Just stumbled over this video on my homepage, and this was honestly so fun and well edited 😄 Fighting game videos often get kinda dry quickly, but this was just fun and fresh from cover to cover! Definitely subscribing and keeping watch! Thanks for a good time!
Thank you so much I really appreciate that! I'm having a lot of fun making these videos and seeing comments like these makes me really happy. I'm learning more and more as I go and I can't wait to put out more content for you guys!
Appreciate videos like these and I saw a vid where you finally hit Master, congrats. Just recently got into the FGC when GG Strive came out and decided to give SF6 a shot and the climb through the ranks has been a journey to say the least, but its refreshing seeing someone else go through it lol. I am at Diamond 3 with my girl Cammy myself and hoping to hit Masters with her soon
@@TBV5 Thank you so much I appreciate it! FGC is a fun community. I have to give GG Strive another shot. I have it waiting in my steam library lol. But I’m glad you enjoy my content. Comments like these really make my day so thank you so much again. Also good luck on your journey to master! It’s not easy but hopefully you get there soon!💪🏻
youre doing ok. id say start trying to be more aware of your meter and if someone keeps teching throw on jump in you gotta use lights when you land on plus frame jump in and youll beat grab. can offer you a few other tips but too much to type in here lol
Thank you so much for the tips, I really appreciate it! I've been trying to be more careful with my meter. My brain likes to use drive much a little too much lol. I'll also do my best to beat the tech throws on jump
A couple ways to get around Drive impact is, • reacting. React to an opponent’s Di with your own Di • React with a super level 1. It breaks armor. If it’s gonna kill, opt for level 3. One thing I’m gonna have to implement in my gameplay is •not using di-able buttons Like sweeps or heavy attacks that don’t confirm into Drive impact. • Could also do a throw if close enough, or command grab if you’re using a character who has access to one. • You can also parry a Drive impact Get some drive meter back If it’ll help, set up some drills in practice mode and lab your options against Drive impact. There should be a drive impact defense course in training anyways.
I’ve been working on it in practice a bit more recently. There are times where I grab (just out of luck lol) and when I parry. Sometimes if a player abuses it in a game I’ll catch on a bit. I try to time my level 1 to break it in corner a lot but being that I mentally prepare myself for the Di, I tend to be wrong a lot and end up losing. (Also I try to input it too fast which sometimes ends up not registering😭) I really appreciate the tips tho, thank you so much!
You know what? the neutral drive impact is an extremely advanced tech, the one's who posses it are the gods of Platinum rank that played so many hours doing the same thing and eventually they reached master rank catching the unfortunate players wich spected some rational gameplay
Drive impact makes me want to switch to tekken. I literally perfect people one round, then they buss out th DIs and I lose. I feel like I'm playing normal streetfighter until DIs start getting used.
@@noBody-ue6cs Yeah I’m not the biggest fan of them at all (as you can tell from the title of the video😭) Good for pressure but I just have the absolute worst timing for it lol.
Colboid, you are a good player but you are not going to improve much if don't address your lack of intention and planning against your opponent. Based on the video it appears as tho you are hoping your moves land, which is holding you back. You throw out "good buttons" bc u think that they are good but I haven't seen you use moves bc you know that they are good in specific contexts and with adaptation to your opponent. How often do you ask yourself what move is good at this specific distant and in relation to my opponents timing and play style? Or does your mind go this is a good button right here lemme use this. If you start poking more in neutral the opponent may start to turtle up, jump, DI, or counter poke, but you have to understand when you poke your setting up your opponent to do one or more things and punish it. This is the game top players are playing, I only hope to see you incorporate these strategies into your gameplay and I promise you will climb much faster. Don't focus on meter management and all that other crap if you are not playing against your opponent and planning your buttons to do specific things otherwise you will have all the meter in the world but will still lose bc you lack one thing.
I really appreciate all the feedback on this! I believe I see what you mean on how I think "this button looks good let me use this." I see that with my spin knuckle. I tend to throw out OD Spin knuckle when I shouldn't thinking it's always going to hit. Without a doubt you're right about the poke game. Something I def need to improve on when getting to master. Again thank you so much for all the feedback! I hope I'll make you proud!

"These DI's are annoying" I felt that
@@QuietLunacy Hands down my least favorite thing on SF6…Mostly bc my timing with them is so bad and I blank out on them a lot😭
Once you get used to them they will become your favourite thing as it's basically a free combo when your opponent tries to defensively abuse them.

When they do standing heavy punch into di, it’s a true block string. You can’t grab. You’ll have to level 1
