We own a Puma Titanium X First Edition in metropolitan white 125hp mild hybrid here in Holland. It has all the kit you want. It's a nice smal family car. We love the big washable boot space and the washable seat covers, specially with kids. We think it's a smart car to buy. We're really happy with it.
Wow I really like this girl! Bucket loads of personality, interesting opinions and angles, and she connects with the audience. She certainly did with me. Breath of fresh air, keep it up, and more please! Nice car too
For me, the real deal breaker on any car trying to be an SUV is the lack of four wheel drive. If I buy a taller car, some of the point is being able to go a bit off road, and while these things might take me further than a regular car, they'll soon get stuck... I live in the north of Norway btw. Not lacking slippery climbs in the winter...
Our second is on the way. St Line to ST Line X. Left a Mk8 Fiesta ST for our current model and very happy with it. Does all you need. No slouch, and loads of space.
Great video but as for Ford re-marketing the spare wheel space as extra storage is stretching it a bit! Having had a tyre blow out on the side of the busy A27 which couldn’t be repaired with the obligatory tin of tyreweld my preference is for a spare tyre and not somewhere to store my golf clubs vertically!
A good and fast presentation! I noticed you' ve also covered (in 3 words!) the introduction of the new CVT7/mHev. Indeed, it was a very "compressed" description of PUMA. Not that you missed some important points but I would enjoy it being more analytical!
I have the StLineX, I have had 2 of the original Pumas. The new one, even if it is controversial, is a worthy successor to the '90s sports coupe. I absolutely love it. It looks awesome, it handles great, it is cheap but well equipped.
I honestly wish they'd replace the Ecosport with the Puma in the US. Badly wanted the new Focus hatchback here but I would concede to a "crossover" if it looked like that.
I bought the ST-X about 6 months ago. Great car, really nice to drive and decent amount of toys. The self park is actually really good (my street is parallel parking only)
I was all set to go for the ST Viginale auto, as from the many reviews it ticked all the boxes i.e. performance on the 155 bhp engine which also has plenty of torque, good handling, high spec and a decent size boot for a small car as well as good looks. However when I went to my local Ford dealership, I was put off by the driving position no matter how I played around with the seats and steering wheel I couldn't get the driving position I was comfortable with. I'm, average size 5'10 and not fat or slim but somehow I think Ford have missed out here. A shame as I really wanted to like the car, but unfortunately I'm still looking.
There is way too much fluff in this video that it's actually distracted from the car. You talk about the interior for a good 3 minutes but you were so obsessed with showing off fancy close-up camera work, that you actually did not show how the front interior actually looks. How?
Really love the look of these and after watching this review have test driven a 1 litre MHEV ST line X really great an was surprised how effortless and fun to drive it was. Not 100% sure I’d swap my Boxster S for it but it came very close

Another great review, I really like this car, Ford have done well. However all u on line reviewers need to stop calling it an SUV, the focus and even the Sandera stepway has better ground clearance! Call it wat is it, its its hatch back car, its just a new model of fiesta.
The review was okay, but the camera angle during the shoot was not up to the standard that I am used to seeing on Carbuyer reviews. The interior of the car, especially the front dashboard was not comprensively covered. But the presenter nontheless did a good review
I can ignore it, but it does the presenter an injustice. She is capable of entertaining us without the editors trying to be fancy. Constructive feedback = better videos.

Excellent car. Really is top value, with all the kit and tech you need and the way it drives. I had a titanium, only grip I would say is the front seats (all are heated with massage function) are very uncomfortable on a long drive (But the STLINE X should combat that i suspect) . But apart from that well recommended small family car.
The Ford Ecosport is actually pronounced Echosport for some reason, probably embarrassed to call it otherwise. I have the Puma ST-Line X and think it is a great car, only done 150 miles in it up to now though.

Nice enough, but for a similar price you can buy a Kia Niro Hybrid which is bigger and better. My 3 version has leather upholstery, and almost every available extra, what's more it is averaging 57mpg
good review Nicola, Ford need to brighten up the interiors, instead of only black on every model, Magnetic is good colour for sure. ST version should be good, if they fix the tight Recaro seat bolsters. As usual, high costs and Ford finance limitations let it down across the board, with rivals offering better deals.
sells very slowly here, but it sells. Ford lowered its price already but you'll see them not too much riding. I personally like the car. If I needed urgently a new car I would do the Titanium in dark blue. Nice finished and good quality Ford. They could do a STRIPE like they do with the Mustang. It is simple a VW Golf costs 3000 euros more.
Regulations. They have to be certain sizes and shapes. The engines are heavily regulated. Seats have to meet standards... list goes on. The worst part is, many countries have different rules and regs. So a manufacturer has to meet all of these, to be able to sell on a global market. Cars manufacturers could go crazy with design back in the day. Almost like artists at one point.. now, they can't do that.
This segment has been around since 2011 when BMW punted the X1. BMW were not happy it sold well because it threatened the beautiful saloon cars they are famous for. They sold almost a million E84s. There are no front quaterlights to reduce the blindspots - as you find in the Lexus UX and the Subaroo XV. Also the seats have very high sides which make getting in and out ridiculously awkward. I was hoping to test drive this car but the initial 'sit-in' a the dealership was so bad I won't bother. Shame - it is a nice looking motor.
Interesting suggestion about wanting colour on the interior. I prefer a clean look. No colour on the interior for me. Bit annoying in the UK where you get a Qi wireless phone charger as standard, but in Ireland we have to option it. Also, why no Qi charger option on the Fiesta or Focus? Just checked: many features you just listed are not on the Irish ST Line X model, and some aren't even an option such as leather seats, etc. UK cars get some many more options as standard. I think those in the market for one in Ireland should consider importing it from the UK. Since Brexit I'm unsure what that would mean, but the UK get such a better car for the money. Hmm...
