BetterRTX is the first Ray Tracing shader mod created for Minecraft's Bedrock Edition (Win 10/11). It is a communal effort to fix and improve upon the rendering features already present within Minecraft's official Ray Tracing implementation.
The project was created by a voluntary team brought together by the shared goal of giving Minecraft RTX the care it deserves, which Mojang does not provide. It works through a decompile/edit/recompile process where the decompiled shader code is improved and then recompiled to be injected back into the game files.
At the moment, the team consists of two developers, several playtesters and a release manager. Myself and the other developer consistently pushed new fixes and rendering features as the mod progressed, after which the playtesters provided feedback on both the visuals and performance on a wide range of devices. Testing was conducted with GPUs from Nvidia, Intel and AMD to determine the viability of the feature additions with our performance goals in mind. In its current state, BetterRTX has a near-negligible effect on performance in most cases.

I have alot of rtx videos saved in a playlist and whenever I look at one of these vids I’m not only shocked by the shader’s beauty but also calmed and happy for some reason. Some day Imma afford a good computer to play betterRtx too, cuz this sjit is healing me man
It just modifies normal RTX in bedrock and fixes all the issues from the original you can run this with a RTX gpu like a 20 series

BetterRTX is awesome, I'm a day 1 user of it and with dlss tweaks, I can get 240+ fps with it on my 3070

Minecraft RTX can really benefit from DLSS 3.5
It is really noisy and because of the gameplay it is really annoying and unplayable when you remove or place a block and it takes time for light to change,DLSS 3.5 can help with these and improve drastically, Nvidia has to do something with minecraft rtx,improving it in any way they can
I agree, + with the new super cards, with DLSS 3,5 we could at least play Minecraft RTX at 150+ fps, im running at 40 fps with a 3060 ti so imagine with the new cards and DLSS....
The delay and noise are only caused by lower-end graphics cards. Mine has no delay and almost no noise. I turned my graphics card to boosted performance and it drastically improved the noise.
@her8066 Yes, but dlss ray reconstruction can really help with both noise and delay no matter your GPU,it also should improve image quality
finally i can turn my Minecraft bedrock like this, and finally the minecraft bedrock graphics can be much better than the java version because of this thanks god

@@-shadowed- Yep, but Java can't use the hardware ray tracing cores present on modern graphics cards.
@@mootorkassipoeg you mean present on nvidia graphics cards. I was more talking about shaders such as voxelmentary which provides much more realistic light transport but with a more stylised feel.

The water refraction is perfect, I have a lake at my house and the water graphics in minecraft look exactly like being in my lake

Java is defeated just like that by the first ever Bedrock rtx shader
and only and the fact that it's not a shader and it's just raytracing and bedrock is still worse in just about every other way if there's a difference

@truesosense7722 modding quality is much better on Java lol. I agree, on the preformance though, I get better performance on 96 render distance on bedrock then 32 render distance on java

i had a 7800xt but i got a 4070 just to try our rtx packs and thats pretty cool how much it changes i still dont think the tax on nvida cards is wirth it but in starfield cyberpunk and minecraft it looks pretty cool

@@Ezdine_G8261 yeah but its not ray tracing the way nvidia does it is different in how amd did it also amd cards get less performance i stil have my 7800xt but built a second rig for it and it just sits in my living room. the diff in fps using the 2 cards is not noticeable to me however if the 7800xt in a few years is getting better fps bc of the vram ill switch i got the 4070 for free so i didnt have to pay anything

The 7800 xt has better performance then the 4070, 4 gigabytes more vram, and only about 20-30ish % loss in raytracing

i play like this and it makes me regret buying a 1080p monitor, if you use/ plan to use shaders like these definitely get a 1440p or 4k monitor so you can embrace the fidelity fully without too many unwanted pixels or blurriness.

Java has Better BetterRTX. If u want the same feel Better RTX gives, i suggest using a shader such as ApolloRT(paid and raytraced) or SEUS PTGI(free and raytraced but has less features)

Java doesn't even run on Direct X, it uses OpenGL so it doesn't even support hardware RT features. Other issues stem from the fact that Java edition jut performs worse in general

as not much liking shaders i can say its looks realistic rtx and fr looks so good,realistic than other shaders just 2:03 what is this lol. 3:19 close areas has bad lighting so 3:23 there much darkness for no reason

It's because betterRTX adds more contrast. I still prefer vanilla RTX in many cases

The download is *EXTREMELY* sketchy. Why?
1. Takes you to a 3rd party website.
2. Instead of it leading you to the Minecraft app (Like shaders usually do) it has you download the file.
3. When opening the file, take note; it can NOT be closed. I anticipated this would be some sort of virus, and as soon as I realized that I unplugged my PC right away. Even if this isn't a virus, it's very, and I mean *VERY* sketchy.

I'll be honest, Complementary Unbound can get close on Java edition to this kind of quality but the true NVidia supported RTX system is simply unbeatable. You can't fight the leading manufacturer of the world's most powerful graphics cards when it comes to making games look amazing!

It will, it uses nv's rt hardware acceleration so you should be fine. :D

@@crestofhonor2349 I think that vanilla rtx has more natural sunrises. I also love the vanilla soft whadows. Though I do agree that vanilla rtx looks way worse at noon.
Understandable, sometimes the contrast makes it hard to see closed environments (I've watched hundreds of rtx and better rtx videos coz I'm broke and I can't use it)
All rtx texture packs look the same. Doesn't matter which you download tbh

This videos title is misleading. BetterRTX is not a shader and you can't run RTX in minecraft by installing BetterRTX without an RTX shader pack. BetterRTX is a variety of fixes and enhancements to the abysmal implementation of RTX in Minecraft that serves to fulfill the lack of development we've seen for this feature from Mojang.
I'd call it both a shader and a mod. Either definition works since BetterRTX is both.
Everything you see in 3d games is made out of shaders including ray traced meshes.
