! Some people on seadoo/jetski I am sure will live without ever needing it as they stick to the well used path.
Hi Bob,that's a beautiful machine I hooe you have plenty of fun on it 🙂 I have the 2022 rxtx & I have 10 hours on it. I was told at 10hours you have to change the oil after the break I period. What are you're thoughts on that?
I have heard that as well. I asked my dealer and he says not necessary until about 50 hours. I say it can’t hurt to do it and these machines are expensive enough that they should be looked after. I think I will do it soon. Maybe 25 hours
Nice overview Bob. Still think it was worth switching to this new one? You mentioned there’s not much difference from the 2018 in terms of overall package.
Not sure at cruising speeds, but based off of 2 days of driving uncles new 2023 gtx 300 limited, I would guess 120-180km. He got it Friday, we got it to 135km and 15% tank when my Uncle refilled the first time on Saturday at lunch, we then got it to over 200km and just under half tank later on Saturday.
