I'll do a side by side for you what I do know off hand is fromsoftware love the steam deck so they made it run very well on it and I have windows installed on my steam deck and windows 10 take some power away from game Proformance but my plan is to put steam OS back on my deck and that's when I'll do the side by side I should be posting that side by side tomorrow
Don't have one of these and have minimal information on them but looks interesting... They have touchscreen for the keyboard right? Analog triggers (for the racers)? How's the D-pad and sticks? Any drift?
Yes this is a touch screen I just don't like leaving fingers prints but you can type fast with your hands and the joy sticks are magnetic so they can not get stick drift 😎 and the D-pad is definitely good does the job for me I'm sure for fighting games there's definitely better ones out there
I'm ahead of you on that one I tried game pass on my steam deck and the Xbox app does not pick up the controls for it I would assume it's the same for the ayaneo 2 there is a way to make it work but it's a hassle but it could be different for the ayaneo I'll give it a try and see if it works

@Lionel truther I have a i9 rtx3060 laptop and I never use it it's not that it's gonna match it it's just being able to hold it easy in your hands I have a office job that I bring my laptop to work to use it on my free time and it was annoying having to bring a controller the laptop the wires but these hand helds do the job and a more convenient job but their 2 different categories of devices aimed to 2 different types of gamers but it goes hand in hand some ppl don't mind carrying a laptop around but I just couldn't long term I would say in about 3 or 5 years these hand helds will be 2 or 3x stronger then now

It just kinda depends on what you want but one thins for sure laptop battery life is just as bad as handheld battery life but me personally I would go with the ayaneo 2 since it's portable and it handles everything literally the laptop is more powerful bigger components will always perform better then smaller components so if your looking for portability go ayaneo if your just looking for performance go laptop or desktop
great video! I am in doubt between aya neo geek and steam deck (they are the same price in my country) my only fear regarding aya is having a problem and needing support, I saw that many people had strange problems. Is setting up the controls difficult? Did you have any problem?
I have had zero issues with my ayaneo 2 I have seen a few people talk about some issues but personally I have not had any if you want my advice the steam deck is definitely the better choice when it comes to company support but personally I have had no issues with my ayaneo 2 I don't have a geek so I'm not sure how worth it , it is
I had only 1 issue with controls. When I have my aya neo 2 docked, if I try to sync my Xbox one controller, it constantly prefers to use my controls on the device. It's not a big deal most of the time because the on board controls go-to sleep after a while, but I wish I had a button to disable the controls on board when I have this thing docked
I'm not 100% familiar with installing emulators and roms but I will definitely be learning how to very soon !! And I can definitely make a video on it since I also have a steam deck
I was lucky to be in the first batch ayaneo shipped out I got the white 32 ram and 2T so it's more like then anything that I got mine fast but yes they started shipping about 2 or 3 weeks ago
Not sure what you mean but if you wanna play online you gotta be online and steam has a offline mode that let's you play offline if the game it self let's you
I got a problem with my ayaneo2, when I conect it to a dock and I use an xbox controller, several games only recognize the ayaneo controller, maybe do you have a solution?
@@anonymousj227 Well if you don't know what Undervolting is, you probably don't know how to do it for the Ayaneo2. So don't worry about it. Undervolting= Lowering the voltage of the Apu, which means that it consumes less watts/less power while still delivering the same (or better) performance. It's basically better than overclocking (often used in conjunction with an Overclock). For many years Undervolting was a big advantage for Intel mobile cpu's over Ryzen mobile (which couldn't undervolt), but in the past year or so Ryzen mobile can be undervolted with AMD APU Tuning Utility. The steam deck can actually be undervolted through bios.
There's a work around you can get them to work there's alot of videos that show you how it's just a little complicated process at lease for me but I'm sure it's not as bad as it looks but don't feel like there's no hope you can definitely get it to work it's just gonna take a bit of know how to do it just follows the tutorials on TH-cam and you'll be able to use them !I have not tried Microsoft store so there's a chance that works

Sadly for these hand helds you cant use game pass games unless you download some separate files to get the games to work with the controller

My personal opinion the ayaneo 2 is definitely capable of replacing the deck and feels more premium as well and yea I don't touch my steamdeck anymore

Games run fine the issue is downloading it will take a day to install any game
