Great idea. I use one of those cordless drill pumps but might switch to your setup.

After owning and servicing my own 7 Yamaha waverunner engines, there is a reason there is not a section on "winterization" in the manual or service manual. There is long term storage, which does not include antifreeze in the coolant lines.. As the Yamaha jet pumps are self draining. Glad you figured out how to dump antifreeze on the driveway, as it really did nothing for the waverunner. It will be good for other brands though. nice work.

Thanks for the input. I’d much prefer to have antifreeze than water in the machines I take care of. Next time you take an exhaust system out or motor apart let me know if you find water in it… you certainly will 👍

yea i just "winterize" mine by running it out of the water for a few revs blowing any water left in the exhaust manifold/pump, never had to do anything else for any of my skis

I’ve seen a lot of internal corrosion problems from the wet exhaust systems. Your water box still holds fluid even after you rev it.
The air inside of the motor is at 100% humidity all the time so fogging and antifreeze for me for the 6 months my skis will be sitting. I maintain over mil $ worth of machines and I’m taking no chances

@@ccjetsports Fair statement, you do you. The water box in the exhaust is the only place that can hold water after an on trailer rev. The expansion cannot damage anything the water box with what little is left. Rinsing is one thing to keep corrosion down, and needed in salt water. Next time catch the antifreeze that comes out compared to what you pumped in. It' won't lie to you. Again, it's a good video for other brands for sure.
