I think the coaches trying to repress shows what made this movie so much fun. Throughout the movie, it feels like you're in on the joke, like you're one of the guys. In the elaborate Cherry Forever practical joke, you see it from the hoaxter's pov. It's easy to imagine being back there in that room and reacting just as the African American character does.

I was born in late 97, and I didn’t see this movie until a year ago. But I will say that Porky’s is fucking hilarious. My favourite part of the movie is the Mike Hunt prank call, cause I remember my brother or my dad saying that one time, and me finding it hilarious and was shocked to find out that this movie is where the joke originated from. And on a minor note, to this day, I still don’t get why they call her Lassie.

These really are Oscar-winning performances. By one and all. The old coach facing the camera, against the wall... well, everyone. Nancy Parson's ability to say one line after another, without bursting herself. There is no better script-reading than this scene's. Further, I can't imagine re-doing this scene AT ALL. The measured stifling of laughter is fantastic.

People's attitudes have changed over 40 years. This crap is no longer acceptable. I saw this movie at 15 but at 57, it hasn't aged well at all.😊
