    I liked this thing on a test ride, but the mechanical brakes are a bummer, and the motor was noisy. Going to wait for it to evolve a bit more.

    Why do you think the Sinch was almost a minute faster on the throttle only hill test than the Pace 500.3. Both use 500w rear hub motors and the Pace is significantly lighter?

    Sapphire, although the Quicksilver is growing on me.

    Looks awesome, especially the torque sensor, but the screen sucks and you should be able to adjust the power levels.

    I own two other Aventon bikes and want to get a Sinch. Does the Sinch battery share the same battery with other Aventon brands? Would be nice to swap between my level 2 or the abound that I own.

    I’ve yet to find a 4”, 500+watt, folding bike that doesn’t weigh 68-73#. Skinny tire folders yes, but not fat tire bikes.

      It’s still 62lbs with battery and welded on rack, but Surface 604’s Twist model may be worth a look.

    As @PumpUptheJam81 mentioned, the mechanical brake thing is just enough of a turn-off for me to wait or buy another brand. And their statement about brake choice is kinda suspect, especially when the direct competitor Lectric figured out how to include hydraulic brakes on their XP Step-Thru 3.0.
    Also gotta be mindful that Aventon has much higher overhead than the likes of Lectric, which doesn't have those physical location relationships so their cost are likely a lot less just because of that.
    And to @ElectricBikeReport - if you have any hopes of growing your sub base, better make time to engage with people who leave comments. I see a lot of questions, but a year later not one response. That's pretty bad especially when our time is exponentially more important than yours.

    I just got my sinch 2 last week. 1st ever ebike. I'm 5 ft. So I was limited to what ebikes I could choose. But I love my sinch 2. The free new battery is on the way. I paid $1299 as it was $200 off during memorial weekend. I'm 61 yrs old. I'd like to get a front bike rack. Aventons is too small. Any suggestions how to find one at a bike store? Thanks! Happy riding!!

    Could you use a bungee cord to attach to both wheels to help stay together when folded? Or do you recommend something else? Thank you. I see some ppl put their bike in a tote. Thoughts? Thanks again!!

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A bungee could work, but it would need to be small to avoid stretching. Some brands have added velcro straps that work well. The tote thing could work, but it could also be a pain to get inside - plus that's a lot of weight.

    Ebike vergin here.
    Interested in this Ebike but am wondering;
    At 6'3 would the Sinch.2 suit me?

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can get by for sure. Pedaling might not have the best leg extension, but higher motor power can offset that issue.

    i am between this and a magnum premium 3 on sale hmmmm any suggestions? I am 6' 4 just want something to pull the kids around I was on the magnum premium 3 highstep and impressed with the comfort but saw the aventon has 4 inch tires and is about the same price as the magnum however the premium 3 is cadence not torque

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They're both good bikes, but I'd recommend the Sinch based on your height. Obviously there will be a big difference in feel between torque and cadence sensors.

    Does the torque sensor work well when trying to go slow in tight spaces or busy areas without having to turn assist off?

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In lower assist settings, absolutely! I'd probably use Eco for those kinds of situations.

    Which is better Sinch or Portola?

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question, but the answer depends on what matters most to you. The Portola is sized more for shorter riders, and it's also a little better suited to folding and transporting with a lower weight. The Sinch is a bit larger and heavier, and it responds more like an analog bike since it has a torque sensor. Hope that helps!

    That 20mph speed cap is going to limit the market for this ebike. The PAS speed results show the bike is capable of more.
    As far as pinching hydraulic lines, that depends on how they’re routed, especially near the hinges. The internal routing probably makes it more likely.

    • @markeverett3917
      @markeverett3917 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The PAS on my sinch 2 goes to 25 mph. The owner of the shop where I purchased it changed it for me through his app. I don't want to connect my app because I'm afraid it might kick me back down to 20.

    • @chow-chihuang4903
      @chow-chihuang4903 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@markeverett3917 That was nice of your shop to do that for you! I wouldn’t be worried about connecting to your bike through the app on your phone. Once connected, it looks easy to modify the assisted speed cap. But if you don’t need or want the metrics, social media features, and modifying the assisted speed cap is all you wanted to do, I don’t see a need to use the app either. Now, if you could use the app to lock the bike like some e-bikes do, that’d be useful.

    • @iraweiss517
      @iraweiss517 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Any owner can change the top speed with the App. Aventon must have updated their software after the bike was tested.

    • @chow-chihuang4903
      @chow-chihuang4903 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, the speed caps for several models were recently updated. Some like the Sinch 2 and Soltera were increased, whereas others were reduced like the original Aventure (from 31 to 28mph), the latter probably because they must have received some notice of being in excess of class 3 limits.

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We're noticing a trend of brands reducing tire size in recent months. I'm sure 4" tires will still be around, but 3" seems to be the new norm.
