Love the explorer pro! I traded my spark 3up for a my 22 gti90. Absolutely loved it! Sooooo much more comfortable and all the extra storage is nice. The explorer pro is a awesome idea. Seadoo is killing it with making models that fit everyone’s needs
@@MrCrosbygrandpa no issues thankfully. I guess only con I would say is it is slower than my spark. But I knew that already and I don’t really go fast on the water anyway. I prefer cruising and exploring. 42-44 is a good enough speed and I can still do all the waves jumping and sharp turns etc
Thank you for reviewing this for what it is. I unsubscribed another channel because the reviewer gave a deliberately biased review. He stated right off the bat, that he hated the design, the whole concept, of the watercraft;it wasn’t what he thought a watercraft should be. Let me give you an example of how deliberately biased he was: He said if you put a lot of cargo/weight on the back, you’ll unbalance the craft. If you put a lot of cargo/weight on the back of any craft, you’ll unbalance it! Why not put the heavy stuff- not the gas cans- in the big front storage bin?? Any review, of anything, should ask, what is this designed to do, and does it do that? So, again, thanks for a great review of what this machine is, what it’s designed to do, and who it’s designed for.
Had a Yamaha for several years and really impressed with the sea ski storage and accessibility. The Yamaha frunk is impossible to get to when on the water!! Ordering a explorer pro
Thank you for the video. I love this machine and I think I'll get one. I'm considering the 230 hp because I'm sure that at constant speed the fuel consumption is the same of 170 hp. Only in that scenario there are no big difference , obviously if I accelerate very often the turbocharged burns a lot more gasoline, but I love cross country and go at constant speed to reach many places 👍🏻
I think the front bar would blend in better if it was black or dark grey. Im thinking of getting one of these and if I do thats the first thing im doing.
Do wish it had a big enough gas tank for 300 miles…that would allow real long range trips to the islands…since it’s so fast, it’s a car for the ocean, essentially…give it the range…I look at these as cars/motorcycles for the ocean…crazy way of thinking about it maybe but…
It's a tough call. Explorer Pro has some cool features you won't find on FX Cruiser, like the bumpers and windshield. Overall, I think the Yamaha handles better in the water though. The Explorer Pro felt big and heavy. So Sea-Doo for the features, but Yamaha for the in-water feel.
Well guys I went with the FX cruiser and sorry I did. Not because of the ride but because it wo t stay running. Left me in the Gulf of Mexico during vacation and now failed after being serviced a thrid time. What happened to Yamaha?? My Sea doo GTI se 170 has towed the FX now three twice. So pissed
@@tkpowersports wow, what is the total extra gas tanks?? just trying to see how far I can go without stopping for fuel, with the gas in the tank as well....
Good rule of thumb for the 170 Seadoos is 6 miles per gallon. With 4 attachments, and the fuel caddies I think 3 gallons each, you could bring 12 extra gallons. Also, I think I may have seen you be able to stack the Seadoo fuel caddies on top of each other? So just giving you some ideas that you can go pretty far with a few fuel caddies, and even farther if you can stack them. Check into the details...
I would pay money to see one of the 1st time buyers of one of these try to reboard a 2 seater from the 90's in deep water. 96 xp. All of the weight on the back is gonna cause accidents with the st3 bow hunting good luck w that 20 grand kitted out.
Want one of the worst handling hull in the current industry? While you're trying to get on the water, do you not want to get wet ever or wind on you? This is for you! Also did I mention the terrible performing hull is made even worse with the long deck extension beyond the pivot point? Don't forget all that weight back there too!
Have you tried this ski? Interested in knowing more regarding handling. Stability and handling are very important for me. I like the look of the ski - and it has a few options I like; fish finder and storage. The trophy was on my list to get but about 4 grand higher. Just curious if I should wait on buying this one. Any feedback would be appreciated.
@@MrCrosbygrandpa lots of available info on the ST3 hull and its characteristics in any water besides just glass. Also some years their recipe for manufacturing their carbon seals were terrible and causing new skis to sink. Yamaha and kawasaki have the best hulls, but unfortunately Yamaha only uses clear coat on their skis so that's pretty weak and not great for marine use.
@@MrCrosbygrandpa sea doos with st3 hulls are notorious for constant rider input while even then you're fighting it to track well. If you aren't aware of the handling it'll feel like it has its own mind when it comes to tracking. Many people have been thrown off their skis at high speeds due to the unpredictable nature
@@the14thcreed Thank you, Matt. Curious to know why the Fish Pro Trophy has more positive reviews with the same hull design. I'm looking for a ski to fish both fresh and salt. My last ski was a 2005 Sea Doo GTX with a fishing rack on the back. It handled damn good even in rough seas. I no longer have it, and am looking for another ski that has stability and handling. Any suggestions? Thank you again.

This content is fantastic guys!!! Love the ORV, PWC and snowmobile reviews!!! Keep up the great work gents!!!
Dang, imagine doing the entire Loop on this, that would be awesome. Thanks for the review, my favorite so far. 😎✌️
Happy WEDNESDAY ✌️ HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY EVERYONE
Loving this ski. 55 mph on water is more than enough. This ski is beautiful you can do long distance rides

Great review ....and you are right, I had never seen anything like this before....so of course I ended up buying one!!! Great job on this video!!!
Oh Stephen, that ride was made for me!
Definitely one of the most comfortable PWCs on the water. Think of all the food and cooking gear you pack for an island lunch!
Just got mine! Good Video! Passed on the 230 model cuz i wanted the fuel efficiency and the 230 only goes like 64 vs the 170 55mph
Didn't know Luke combs was doing reviews now lol. good review
Lmao, first time I saw his videos I thought exactly the same. Which is a good compliment imo😂
Love the concept , total utility with purpose , 230 available option ,
Great machine love it 🙌🏼 Great job seadoo

Just picked up the explorer pro 230! 💪
Truly amazing machine
I’d buy that one. Multiple uses.
Great video!!!
Very cool!!!😎👍🏼
Great video! This is the first sea-doo that holds any interest for me. How loud is it? How far can you go on a tank of fuel?
You could probably get 110 miles with speeds at 28-30 mph.
Great review!
Would it be good for pulling a tube behind it as well?
As a BIG guy, I like the test that you did by standing on one side. Are there other models or brands that compare or are more stable?
Sea-Doo got the storage right.
Are these machines loud to operate?

Can you give us more details about fuel consumption ? Liters per khilometers or per Hour...
45L per 100kms offshore pushing it a bit.
I can carry a lot more camping gear on this! My dog rides and takes a good bit of cargo space on my GTI

Does it feel noticeably bigger and heavier than the GTX 170 that’s about 11” shorter? Also what was top speed?

Kawasaki should make the competition and call it 'Bimini Runner'.
They put a bigger engine option in the this years model.
I really like it, but I would never buy one. It is really cool machine for the intended buyer.
Did i hear correctly, 4 tanks of fuel can be loaded onto this machine??
Yep. The extended Linq plate that comes with this machine adds two extra attachment point for a total of four.

3 on the plate, 2 on the rear deck.

This Explorer Pro is low on power, need 230 to 300 horsepower
But you sacrifice range which is its intended purpose.
What is estimated range?
Dont beach your Seadoo .
Then what should i do with it at the beach?
