Absolutely 💯 love your viedos, what a wonderful suprise getting to see your family,,the little ones are beautiful and your Wife is so very kind to bring them. She's the BEST!!!
Cap’n thanx for accommodating my schedule. Today is a much less hectic day. We’ve already had almost 2” of rain and the sun isn’t up yet! Delaying this gave me the extra time I needed to get my chores done B4 sitting down to immerse my self in your latest antics! Now about the actual video presentation.., it had everything I’ve come to enjoy about your channel: sweat, problem encounters, problem solving, the 755, the log winch, the log arch, broken cameras, drone fly over, cameos by the girls and doggo. All combine to provide progress and pure viewing pleasure at the end. Considering that you went the extra mile and broke your hammer in this one, I’d say you reached video perfection… except for one snuggling little fact… Cap’n, I think it needs more cowbell!
Captain, if you have to saw more timbers, pop a line, get your log off the ground, get on top of it and cut it from the top. You can make really good cuts that way. Thanks for another good video!!
Captain, I’ve e worn my glasses ALL DAY with more than that itty bitty smudge! So great to see a guy able to farm wood on his own property and get on with it! Well done!
I agree. Once he told me what it was, I forgot about it. If it had been a crack it would have been really noticeable, but a scuff that could have been a finger smuge in the corner was no issue. Now if it had been in the center it would have been distracting but it wasn't.
No culvert keep it natural that is how Mother nature wants it. Looks awesome great work. you know Harbor Freight has a saw mill I have watched some videos on it and people seem to like it
Mike, I am impressed with the way you used physics to assemble the bridge beams. Fulcrums, pivot points, pulleys and force arms sure make your bridge build a much easier job. You are an inspiration with your explanations of what you are doing and then showing the processes using your talents.
Thanks, what you do remined me of our NWest British blacksmiths shop that started in 1890. I can see I am 2y late but the fun you have is great, "just get it done attitude. I learnt to weld when I was 10y I built a pulse jet engine when I was 17y Now old age holds me back a bit so I now service very old sewing machines {my very old machines are from around 1880} They still work and we use them to make things to give away.
Great start. Good sawyering & use of wedges. You must have gotten an A in geometry to use your winch like that. Looking forward to seeing it all come together.
And that boys and girls is why you need to learn geometry so you can figure out your angles and pull points when building a bridge in the middle of nowhere. Good video and lots of hard work.
Wouldn't physics be more appropriate? Cause and effect are more useful here then most anything else... lol seems anything concerning such efforts are needed.
@@garymucher9590 basic geometry is sorta a pre req for basic physics, and the more complicated the physics, the more complicated the geometry you need to know.
Thanks to surveying merit badge... It got me through High School trigonometry and a bunch of the algebra. And then there was the day that I was the presumed "unskilled" a member of the survey party which consisted of the engineer and me. I set up the theodolite and verified it as a good instrument, located an official USGS benchmark within three traverse points of the work limits. "Where did you go to surveying school", he asked. 👷♂️
Looking good...an ambitious solo project..with your great work ethic you will knock it out . I enjoy watching you work... I appreciate people who can take a vision and make it reality...good job.
Further good progress. All looking good. Knowing you it will be a super delux bridge once you are finished!! You and your family stay safe and well. Cheers from Scotland.
Thank you for sharing your life and projects with us. I enjoy watching everything you put up. Love the family bits. Keep up the good work! Hugs from Washington state!

Captain planet reference, from the captain, building a wood bridge recycling trees that would otherwise be trash. Very clever. 😁
