I love the demonstration of how this machine operates and what it can do for the operator. I just purchased a new Singer 2277 model and still have to get the accessories and supplies I will need along with material to start working on the projects I have in mind. I wanted to get a different model, but there seem to be a shortage of Singer machines and this model along with a few others was the only ones available. I have learned some from the video to be able to operate my machine and hope this video helps other new users also.

Thank you so much. I have exactly the same machine.. it was stitching well but suddenly the thread started jammed.. But after putting the bobbin properly, thank God it started working. I was almost about to give up & get a new one..
Great informative video that was clear and concise, thanks! I do however have a problem with my Heavy Duty 4432 machine that is giving me bad stitch results and I think I have discovered where this happens. The thread pops right out of the last (7) thread guide when I start to sew. I have tried re-threading and it still keeps happening. I am left with missed stitches in varying lengths that look messy. I know how crucial this last thread guide is and it seems it's where a lot of people forget to pass their thread. What keeps going wrong? I use a stretch/Jersey Schmetz needle installed for stitching a tee...tension on 4. Stitch length 3.5 using Gutterman all purpose thread. I am so confused as it was fine to use last week. Why will the thread not stay in the last thread guide? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I do not know if you will see this, but the manual for the 4452 does not show where the oiling points are. It does mention lubrication,but not where! I contacted Singer, and they e-mailed me that they would get back to me, but it is now a few days and I am anxious to oil it and start sewing masks, because of the COVID pandemic. I realize the company is busy, but really want to find out about the oiling! Thank you so very much.

I have three questions regarding leather, i'm using between 1.5 to 3oz thick material that would be no more than two layers thick, as I would like to make a pair of front seat covers: 1. What would you recommend for thread, needle, feet, tension and anything else I may need to know ahead of time before sewing leather? 2. What would be the thickest leather material you can sew two layers of with this machine? 3. What would you use to pin the material together, i.e. double sided tape, etc.?
What if my Bobbin Thread isnt at about 8 o' clock and going straight towards the needle? Mine is still between the metal at about nine o' clock. I dont know what to do.

Hi, I got my new Singer Model 4423 a few days ago, and have been learning how to use it. I am having major problems with bird nest tangles on the underside of my work. Have tried re-threading, winding a new bobbin, changing the tension, changing the needle size, but sewing a simple straight stitch on a face mask has become impossible, without the birdnest thread tangles on the underside of the mask. Please help!

Help,I just bought a same machine, after a week ,I i used it just for the sake of making mask,i work full time,so I only used this like 3 times.It was good at firts,then for some reasons,they won't stich forward only in Reverse stich (backward) im so mad 😤 get me frustrated, this is brand new it shouldn't do that.although I'm watching the video tutorial ,I still like to have the manual paper in hand and all tutorial guidance. @@aliciacunningham3894 Hi Alicia! It is the one step buttonhole lever causing your issue. Page 2 of your owners manual, #15 is the lever I am referring to. It sounds like you may have inadvertently pushed it while sewing. Pushed back it sews in reverse. Give it a pull toward the front of your machine. That should do it. Thank you! -TB

I bought a Singer 44S. I HATE it! There is no way to adjust the speed and the one I got is set waaaay too fast! I took the foot pedal cover off to see if there was a way to adjust it but there isn't. The ones made in USA have a small screw that can be turned. The foreign made ones at WalMart do not. My first machine ever and I ended up with a piece of garbage.

Is the bobbin winding post pushed in? If you leave the machine in bobbin winding mode it disengages the needle.

When you need a close up in this video you rarely get it.
I bought a Singer 44S. I HATE it! There is no way to adjust the speed and the one I got is set waaaay too fast! I took the foot pedal cover off to see if there was a way to adjust it but there isn't. The ones made in USA have a small screw that can be turned. The foreign made ones at WalMart do not.
My first machine ever and I ended up with a piece of garbage.
