In this episode we continue our shakedown trip. We continue down the Elk Valley, cross over to the Clear river valley and ride through Fernie
We did a 12 day shakedown ride along the GDMBR, BC 1000 and some other trails in the southern Canadian Rockies. This video is part of the preparation for an around the world bikepacking trip. We will be riding south from the Canadian Rockies this September.
Join Mira and John as they dogpack the Americas. Last summer they rode the GDMBR, The Oregon Timber Trail, Orogenisis, Wild West route, Baja Divide, Trans Mexico_Norte and many others.
This year as the borders open they are riding south to towards the tip of South America.

Another great riding day on the GDBMR. I really enjoyed the covered bridge and it's something we have a lot of in New England.
The snow mobile cabin was really nice and it would have been great, to leave some jugs for GDBMR bikers.

Unfortunately she was killed by a moose years ago and I still miss her so it’s great to watch you and Mira. Happy trails!

@@OmniTierra This is true! If I am looking I see it, even on local rides I have done many times. Come to think of it, there is even beauty in the heart if I pay attention. Getting out there, as Duzer would say, somehow clears the mind or slows it down, and the beauty that is present becomes evident.

She only wears the goggles when needed on the bike. It’s a quick process. Rexspecks website has good tips

Love all the videos, I think I have seen most of them. I do have question about your back rack. You seem to have one that goes on a cargo bike. I have never seen one like that before and was thinking of have one made for me. Did you buy your back rack that Mira rides on. I hope that you and Mira have more adventure soon.

I was trying to head out on my own Journey when my $2,600 mountain bike was stolen. Brand new... never even got to ride it. I saved for 2 years to get it. Hoping I can save my life with a bike. So I'm kind of stuck for a little bit. I've got a standard poodle that I want to ride with me. How did you teach your dog to get up on the basket on the back?
