Phil has an above entry level TV, so even out of the box it should be pretty close to seemless, so any other settings changes is getting into a margin of error that no one will notice.

Making your way to master is like gaining belts in a martial art, you'll become a black belt at master. From this point on it's a points based system where you essentially get your "black belt dan" ranks. Capcom designed the rank system so people with a (I think) roughly 40% win rate will climb the ranks. So essentially it's a mixture of persistence and putting time in to practice that will get you there, you shouldn't need to be a tournament level player to get there. Getting master certainly is an accomplishment, and if you get there yourself you should feel good about it, you deserve it. But Phil immediately announced that once he became master for the first time it invalidated any and all criticism about his gameplay EVER and you could tell he was sweating so hard to do as a flex.

His insistence on shouting "Spamming!" while he's in the middle of eating a 6-10 hit combo rustles my jimmies. No, Phil, getting combo'd is not "getting spammed." The point of a clean combo is that you can't do anything to stop it until the combo ends or the player drops the combo. Desperately mashing jab or block to try and end their combo early is a waste of time, but you're doing it anyway.

I’ll genuinely laugh if SF6 ever gets an actual ranking system. Imagine if towards master your losses (especially loss streaks) started making you lose more LP and you could actually drop out of master rank. And getting to master actually required you to win more than you lose. Like you should genuinely have to play well and develop a good MMR to get into it rather than spam games. I can see it now “Well I’ve had a good run with SF6 but unfortunately the lag is just too bad I can no longer take it” (there is no lag he just needs a reason to not play and lose master every time)

And thirdly he's trying to do grabs in the middle of hit strings. I'm fairly certain that doesn't work. Command grabs don't work if the opponent is in hit stun unless it's a command grab combo ender. Fairly certain it's cause hitting someone with an attack just to do your super grabs would be very cheap.
And he's not lucky, Phil you are super predictable that you try to jump in alot so he just calls when you're about to do it and either air fireballs or anti airs. Not difficult, don't act like it's just luck.
Guess the supposed fix to your lag did nothing. Like everyone thought you just suck. You are not some pro where a single frame can decide a match, so removing the supposed huge input lag(Supposedly half a second, or a third of a second, as he claimed, which is like 30-50 frames I think. My brother is the expert) Back to blasming everything under the sun and the cringey good sport Phil is gone again.

Went through all that "effort" to fix his input lag or whatever, was bragging about how fun SF is now and how it feels like a "new game." Proceeds to go back to hating it less than a week later.
