I thought the performances were great and I did enjoy the psychological aspect of it with the conversations and argumentative points between the family and invaders. But it did ultimately end up falling flat for me and I was underwhelmed by the film over all. Great review
Thank you I didn't enjoy the actual ending itself, but the feelings, emotions, and shivers while watching and waiting for the outcome when unknown while on the ride was the best part, it must have made you happy at the end to know God was not going to make huge tidal waves, and drop planes from the sky anymore. lol after the ride was over though the end didn't ruin it for me, and even though I didn't enjoy the end and explanation it still didn't ruin it for me like it would with most generic movies, one of M. Night Shymalan's better movies for sure I thought it was kinda genius after watching the first time, how we were left waiting for that big M. night shymalan twist, but it didn't come in a traditional sense, because right from the start to the last seconds we were being told the truth, the truth was the twist, and we can't handle the truth, and relating that theme to the question of God also added another layer of thought bout what is Truth, but not just in the movie relating the question to real life also
